'The Accountant 2' starring
Ben Affleck
and
Jon Bernthal
will soon see the light of the smaller screens, as the film will be releasing on OTT this week. The sequel will continue to 'find the accountant' as Christian Wolff tries to find out who murdered his former associate.
When and where is 'The Accountant 2' releasing?
Amazon Prime Video recently announced that the sequel would be streaming on their OTT platform from June 5. 'Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to 'find the accountant,' Wolff is compelled to solve the case,' according to the official logline provided by the Amazon MGM Studios.
What will happen in 'The Accountant 2"?
Only this time, when Wolff is trying to solve the case, he recruits his highly lethal brother, Braxton Wolff (Jon).
The brothers partner up with the U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), and while they try to uncover the conspiracy theory, they become the target of the murderers who won't stop to keep their secrets buried.
Along with the aforementioned cast, other stars of Gavin O'Connor's film include J. K. Simmons,
Daniella Pineda
, Allison Robertson, Andrew Howard, Robert Morgan,
Grant Harvey
, and many more.
How are the characters different....
At a global press conference of 'Accountant 2' attended by ETimes, Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal discussed about how their roles are different from previous blockbuster franchises like 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'The Punisher,' respectively.
Ben stated, 'To me, what makes the action in 'The Accountant 2' so unique is that it's always rooted in character motivation. It's not about creating a shot that looks cool or building a sequence for visual flair. Everything is driven by what these characters want and why they are fighting in the first place.'
Jon Bernthal continued, 'You can't lie in a fight - you just can't. What you want is right there, so if you are going for it, you have got to know why. Gavin has a hunger to really dive into what makes these characters tick. For Brax, the emotional baggage from their childhood and their father's influence is always there. The violence isn't just for show - it's way to express love and loyalty.'

Arbaaz Khan requests privacy as paparazzi ask pregnant wife Sshura Khan to pose during family dinner outing: 'Samjha karo, aap bhi jaane do na?'

Arbaaz Khan is all set to embrace fatherhood once again at the age of 57. The Dabangg actor and his wife, Sshura Khan, are expecting their first child together, marking a new chapter in their relationship nearly a year after their wedding in 2023. On Wednesday night, the couple was spotted visiting Arpita Khan Sharma's newly opened restaurant in Mumbai for a family outing. They were accompanied by Aayush Sharma and his son Ahil, along with Sohail Khan and his son Yohan. Arbaaz and Sshura were seen entering the restaurant together, with Sshura wearing an oversized short dress to accommodate her baby bump. As the couple exited the restaurant, they posed briefly for paparazzi. However, Arbaaz was later heard requesting privacy, saying, 'Samjha karo, aap bhi jaane do na?' The remark came after photographers asked Sshura to pose from the side, which could have revealed her baby bump more prominently. Dressed in a loose-fitting outfit, Sshura attempted to keep a low profile during the outing. However, she was previously seen in a more form-fitting dress, where her baby bump was clearly visible. This will be Arbaaz Khan's second child. He shares his first son, Arhaan Khan, with ex-wife Malaika Arora. The former couple parted ways in 2017 after 19 years of marriage but continue to co-parent their son. While Arbaaz and Sshura have yet to make a public announcement about the pregnancy, fans have already flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the soon-to-be parents. Sshura Khan Spotted In Khar Arbaaz married Sshura Khan, a professional makeup artist, in December 2023. The two reportedly met on the sets of Patna Shukla, where Sshura was working as a makeup artist. Kamal Haasan thanks TN for supporting him on language row

Chennai: Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan who stood his ground refusing to apologise for his 'Kannada was born from Tamil' remark, thanked Tamil Nadu for firmly backing him during the controversy. "I thank Tamil Nadu for standing with me," Kamal said in his first public appearance since the controversy broke out. I now feel the true meaning of the words Uyire (my life), Urave (my kin), Tamizhe, which I say often" Kamal said at an event organised here on Wednesday to promote his movie 'Thug Life. ' Though he did not delve further into the controversy, Kamal expressed gratitude for the support from several politicians, film personalities, activists and authors for his remarks on Kannada. Municipal administration minister K N Nehru too extended support to Kamal saying that south Indian languages originated from Tamil. Even after the Karnataka high court rapped Kamal, the actor remained defiant and refused to apologise stating that 'love does not apologise.' Though the movie is releasing worldwide on June 5, Kamal has chosen not to release it in Karnataka where political outfits as well as the film industry demanded an apology from him for the remark. Film industry insiders say that the film could have done a business of upto 35 crore in Karnataka given the fact that his earlier hit Vikram's box office collection in Karnataka was around 22 crore. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo However, the 35 crore estimate would be the total collection out of which the producer's share would be around 10 to 12 crores. Tamil film producers say that Bengaluru is the only big market for Tamil films in Karnataka and there was a likelihood of Kamal fans driving down to Hosur which is 40 kms to watch Thug Life. In any case, there is also the possibility for a settlement with Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce enabling the film's release in Karnataka.
