Artist to serve up fish and chips at takeaway shop made entirely from felt
There are fish and chips, battered sausages, pies, packets of condiments including ketchup and vinegar, containers of mushy peas and jars of Cornish sea salt.
Visitors can sit on hand-made banquette seating and view walls filled with classic chip shop menus, shop signs and a gallery of hand-sewn portraits, all made from felt.
They will be able to purchase their felt fish and chip shop favourites from the traditional counter created from fabric – including 15 different chip shapes in five different colours.

There are felt takeaway boxes, huge shiny silver fish, bottles of Sarson's Malt Vinegar, Hellmann's Mayonnaise and Heinz Tomato Ketchup.
Sparrow, originally from Bath, Somerset, previously transformed the gallery into the Bourdon Street Chemist in April 2021.
She told the PA news agency: 'My shows are always set in those familiar community spaces that we all know and love, and the traditional chippy is such a strong example of this.
'Pretty much everyone has a favourite chippy tea – mine is large cod and chips, with loads of salt and vinegar, plus a Diet Coke.
'My aim for each installation is to completely transport the audience into a parallel felt universe.
'I've spent the last year hand-creating every element to make the Bourdon Street Chippy exactly that – a fully realised chip shop with every detail you'd expect, only in felt.'
For more than a decade, Sparrow has created life-sized felt versions of everyday spaces across the world.
The exhibition is at the Lyndsey Ingram Gallery in London (Jack Hall Media Assignments/PA)
These include a corner shop in east London in 2014, a New York bodega in May 2017, and a supermarket in Florida in 2022.
Each one of her installations is immersive, featuring thousands of artworks handcrafted from felt and available to buy directly from Sparrow and her team.
In June this year, Sparrow revealed she had struggled with anorexia since being a teenager and is now in recovery.
She added: 'My relationship with food has always influenced my art – the two are inextricably linked.
'Over time, I came to understand that my practice had become a way to manage difficult emotions. Art is both my outlet and my motivation to stay well.'

The gallery is usually a classic space, with white walls, wooden floors and pictures hanging on the walls.
Gallery founder Lyndsey Ingram said: 'We are excited to welcome Lucy Sparrow back to Bourdon Street for another of her felt creations – blurring the lines between performance and installation art, all in her distinctive felt language.
'Lucy is one of the most important and meaningful artists of her generation. I am pleased and proud that my gallery will again be a platform for her brilliant work.'
The Bourdon Street Chippy is free to visit from Wednesday to Sunday between August 1 and September 14, as well as August 25.

