Best Hotels In Turks & Caicos 2025

Forbes30-05-2025
With its stunning turquoise waters and white sand beaches, the islands of Turks & Caicos are about as postcard-perfect as beach destinations come—and the best resorts in Turks & Caicos offer thoughtful amenities and exceptional service to help you enjoy it all. I've personally visited the islands over a dozen times and appreciate the destination's many opportunities to unwind, as well as its excellent accommodations.
If you're planning a trip, I've narrowed down the best resorts in Turks & Caicos based on multiple visits and stays. For a great cocktail scene, less crowds and an overall intimate feel, I recommend Rock House, while couples are sure to enjoy a romantic getaway at The Shore Club Turks & Caicos. For a private beach with oversized oceanfront villas, Amanyara is worth the splurge, and The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos is a luxe gem on Grace Bay Beach that's not to be missed. Below, the best resorts in Turks & Caicos in 2025.
Guest room at Rock House.
Rock House is a modern, boutique twist on the many traditional properties that currently dot the famed Grace Bay Beach. The fact that it's off the main drag from most of the hotel chains gives this unique property its feeling of privacy, making it a great choice for travelers who want more relaxation and less crowds. 46 luxurious accommodations (ranging from pool side studios to spacious two bedroom suites) offer sweeping views of the ocean, plus suites come equipped with their own private plunge pools, but no matter where you are on the property you'll feel like you have it all to yourself.
If you should ever want to venture outside the walls of your hotel room haven, a gorgeous pool perched above the ocean awaits, offering a low key space to take a dip and finally read that novel that's been collecting dust on your nightstand. Fare here doesn't disappoint either—upscale eatery Vita offers traditional Italian dishes sprinkled with Caribbean influence, such as lemon spaghetti with lobster, an indulgent yet fresh and aromatic delight. Poolside service is divine—don't miss the Highway To Hell cocktail, a Caribbean twist on the traditional margarita.
A private dining experience at Amanyara, Turks & Caicos.
If privacy and serenity is the end goal, look no further than a few days living in the lap of luxury at Amanyara. This ultra exclusive, high-end Asian-inspired property has exclusivity down pat, from a private white sand beach on the shores of a giant nature reserve, to ocean villas each equipped with their own infinity pool and floor-t0-ceiling windows. The minimalist freestanding rooms and overall calming aesthetic makes you feel as though you have the entire sanctuary to yourself. Wellness is a centralized theme here as well, from the in-room soaking tubs to the restorative spa offerings.
A view of the ocean from one of the private pools at The Strand Turks & Caicos.
As one of only four hotels on the island of Providenciales' south coast, The Strand Turks & Caicos offers all of the upscale amenities of some of the most coveted hotels on Grace Bay, with a little more privacy and seclusion than the bustling main touristy area of the island. New to the island in late 2024, The Strand is quickly becoming a popular option for those looking to escape, unwind and relax, sans the crowds.
Featuring accommodations from one-bedroom suites with balconies to six-bedroom residences, this property is great for couples and families alike. Added bonus: private beach access, an abundance of water excursions on the hotel's private boat, and 1,400 feet of exclusive canal and marina frontage. The DelMar, The Strand's oceanfront restaurant, offers specialties such as snapper tacos and chicken anticuchos, fusing flavors from Asia, Latin America and the Mediterranean.
A view of the pool at the Ritz Carlton, Turks & Caicos.
The Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos has one of the best hotel locations you can get in Providenciales, smack dab on the gorgeous Grace Bay Beach and close to many of the islands outstanding restaurants and activities. But whether you'll want to step foot outside the property while you're there at all will be the biggest dilemma. After all, the Ritz has everything you'll need and more right at your fingertips, from perfectly appointed hotel rooms and suites with oceanfront views and luxury linens (the beds here offer lavish slumber), to multiple restaurants and even a luxury casino just steps from the lobby.
