Detroit second baseman Gleyber Torres will lead off for the AL, followed by Tigers left fielder Riley Greene, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge, Seattle catcher Cal Raleigh, Toronto first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr,. Baltimore designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn, Tampa Bay third baseman Junior Caminero, Tigers center fielder Javy Báez, and Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson.
Ohtani led off for the AL in the 2021 All-Star Game, when the two-way sensation also was the AL's starting pitcher. He hit leadoff in 2022, then was the No. 2 hitter for the AL in 2023 and for the NL last year after leaving the Los Angeles Angels for the Dodgers.

Skenes and Skubal are 1-2 in average four-seam fastball velocity among those with 1,500 or more pitches this season, Skenes at 98.2 miles per hour and Skubal at 97.6, according to MLB Statcast.
Skenes, 23, is 4-8 despite a major league-best 2.01 ERA for the Pirates, who are last in the NL Central. The 2024 NL Rookie of the Year has 131 strikeouts and 30 walks in 131 innings.
Skubal, 28, is the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner. He is 10-3 with a 2.23 ERA, striking out 153 and walking 16 in 121 innings.

After the Cowboys improved six wins last season, the second most in Division I football, they made a change and brought back Viator after a nine-year absence. Yet the three-time SLC Coach of the Year and all-time winningest skipper in McNeese history sees his team picked for sixth in the league's preseason poll released Monday morning. McNeese managed to collect just 85 points, despite Viator's resume, which includes four championships and five playoff appearances in 10 years. That may just be the kick in the pants the Cowboys need as they look to get back in the race for a title after last year's 6-6 finish. Defending champion Incarnate Word was tagged as the favorite once again, picking up 15 of the possible 20 first-place votes. The Cardinals, who return preseason All-American wide receiver Jalen Walthall, finished with 158 points after going 11-3 last season. In just its second season back in the league, Stephen F. Austin was next with 137 points and three first-place votes. The Lumberjacks were one of three teams to finish last year with a 7-5 record. SFA finished just one point ahead of Southeastern, which was third at 136 and picked up one of the remaining two first-place votes. The other went to Lamar, which placed fourth with 112 total points. Both Southeastern and Lamar also finished 7-5 last season, but none of the three earned a second postseason spot for the Southland Conference in the FCS playoffs. We're 10 days away from the 2025 MLB trade deadline, so it's a good time to run through some of the big names available, along with the players who could be X-factors down the stretch for teams who deal for them. It's a thrilling time, as always! So let's run through a bunch of the noteworthy names reportedly available in MLB trade rumors: 3B Eugenio Suarez, Arizona Diamondbacks The, er, diamond of the deadline. He's a proven power hitter who's also leading the majors with 85 RBI as of publishing this. Any team in need of an upgrade to their lineups (hello, Yankees and Mets and pretty much everyone else) would love to have the third baseman. SP Zac Gallen, Arizona Diamondbacks He's lost the stuff that made him an ace-level starter, but that could just mean a change of scenery could do him right. SP Merrill Kelly, Arizona Diamondbacks Your standard aging starter who can be a perfect back-end SP on a possible World Series team. A no-brainer to trade for. If the Braves continue to be bad over the next week, do they deal the slugger? OF Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels He could be on his way to career high in dingers and RBI. Now's the time to sell high!
