Jaipur: A day after a hoax email led to a full evacuation of SMS Stadium, another threatening email sent Friday warned of bomb attacks targeting Jaipur Metro infrastructure, triggering a high alert across the city.DCP (Metro) Sushil Kumar said the threat mail, referencing "

", claimed that metro systems across the country would be bombed.
In response, Jaipur police launched an extensive security drill, conducting thorough checks at all metro stations and key installations. "All metro lines were secured and sanitised as per standard procedure," Kumar said.The email is the latest in a growing list of digital threats received in recent months. Police officials confirmed that over a dozen such emails were reported in the last three months, all of which turned out to be hoaxes.

Officials said that the matter was escalated to central cyber agencies, and the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) was approached for assistance.A senior officer said some email service providers have recently become less cooperative, citing an increasing number of hoax cases. "Earlier, major tech firms treated these as emergency disclosures. Now they process such requests slowly, classifying them as routine queries," the officer said.

1 2 Bokaro: A boy, linked to criminals and desperate to get easy money, kidnapped his school friend but later murdered him in a manner so brutal that even police were left stunned. The gruesome crime took place in the Gamen Colony area under the city police station on Thursday. The accused, identified as Aman Kumar Vats, (19), has been arrested. According to police, Vats lured his schoolmate, 19-year-old Debashish Kumar, to a rented house after calling him out of his house. Vats then made Kumar consume a large amount of alcohol. Once Kumar lost consciousness, Vats tied Kumar's hands and feet, recorded a video from the victim's mobile phone, and sent it to his family with a ransom demand of Rs 25 lakh. Later, Vats got scared of being identified and killed Kumar by strangling him. To hide evidence, he buried the body in a tank of the courtyard of the rented house, covered it with soil, and planted a sapling over it to conceal the crime. Police were alerted after the ransom video was shared by Kumar's family. Using mobile surveillance, they quickly tracked and arrested Vats. The truck, which was coming from Market Yard, was not supposed to move towards the Aai Mata temple as heavy vehicles are banned on Gangadham-Shatrunjay road. Call centre of cyber scam busted, 15 held
Lucknow: A sophisticated multi-layered fraudulent call centre orchestrating a wide range of cyber scams across India was busted in Lucknow. This digital fraud operation, which used platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and the Reddy Anna betting app, is believed to have been remotely controlled by a mastermind operating from Dubai. The local call centre in the Vrindavan Yojna area functioned as a dummy terminal for outreach and coordination. The gang duped over 1,000 people from across India, minting several crores. A total of 15 accused were arrested during a coordinated raid at a residential tower in Vrindavan Yojna on Thursday. Additional DCP, Crime Unit, Vasanth Kumar, who led the probe, told TOI that during questioning, all 15 accused admitted to involvement in cyber fraud and online gambling, targeting people across multiple states in India. "They claimed they destroyed devices after usage and regularly changed locations to avoid detection. The Cyber Crime Portal confirmed 69 complaints linked to the seized phones and 157 complaints tied to recovered passbooks and cheque books," he said. Funds were funnelled through layered mule accounts, betting platforms like Reddy Anna, and cryptocurrency wallets to avoid detection.