Grab breakfast at oceanfront restaurant Coralli, a burger at the poolside bar, an elevated steak dinner at BLT and more. Then spend your days working off all those calories with a walk down Grace Bay Beach. Kids will love the Ritz Kids Club which offers a multitude of daily activities from sports to art and crafts. Adults will appreciate the Ritz-Carlton spa and amenities, which include saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and cold plunge tubs.
An aerial view of the resort at Pine Cay, Turks & Caicos
At only 800 acres, Pine Cay is the perfect getaway for those travelers looking for ultimate serenity. Situated between North Caicos and the main island of Provo sits this 2 mile-long private island that houses just one small exclusive resort with 13 hotel rooms and one restaurant, plus a cluster of private homes. Rooms inside the Meridian Club (a Relais & Châteaux property) are pristine, offering the luxury accommodations of a 5-star resort but with the rare privacy of an island uninhabited by other hotels. It's just under a 30-minute boat ride from Provo, but you'll feel like you're on the other side of the world. No cars inhabit the island, adding to the adventure, so prepare to take golf carts everywhere. A sociable clubhouse, freshwater swimming pool and tiki beach bar will help you unwind and imbibe.
For groups or families, rent one of the island's private villas. The Boat House, fresh off of a gorgeous renovation that took place in 2022, accommodates 6 guests and features three en-suite bedrooms (each with an outdoor shower) a full kitchen, dining room and expansive outdoor deck. The Boat House also comes with everything you need for getting around the island, including two golf carts, 2 bicycles, kayaks and access to all the amenities the hotel has to offer.
A view of the pool at nighttime at the Shore Club Turks & Caicos.
Dotted along the sandy and less inhabited beaches of Long Bay, Shore Club is only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Grace Bay Beach, but offers guests a serene respite in an area of the island where few other properties reside. From its multiple pools to its well-appointed guest rooms and suites, this property has an elite reputation for a reason. For couples, The Shore Club offers a luxurious way to relax and unwind, with romantic dining experiences, a luxurious spa inspired by nature, and plenty of hidden spots throughout the property to escape and enjoy a private cocktail.
Wellness abounds at this hotel, as evident by the spa's oceanfront treatment bungalows where you can enjoy a couple's massage in view of the beautiful beautiful Long Bay Beach, to the tennis courts, to the state-of-the-art fitness center equipped with everything you need to stay on track with your workouts. Even after years of visits to Turks & Caicos, Shore Club is always high on my list of hotels to return to.

This Luxury Ischia Resort Just Reopened After A Stunning Renovation

Fans of Ischia, the enchanted Italian isle some 20 miles from Naples with a less-traveled allure all its own, have another reason to head to its storied shores in the months ahead: the reimagined San Montano Resort & Spa. Having originally debuted in 2008, the singular five-star property–perched atop Mount Vico in the town of Lacco Ameno on Ischia's northwestern coast–has just unveiled a renovation, four years in the making, that's sure to dazzle both new and longtime visitors to the volcanic island long revered by discerning travelers for its rich history, wild beauty, and unassuming charm. San Montano Resort & Spa, one of Ischia's most celebrated resorts, debuted a dazzling renovation this summer. Serena Eller A stunning homage to Italy's arguably unrivaled aesthetic legacy, the redesign–by Rino Gambardella and Claudio Pulicati, the dynamic duo who also designed San Montano's celebrated sister hotel, Borgo Santandrea, which opened to breathless acclaim in 2021–incorporates elements from postwar masters like Gio Ponti and Ico Parisi, while embracing hyperlocal craftsmanship and the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. 'Our expansion and renovation was a direct response to Ischia's emergence on the global luxury travel map,' says General Manager Arcangelo De Siano , whose family, a notable player in Italian hospitality for three generations, acquired the property in 2008. 