Beyoncé trades in flying car stunt for flying horse during opening night in Atlanta
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter delivered an explosive performance during her first "Cowboy Carter" concert in Atlanta, brining back her song "16 Carriages." But this time, the standout moment came with a major twist.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her first concert at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on July 10. The concert marked her first of four shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to hit the stage again July 11, 13 and 14.
During the high-energy show, fans speculated whether Beyoncé would bring back her hit song '16 Carriages,' along with the eye-catching stunt that once featured a flying car. Toward the end of the show Beyoncé did in fact perform the song. However, this time, she flew in the air on a mechanical horse.
One fan wrote, "Omg she's on a horse!" Another said, "Ya'll have to be here. This is so amazing."
As fans know, during her opening show in her hometown of Houston, which took place at NRG Stadium on June 28, Beyoncé was forced to pause the show because a technical glitch caused the vehicle to tilt midair. She told everyone to "stop" repeatedly before being safely lowered and landing the car among the audience. There were no injuries.
At the following Houston show, Beyoncé cut "16 Carriages" from the set list completely and avoided flying in the air in a car. And many fans thought this part of the show might be permanently cut, as she completely skipped the song and stunt during her two shows at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland — five miles east of Washington, D.C.
As fans know, Beyoncé first announced the eighth studio album in February 2024 during a surprise Super Bowl commercial, releasing singles "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages." The tunes quickly gained popularity ahead of the album's full release March 29, 2024.
Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The nine-city tour has spanned the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale set for Las Vegas on July 26.

Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion, made it clear that he wasn't a big fan of Rodgers, who signed with his Pittsburgh Steelers. So he's got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I've done, the documentary, what I've said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about." While Rodgers and Bradshaw might have a lot in common on the football field, they've said pretty different things politically over the years. Bradshaw announced that he left the Republican Party, choosing to be an independent. He criticized President Trump, too. 'I've been a Republican, but now I'm a registered independent. I want the best person [in the White House], and I'll pick the one who's most like the way I feel,' he announced. Bradshaw took issue with how President Trump criticized NFL players for kneeling for the anthem. "This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it's freedom. People died for that freedom. I'm not sure if our President understands those rights—that every American has the right to speak out and to protest. Believe me, these athletes do love this great country of ours," Bradshaw stated. He added: "Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcare rather than ripping into athletes and the NFL." Rodgers, meanwhile, has shown his support for President Trump over the years, even posting a photo of himself shaking hands with POTUS on social media. He said it was "priceless." Rodgers has said that he would like to get to know Bradshaw, so hopefully that'll happen before the 2025 NFL season. But the duo might have some disagreements in the world of politics.
