Alwar: Vijay Mandir police, rescued a 22-year-old man, kidnapped from Alwar with the help of Bundi district police late Tuesday night. Four suspects were arrested, and the Bolero vehicle used in the crime was also seized.
Victim Hansraj, who works in share marketing and trading, was abducted Monday evening while returning home on his bike. According to the police, 5–6 men intercepted him and forcibly took him in their vehicle. His brother, Deshraj, reported the matter to the Vijay Mandir police after the family found his bike abandoned at the spot.
The kidnappers assaulted Hansraj, made an obscene video of him pleading for help, and sent it to his family, demanding a ransom of Rs 3.5 lakh.
They threatened to kill him and used WhatsApp calls to warn the family against contacting the police. Under pressure, the family transferred Rs 50,000 to the number shared by the criminals.
ASP headquarters Tejpal Singh said police traced the location in Bundi and launched a swift rescue operation. Hansraj was safely recovered, and four kidnappers—two from Khairthal and two from Bundi—were arrested. Police suspect the involvement of someone known to Hansraj, as the kidnappers had detailed information about his family.
Further investigation is underway to nab other accused and uncover the full conspiracy.

SP (detective) Saurav Jindal, heading the data compilation effort, stated that the team worked diligently to track down offenders and initiate the legal process. DSP Naveen Pal Singh Lehal added that several of the arrested individuals were found to have jumped bail, while others were already serving sentences in different cases — in such cases, production warrants were obtained to bring them under trial for pending charges. Some POs, however, fled the country, making their arrest more complex. "During our investigation, we found that fraud accused Preet Brar and his brother Amrit Brar, involved in a Rs 51 lakh cheating case, escaped to Canada. Similarly, Gaurav Kumar, accused in a journalist's murder, is now in Uttar Pradesh, and the wife of Armenia-based gangster Gaurav Padial has also reportedly left for Canada," the DSP added.

Arms seized from ISI-backed gang in Punjab AMRITSAR: Amritsar Police intercepted a cache of arms and ammunition and arrested five persons on Sunday. SSP, Amritsar-rural, Maninder Singh, said police have dismantled a major trans-border smuggling network of sophisticated arms and drug money, operated by Pakistan's ISI-backed handlers. Among the seizures are an AK Saiga rifle with two magazines, two Glock 9mm pistols with four magazines, 100 rounds of ammo, and Rs 7.5 lakh in drug money, apart from a car and three mobile phones, police said. The intercepted consignment was intended to be delivered to Nav Pandori, a known associate of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, indicating a broader terror-gangster nexus, police said. Those arrested have been identified as Jobanjit Singh alias Joban, Gora Singh, Shenshan alias Shahu, Sunny Singh alias Gana, and Jaspreet Singh alias Motu. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had direct links to Pakistan-based operatives, said the SSP.

3 killed as gunmen fire at protesters in Pakistans Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
Peshawar, Jul 27 (PTI) Unknown gunmen fired at a gathering protesting against counter-terrorism operations in Pakistan's northwestern province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, leaving three dead and many injured, a top official said. A day earlier, a mortar strike claimed the life of a girl in the Zakha Khel area of the Khyber District, sparking the Sunday demonstration, during which locals placed the girl's body in front of the Momand Ghuz security checkpoint. Suhail Afridi, the special assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, said three people died and eight were injured in the firing by terrorists on the demonstrators in the Tirah Valley. Following the incident, the grieving families and residents of the area staged a protest by blocking the Tank-South Waziristan Road, and demanded immediate identification and action against those responsible for the killings. Afridi said, 'Following the girl's death on Saturday, locals staged a protest in front of the Frontier Corps compound today. They had gathered near he gates when shots were fired."