'We observed a distinct shift: discerning travelers, increasingly seeking a more authentic, slow-paced, and wellness-centric experience, began to discover Ischia and San Montano. We saw a clear opportunity to take San Montano to the next level within the luxury segment, and to align our offerings with the evolving desires of sophisticated clientele." Guests of the resort can stroll its 7.5 acres of parkland and Mediterranean gardens, which reflect Ischia's exuberant nature. Serena Eller The resort's 65 newly revamped rooms encompass four different room types and eight luxurious suites. The décor melds the kaleidoscopic blue color palette of the Mediterranean with modern marble and terracotta accents, and bespoke furnishings artfully crafted from repurposed elements like reclaimed antique majolica tiles. All suites feature a private pool or jacuzzi–like the sumptuous Amalfi Sunrise Suite, whose spacious infinity pool overlooks the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius beyond. The Lighthouse Suite, a unique two-bedroom villa housed in the remnants of a former military lighthouse at the top of the property, ranks among the renovation's most exquisite additions. Offering 360-degree views the Tyrrhenian Sea from the resort's highest point, the brand-new suite accommodates up to six guests in two rooms that incorporate ground-level elements from the original architectural footprint, including a unique circular bathroom with original portholes that frame the seemingly boundless seascape. The "Winter Garden," the Lighthouse Suite's standalone, glass-enclosed living room, features a fully equipped kitchen and living area accented with artisanal touches. SERENA ELLER The sky-high hideaway also features a standalone, glass-enclosed living space spanning nearly 1,000 square feet, aptly called the 'Winter Garden,' which seamlessly brings the outside in with a retractable roof, fully equipped kitchen, and vistas galore, accented with artisan-crafted ceramics and a panoply of natural materials. 'We want our guests to feel like they are staying in our home, rather than in a hotel,' says Francesco De Siano, San Montano's co-owner and sales director. 'Spending time around the kitchen and the dining table represents the real Italian way of enjoying life: being together with family and friends, sharing good food and good wine. That's why the kitchen, together with the beautiful living room, represents the true soul of the Lighthouse.' The suite's 11,000 square feet of outdoor space include a private garden with a plunge pool shaded by fragrant lemon and olive trees–a prime perch for soaking up the island's spectacular sunsets. Presiding over the resort from its highest point, the Lighthouse Suite offers a luxurious world of its own. San Montano Resort & Spa San Montanto's wellness offerings are rooted in the island's natural healing elements: Ischia's more than 100 natural, mineral-rich thermal springs, reputed to have healing properties, have drawn visitors since ancient times. Besides five thermal pools–each a different temperature for a revitalizing circuit treatment–six additional outdoor pools, including a large seawater pool, provide plenty to options for a revitalizing dip. The hotel's natural grotto sauna, carved into the rock and warmed by thermal waters, amplifies the immersive wellness experience. Meanwhile, San Montano's Ocean Blue Spa, which spotlights local ingredients and centuries-old Ischian wellness traditions, offers a wide array of treatments, from traditional mineral-rich mud therapies to physiotherapy and kinesiotherapy. Facilities include five treatment rooms, a sauna, hammam, Kneipp pool, and experience showers, as well as an outdoor treatment area ideal for reveling in the exuberant nature that earned Ischia its 'Green Island' moniker. The property has also debuted new wellness programming, including guided hiking tours to Monte Epomeo–the island's highest peak at nearly 2,600 feet above sea level–yoga sessions in the hotel's gardens, and cooking classes using hyper-local ingredients. Guests can also stroll the property's 7.5 acres of lush parkland and Mediterranean gardens. In a nod to sustainability, drought-resistant greenery and native vegetation were reintroduced in the redesign, enhancing the hotel's natural grandeur while supporting a more balanced microclimate. La Veranda, the property's fine-dining restaurant, serves up delectable Italian cuisine and breathtaking views. San Montano Resort & Spa San Montano's culinary offerings, overseen by Executive Chef Francesco Scotto di Minico, spotlight age-old traditions and ingredients plucked from the hotel's gardens, along with just-caught local seafood and artisanal ingredients sourced from top regional purveyors. La Veranda, the property's fine dining restaurant, serves up inspired dishes like lobster panzanella and ravioli with traditional Ischian rabbit sauce. At