SEA session for 90 winners of Invest bank scholarships
Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) hosted on Monday an orientation session for the Early Childhood Education Certification Programme, welcoming 90 students who received scholarships funded by Invest bank. These scholarships are part of a broader initiative involving 187 educational scholarships, previously announced by the Academy in February 2025, aimed at empowering classroom assistants seeking to advance their careers in early childhood education. This initiative is part of a strategic partnership between SEA and Invest bank, which was officially launched during the 4th Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education. The partnership underscores Invest bank's commitment to supporting the development of education in the UAE and the wider region, with a particular focus on early childhood education, which is recognised as the cornerstone for building future generations. The programme, accredited by the National Qualification Center (NQC), is designed to equip teaching assistants with cutting-edge pedagogical knowledge, skills, and practice. It emphasises the development of innovative Arabic language teaching methods, the reinforcement of national identity, the alignment of curricula with the UAE's values and vision for early childhood education, and the establishment of professional learning communities connecting educators and stakeholders in the sector. Developed in collaboration with the University of Helsinki HY+, the programme draws on the latest scientific research in early childhood pedagogy. It offers a robust combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, enabling participants to develop 21st-century teaching skills. SEA has taken on the task of localising and adapting the programme content to align with the UAE's educational context and national priorities. The programme is delivered in both Arabic and English through a flexible learning model, allowing participants to earn their specialised certificates in just six months, while accommodating their professional and personal responsibilities. This initiative represents a tangible example of effective collaboration between the education and banking sectors and reaffirms the Academy's vision to elevate the quality of early childhood education by preparing qualified, empowered educators capable of driving long-term educational progress. Applications are still open for the Spring 2026 intake. Classroom assistants interested in joining the Early Childhood Education Certificate Programme and taking advantage of remaining scholarships funded by Invest bank are encouraged to submit their applications through the Academy's official website. SEA continuously seeks strategic partnerships with leading local and international institutions and academic experts to achieve its objectives. With such partnerships, it guarantees developing educators through diverse and innovative academic programmes based on scientific research and access to global competitiveness in education. And by raising the level of teacher performance, student outcomes will advance to a new level of talents and qualified capabilities to meet the aspirations of the wise leadership to draw a road map for a brighter future.
