Looking Ahead: A Release Calendar of Upcoming Albums in 2025

Long before 2025 even kicked off, many artists were already starting to tease fans, hinting or downright saying they should expect new music in the upcoming year. More from Billboard Michael Clifford Scores Solo ARIA Top 10 Debut With 'Sidequest' Homixide Gang Return With 25-Track Album 'Homixide Lifestyle 2': Stream It Now Skegss Cover Sheryl Crow's 'If It Makes You Happy' for 'Like A Version' Take The Weeknd, for example. The artist born Abel Tesfaye began teasing his fans on Jan. 7, 2024, via social media. In an Instagram carousel, he shared the covers for After Hours and Dawn FM, followed by a black square with a giant white question mark in the center and a tiny parental advisory sticker in the bottom left. His caption? A single '3.' He finally revealed the title of the final album of his trilogy โ€” Hurry Up Tomorrow โ€” in September, and the day before Thanksgiving, shared its release date. But on Jan. 13, the musician announced that due to the deadly Los Angeles area wildfires, he was canceling his Jan. 25 Rose Bowl concert, and also delaying his album out of respect and concern for those in the impacted areas. Then there was Lady Gaga. Mother Monster surprised the Little Monsters with a simple message at the end of the Gaga Chromatica Ball concert film, confirming that her seventh album is indeed in the works: 'LG7 GAGA RETURNS.' But the tease, which debuted on the HBO Max film in late May, did not offer any hints as to when the highly anticipated release would arrive. It wasn't until her September Vogue cover story that Gaga revealed LG7 would arrive sometime in February 2025. Mayhem would eventually drop on March 7. And of course, things don't always go as planned. Joe Jonas announced in July 2024 that his new solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, would arrive Oct. 18, then shared in a September X post that the set 'is gonna come out later now' because he wanted to add some 'final touches.' (It arrived May 23.) With surprise album news, moving release dates and the sheer number of album announcements, it can be hard to stay on top of when new music by favorite artists is arriving. To help make sure fans don't miss out on big arrivals, Billboard's calendar of 2025 new album releases โ€” which will include the most notable releases from artists across genres, spanning hip-hop, K-pop, Latin, rock, pop, country and more โ€” will be updated regularly as new music is announced. The calendar is organized chronologically by month and week, and includes a section for albums that artists have announced, but have not given an exact release date. Revolve's Q2 Sales Rise 9% as Customer Counts and Average Spend Both Rise

Revolve's bottom line took a tax-related hit in the second quarter, but the party-ready e-commerce company continued to show top-line growth. Revolve's second-quarter net income fell to $10 million from $15.4 million a year earlier, hit by the timing of certain tax items the company expected to record this quarter. And adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 12 percent to $22.9 million. Gross margins increased 4 basis points to 54.1 percent of sales, getting a boost from a higher mix of owned brands. Overall sales increased 9 percent to $309 million. Sales at the Revolve division also rose 9 percent to $268.4 million, while Fwrd was up 10 percent to $40.6 million. The company's top-line growth outpaced its active customer count, which rose to 2.7 million for the last 12 months, an increase of 6 percent. Cofounder and co-chief executive officer Mike Karanikolas told analysts on a conference call: 'Our customer base continues to increase and, on average, we are generating more revenue per active customer, helped by a lower return rate year-over-year in our successful efforts to capture a greater share of the consumer's wallet.' He also touted Revolve's international growth. While the business is still smaller abroad, at $67.3 million in sales in the quarter, that marked 17 percent growth. Michael Mente, cofounder and co-CEO, said the company โ€” known for its high-profile events โ€” is getting heard in a crowded market. 'Our brand-elevating Revolve Festival held in April set the tone for the second quarter by delivering significantly greater marketing impact of reduced spending year-over-year,' Mente said. 'Aspirational content from Revolve Festival in the Coachella Valley dominated social media feeds during the one-week period around our events.' Shares of Revolve rose 1.5 percent to $21 in after-hours trading on Tuesday. Billboard Charts First-Timers: Audrey Hobert, Michael Clifford & More Earn First Chart Entries

