Turkish presidency strongly condemns Israeli assassination of reporters

Ankara - Saba: The Turkish presidency "strongly" condemned the Israeli entity's assassination of two Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip on Monday, indicating that the entity aims to cover up its genocide. According to Anadolu Agency, Burhaneddin Duran, head of the Turkish presidency's communications department, expressed his deep sorrow via the X platform on Monday over Israel's killing of five journalists, including Al-Jazeera correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqea, in an airstrike targeting a journalists' tent near Al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City. Duran said, "I pray to God to have mercy on our journalist brothers who were martyred while performing their duty, and I offer my deepest condolences to their families." He continued, "Israel targets journalists to obscure the view of its mass massacres, which it commits without discrimination between infants, children, women, the elderly, and the sick. It seeks to destroy humanity and the truth." He added, "I strongly condemn Israel's systematic targeting of journalists, which constitutes a war crime that violates international law. I also strongly condemn Israel's lawless brutality and its attempts to conceal the truth." He added, "I remember with compassion the 237 journalists killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. Israel will not be able to conceal this genocide and will be held accountable before the law." On Sunday evening, Al-Jazeera correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqea, along with three other members of the channel's crew, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a journalists' tent near Al-Shifa Hospital. With the martyrdom of al-Sharif and his colleagues, the number of journalists killed in the Gaza Strip has risen to 237 since the beginning of the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli entity on October 7, 2023, according to the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip.

Erdogan: Israel's crimes in Gaza exceed Nazi Atrocities – It's time to say 'Enough' in One Voice

Ankara – Saba: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Tuesday that so-called Israeli Prime Minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and his "criminal network" have surpassed Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in brutality. According to Palestine Now agency, Erdogan said that Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip have exceeded the Nazis in their savagery, stressing that anyone who remains silent about these crimes is complicit in them. "We call on everyone to take a humane and responsible stance on what is happening in Gaza, where humanity dies daily under bombardment, siege, and starvation," Erdogan added. "We will continue to expose Israel's criminal practices against Gaza and will not stay silent in the face of this injustice, which amounts to crimes against humanity," he continued. The Turkish president emphasized that "the shame of what is happening will not only haunt Benjamin Netanyahu but also everyone who remains silent and abandons the Palestinian people in their plight." He concluded: "It is time to say with one voice: Enough, before silence becomes a stain on the conscience of the entire world." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