Boardmasters Festival 2025: ultimate guide to line-up, stage times, full timetable and programme, tickets and dates
Not many music festivals come with their own surfing competition, but that's what makes Boardmasters so special. Alternatively, book a day entry + return coach package which will take you home after the music's done. You can get those here. If your heart is still set on camping, and you're willing to pay a hefty price for it, there are still VIP camping passes up for grabs, which you can buy here. How to get to Boardmasters Festival Cornwall is not the easiest place to get to from pretty much anywhere else in the country, but you have a few different transport options. Train The nearest train station is Newquay, and there will be a shuttle service between the station and the festival ground available for £10. You will likely need to transfer trains at some point on your journey, so be aware of that. Shuttle bus The shuttle bus service is only £10, and gets you an unlimited pass for the weekend so you can make as many journeys to and from the campsite as you like. It runs between the Fistral and Watergate sites via Newquay train station and runs all day, and into the early hours of the morning. Coach If you've booked a coach with Big Green Coach, the festival's partner, you'll get dropped off right at the grounds. There are still a few coach tickets available from certain cities across the UK – you can have a look and get your last minute tickets here. Plane If you're flying in to Newquay, the easiest way to get to the venue is by taxi. It's a very short journey, and will take you right to the campsite entrance. Car and parking There is onsite parking available for anyone driving down. It's sold out now, but if you did manage to book parking, follow the green route as you get near Newquay. It will guide you to where you need to go. Are there any banned items? To ensure the festival goes ahead smoothly, there's a few things you're not allowed to bring with you. Here's a complete list of the banned items for Boardmasters: Animals (expect assistance dogs) Aerosols (excluding suncream and deodorant. Liquid suncream and roll-on deodorant are permitted) Bladed items, including multi tools Candles or sky lanterns Anything that could be reasonably considered for use as a weapon Campfires Drones or remote controlled flying devices Fireworks, flares, smoke bombs or smoke machines Food into the main arena (sealed food can be brought into the campsite). Man spends day at the beach as has people howling over tanning fail
Lewis Blackburn went on a beach trip with his wife Lisa and their children. He decided to go for a paddle on the beach and had his kids howling after the spotted his tanning fail A holidaymaker left his children in fits of laughter after revealing his comical tanning disaster whilst at the seaside this week. Lewis Blackburn was savouring a holiday trip to Newquay, Cornwall, with his spouse Lisa when he opted to wade into the water – completely forgetting that his bronzed legs contrasted dramatically with his pale feet. Sporting work boots throughout the week, the craftsman's feet haven't glimpsed sunlight all summer, whilst his legs are tanned from donning shorts. Snaps of the seasonal blunder became a sensation on Facebook, amassing 16,000 likes and sending onlookers into fits of giggles. "I work outdoors so my legs, arms, neck and face are always exposed to the sun – just not my bare feet, hence the whiteness of them," Lewis, from Northampton, told What's The Jam. He posted the image on Facebook, penning: "Second day into our Cornish holiday, staying near Bodmin, [we] decided today would be a beach day in Newquay. "I decided to go for a paddle in the sea with my kids, so I duly removed my footwear to expose the brightest, whitest feet on the beach. "Kids ran screaming, the elderly unable to run or turn away are blinded by the glare... it wasn't until I'd seen these photos [that I realised why]." The viral post generated thousands of responses. "Maybe you can guide Santa's sleigh this year," another person joked. Someone else remarked: "Hi-viz socks! Good to see you're being safe at the beach." Others labelled it the "tradie tan", while another joker asked: "Did you say beach day or bleach day? I was confused." Those who are planning a UK beach staycation with the kids during the summer holidays may want to consider one 'breathtaking' location that people have been talking about later. Cheswick Sands near Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland has been dubbed 'perfect' for those after some tranquility and peach and quiet.

Singer Jessie J returned to hospital with ‘infection' and ‘fluid on my lungs'
The 37-year-old, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said she has since discharged herself from the hospital where she was treated after breast cancer surgery just weeks ago, revealing in July that she had since seen 'no cancer spread'. In a post on Instagram, the Price Tag singer said: 'Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery. Not expected or planned. 'I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung, it is not a blood clot thank god. 'They ran a lot of tests, which ended up showing I have an infection (still trying to figure out what) and a little fluid on my lungs. 'Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient.' She went on to say it was 'frustrating' that her career plans had to change due to her surgery and hospital visits, and added that she had been 'working so hard to get to this point and excited to do it all'. Cornish said: 'I know for me, the true hard journey of this whole thing physically was the day I went into surgery. 'The recovery physically is far from quick or easy, and mentally it's been the most challenging time for me, especially as a mum with a toddler and being unable to be the mother I usually am.' The star said her visit to hospital was a 'reminder to myself to slow down' even though she felt she was already at a slow pace. Cornish added: 'This isn't a speedy recovery and it isn't meant to be. 'As an ADHD Aries, fire breathing dragon t-rex, I can do it myself, I'm always ok woman. That slow pace has been a hard reality to accept to be honest. 'I love moving and working and being up and active but I can't be right now, and that's what it is, and I am finding the strength knowing that all can be adjusted to align with a slower pace and the support of my very small inner support circle.' The London-born singer welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having had a miscarriage in November 2021. She has battled with ill-health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. The singer-songwriter has had three number one songs in the UK singles chart with Domino, Price Tag and Bang Bang. She was awarded four Mobo awards in 2011 including best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album with Who You Are, and won the Brit Award for rising star in 2011.