Across Billboard's 200-plus charts this week (dated Aug. 9, 2025), there's a fresh wave of artists who make their first-ever chart appearances. This week's list includes a singer-songwriter behind several tracks on Gracie Abrams' album The Secret of Us, the lead vocalist and guitarist for 5 Seconds of Summer, a rising dembow bรฉlico star out of Mexico, and a yacht rock cover band that debuts with an original song. Take a look at the eclectic bunch below. While the RCA Records single marks Hobert's first chart hit as a recording artist, she previously charted as a songwriter on several songs from Gracie Abrams' The Secret of Us. Hobert co-wrote seven songs on the album, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in July 2024. Three of those songs โ€” 'That's So True' (No. 6 peak), 'I Love You, I'm Sorry (No. 19) and 'Risk' (No. 94) โ€” charted on the Billboard Hot 100. 'That's So True' was a major milestone for Abrams and Hobert, also hitting No. 1 on Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay and reaching the top five on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. Hobert has released two other solo songs so far โ€” 'Bowling Alley' (June 20) and 'Wet Hair' (July 23) โ€” but she's been performing several other unreleased songs on her Wanna Hear a Bunch of Songs I Wrote? Tour. Her debut album, Who's the Clown?, is due Aug. 15. Notably, Hobert's brother is fellow Billboard chart newcomer Malcolm Todd. He charted on the Hot 100 for the first time in April with his breakthrough single 'Chest Pain (I Love)' (No. 68 peak). Michael Clifford Thanks to his solo debut album Sidequest, Michael Clifford becomes the fourth and final member of 5 Seconds of Summer to chart as a solo artist. Released July 25 via Hopeless Records, Sidequest opens at No. 15 on Top Album Sales with 5,000 copies sold in the United States in its opening week. Of that sum, 2,000 were in vinyl, landing it at No. 19 on the Vinyl Albums chart. He also debuts at No. 5 on Emerging Artists. 5SOS had an impressive run in the 2010s. The band charted seven albums on the Billboard 200, six of which reached the top five and three of which hit No. 1: 5 Seconds of Summer (2014), Sounds Good Feels Good (2015) and Youngblood (2018). The group has charted 15 hits on the Hot 100, including the 2018 top 10 'Youngblood.' The band's drummer, Ashton Irwin, was the first member to chart solo, when he reached No. 77 on Top Current Album Sales with Superbloom in 2020. Vocalist Luke Hemmings was next, as he's charted two solo projects: his debut solo album When Facing the Things We Turn Away From reached No. 124 on the Billboard 200 in 2021, and his EP Boy peaked at No. 99 on the Billboard 200 in 2024. Bassist Calum Hood was the third, when his album ORDER chaos ORDER reached No. 179 on the Billboard 200 in June. Victor Mendivil The 19-year-old Mexican rapper earns his first U.S. Billboard chart entry this week with his new album Tutankamon, which he released July 24 on Oscar Maydon's Rico o Muerto Music label. The set opens at No. 9 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart and No. 19 on Top Latin Albums with 6,000 units, and features collaborations with other high-profile Mexican artists, including Natanael Cano, Luis R Conriquez and Gabito Ballesteros. Mendivil is among the fresh faces of dembow bรฉlico music, a genre that blends fast-paced hip-hop-inspired beats with the traditional sounds of regional Mexican music. While this is Mendivil's U.S. debut, he's already charted eight songs on the Mexico Songs chart, which is part of Billboard's Hits of the World collection. Yรคchtley Crรซw The nautical-themed yacht rock revivalists are now officially Billboard-charting artists thanks to their original song, 'Pain of Losing You,' which was by written 16-time Academy Award nominee Diane Warren. The track enters the Adult Contemporary airplay chart at No. 28 and is slated to appear on the band's upcoming album Seas the Night, which largely includes covers of soft rock staples from the '70s and '80s, including Toto's 'Hold the Line,' Hall & Oates' 'You Make My Dreams' and Steely Dan's 'Reelin' in the Years.' Formed in 2017, Yรคchtley Crรซw quickly built a cult following with high-energy covers of soft rock favorites from the yacht rock era. The band has maintained a residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and was spotlighted in HBO's Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary, which was released last November and also featured Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross and Toto.