lunchtime, pizza-lovers will want to beeline to Franco's for standout Neapolitan pizzas like its signature 'Lemontano,' topped with mortadella, buffalo mozzarella, pistachios, and lemon zest, and served on a sun-splashed panoramic terrace complete with jaw-dropping views. Light poolside fare like panini take center stage at Acropoli Bar, while the Sunset Bar is the island's go-to for aperitivo at dusk, where head bartender Ambrogio carefully crafts zingy cocktails with local bitters and herbs from the garden, as live piano and harp music fills the air. Wine lovers can also explore the hotel's extensive cellar stocked with Campania's finest vintages, with private tastings available for those keen to explore the region's winemaking heritage. Craft cocktails made with herbs from the kitchen garden take center stage at the Sunset Bar. Serena Eller Speaking of wine, San Montano's concierge team can arrange visits to centuries-old vineyards to taste indigenous Biancolella and Forastera wines, along with an array of other experiences on the island, from scooter tours to private excursions aboard the hotel's four luxury boats to fishing with local fishermen. History buffs will want to visit Castello Aragonese, an imposing medieval castle dating back to 474 B.C., that presides over an islet to Ischia's east and connected by a causeway; its steep, narrow stairwells and surrounding rocky outcrops present an ideal opportunity to walk off some indulgent pasta dinners. Green thumbs won't want to miss Giardini La Mortella, one of Europe's most captivating private botanical gardens. Created in 1958 by Lady Susana Walton—wife of British composer, Sir William Walton—with the help of English garden designer Russell Page, the breathtaking sanctuary reflects her five-decade devotion to its painstaking cultivation. Connected to the island by a causeway, Ischia's Castello Aragonese is one of the island's most visited attractions. Corbis via Getty Images However guests choose to spend their time in Ischia, they'll be spoiled for choice. "The uniqueness of the island comes from its diversity and the richness it offers within a remarkably compact footprint,' says Arcangelo De Siano. 'Despite being about four times the size of Capri, Ischia remains incredibly accessible, allowing visitors to go from one side of the island to the other within minutes, yet it is astonishingly dense with authentic experiences, history, and culture."

These Lesser-Known Islands In The Bahamas Are The Caribbean's Next Big Thing

Caerula Mar Club on South Andros Island in the Bahamas. Caerula Mar Club Travel to the Caribbean is surging this summer, but it's the islands of the Bahamas that are burning brighter than ever. The island nation welcomed a record-shattering 11.22 million visitors in 2024, surpassing the previous year's record by 16.2%, and more than doubling pre-pandemic figures. But while the profound appeal of the Bahamas is no secret, it's where those visitors are heading that might surprise you. Increasingly, visitors are leaving Nassau, flocking to lesser-visited islands in search of crowdless coastlines that whisper tropical paradise rather than scream busy, built-up resort town. It's a change that is putting some of the most beautiful islands in the archipelago on the map for the very first time. The Out Islands are some of the least visited islands of the Bahamas, but arguably the most beautiful. Caerula Mar Club More than 700 islands and cays comprise the Bahamas, yet for much of their history, just two main islands have welcomed any meaningful number of visitors: New Providence, home to the capital city of Nassau, and Grand Bahama, home to the bustling port of Freeport. Now, it's the less-populated, much less-visited "Out Islands" of the Bahamas that take center stage in the nation's recent tourism boom. Named for their out-of-the-way location compared to Nassau, the Out Islands combined welcomed 40% less visitors than Nassau on New Providence Island in 2019. By 2021, visits to the Out Islands began to surpass those to the nation's capital, with nearly 5.5 million visitors traveling to the Out Islands last year. Tourism statistics from the first quarter of 2025 reveal that visits to the Out Islands already outpace those to Nassau by nearly 100,000 visitors. South Andros Island is one of the largest islands in the Bahamas, but one of the least populated. Caerula Mar Club The Out Islands of the Bahamas are generally smaller, less populated, and more challenging to access than more populated places like Nassau or Freeport, so what makes them so special? "The true magic of the Bahamas, for us, lies in the untouched beauty and genuine tranquility of the [Out Islands]," says Sarah Baeumler, owner of Caerula Mar Club on South Andros Island. "Unlike the bustling energy of Nassau, here on South Andros, you find a profound sense of peace, an opportunity to truly disconnect and immerse yourself in nature's rhythm." Of course, not all the Out Islands are created equal. Among them are islands like Bimini, which has long been popular for its proximity to Miami and plush properties like the 750-acre Resorts World Bimini. Also a part of the Out Islands are destinations like Coco Cay, privately held as a cruise ship port of call by Royal Caribbean, and Half Moon Cay owned by Carnival. Contrast these commercialized spots with islands like Eleuthera, the Abacos Islands, and Andros Island, known for their large expanses of totally untouched beaches and tranquil shores. Andros Island is the largest island in the Bahamas by far, yet it has just a tiny fraction of the population of other islands, preserving it as a mostly pristine expanse of seaside beauty. Poolside and beachside at Caerula Mar Club on South Andros Island. Caerula Mar Club Out, Out, And Away Even the smallest islands of the Out Islands are seeing scores of new visitors arriving, clamoring for their calmer shores. Since 2019, Andros Island has seen a whopping 36.6% increase in visitors, while Exuma has seen a 9.8% increase in visitor arrivals. Out Islands like Eleuthera and the Abacos report similarly impressive increases in arrival numbers. New developments on islands once considered too out of the way for travelers are part of the increasing attraction. On South Andros, Baeumler's Caerula Mar Club debuted in 2020 as the first property of its kind on the island. A boutique luxury escape with just a handful of rooms and villas, it makes the most of the island's miles of untouched shores while not infringing upon the raw, removed feel of the island that makes it so attractive in the first place. Baeumler and her husband purchased the ten-acre property and totally renovated it's existing structure to create a hideaway just steps off the white sands. The property features island-inspired beachfront dining, an intimate spa and wellness space for oceanside yoga classes and massages, sports courts and a gym, and a spacious pool deck alongside fun touches like hammocks, a pizza oven, and a full menu of excursions and experiences across the island. Prior to the property's debut, there was little here to welcome visitors. The island was mostly known as a haven for serious sports fishermen, who came flocking to fish the waters known for having the best bonefishing in the world. Now, their companions are just as comfortable relaxing by the pool or enjoying a massage while their partners hunt prized catches on the waves. It's a transformation of tourism on the island that can't be overstated. Eleuthera in the Bahamas. getty New and Improved Nearby Out Islands are welcoming similarly exciting projects that promise to transform tourism in their own way. On Eleuthera, airport upgrades look to enhance access to the island from neighboring islands and abroad, helping visitors access new accommodations like the recently opened Potlatch Club. On the same island, Jack's Bay is a private club and residential community set on 1,200 acres with miles of beaches, already home to a Tiger Woods-designed golf course. Another course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is set to debut next year. As the property continues to expand, private residences will be available for rent, for visitors looking to feel at home on what Woods called "one of the best pieces of property around the world." Later this year, Montage Hotels & Resorts will debut Montage Cay on a private island in the Abacos, featuring 50 suites, plush overwater bungalows, and residences stretching across a 53-acre property with every imaginable amenity. On Exuma, a highly-anticipated Rosewood Hotels & Resorts property is set to open its doors in 2028. Beachside villas on South Andros Island. Caerula Mar Club Out Island Experience Whether travelers are headed to one of the islands' new developments or sticking to something familiar, the experience on these far less crowded islands is similar. "It's about 'barefoot luxury,' a simpler, more authentic experience that allows for real connection with the island, its vibrant marine life, and the warmth of the local community," says Baeumler. Simply put, it's that paradise island feel that many are looking for when they dream of visiting the Bahamas in the first far, an experience only found far from Nassau's Paradise Island itself.
