Stephen A. Smith hurls pointed 'housewife' insult at Michelle Obama after she made Trump claim he can't stand

Daily Mail05-08-2025
Stephen A. Smith has pointedly told Michelle Obama he will 'never be a housewife' after the former First Lady compared ESPN and its host to the ' Real Housewives of Atlanta.'
Smith is the star of 'First Take' and recently signed a $100million contract with ESPN. He has even teased a possible run for president.
But Smith and the network found themselves in the firing line last week, when Obama compared them to ' Real Housewives of Atlanta.'
The ESPN star has since blasted Obama over 'offensive' comments she made about Donald Trump and now he has directly addressed her jibe.
During an interview with Fox's Sean Hannity on Monday night, the ESPN star suggested Obama's remarks prove that she leaves sports 'to her husband', Barack Obama.
He also added: 'You can say Stephen A. Smith is lot of things and will be a lot of things. The one thing you can never say about me is that I'm going to be a housewife.'
He told Hannity: 'She was comparing reality TV to sports TV from the standpoint of watching us go at one another,' Smith began.
'Well first of all, there's no relationship because these are some of the greatest athletes on the planet earth that play professional sports - that's who we're talking about as opposed to reality TV stars that can barely act.
'No 2, when you look at what she's talking about, you also have to take into consideration that she doesn't really pay much attention to sports - evidently she leaves that to her husband.
'And when she talked about 'First Take' she talked us arguing with one another, hating on one another. We have a lot of love for one another on 'First Take'.
'We get along just fine, we have a blast - laughing, joking, having a ball, yelling at each other about sports sometimes. We're monotone in our delivery but we have a lot of fun on 'First Take'. That's why we've been No 1 for 13 consecutive years - and counting.
'No 3, let me say this to the other people that were on the table with her. You can say Stephen A. Smith is lot of things and will be a lot of things. The one thing you can never say about me is that I'm going to be a housewife. There's no confusion there. Zero.'
Obama sparked the war of words with comments she made on a recent episode of her 'IMO' podcast.
'If I listen to ESPN for an hour, it's like watching the "Real Housewives of Atlanta,"' the former First Lady said.
'It's the same drama, and they're yelling at each other, and they don't get along, you know? I mean, Stephen A. Smith, he's just like every other talk show host.'

Nationals jump ahead early, ride bullpen arms to win over Mets

August 21 - Josh Bell homered and drove in two runs to help lift the host Washington Nationals to a 5-4 victory over the New York Mets on Wednesday. Dylan Crews also had an RBI double and scored twice for the Nationals and Drew Millas had an RBI triple. Rookie Brad Lord (4-6) improved to 2-0 in his last three starts despite allowing four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. Cole Henry worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth inning and Shinnosuke Ogasawara and Clayton Beeter retired the side in order in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively. Jose Ferrer secured his third save after inducing Luis Torrens to ground into a game-ending double play. New York's Brett Baty homered in his second consecutive contest and Jeff McNeil added a two-run double for the second straight day. Pete Alonso added an RBI double for the Mets, who saw their three-game winning streak come to a halt. Washington benefited from a catcher's interference call en route to loading the bases in the third inning before Crews scored the game's first run as CJ Abrams legged out an infield single. Robert Hassell III then scored on Bell's sacrifice fly to center field to stake the Nationals to a 2-0 lead. Washington doubled the advantage in the fourth after Crews ripped a double off Kodai Senga (7-5) to plate Paul DeJong before trotting home on Millas' triple to right field. Baty put New York on the board in the fifth inning after depositing a 2-2 fastball from Lord over the wall in right-center field. The Nationals regained their four-run advantage in the fifth after Bell sent a 2-1 cutter from Senga over the wall in right-center field. Francisco Lindor scored on Alonso's double into the right-field corner in the sixth inning and McNeil followed with a two-run double to left to chase Lord. Cole Henry relieved Lord and promptly loaded the bases before inducing Cedric Mullins to fly out and Torrens to ground out to end the threat. Senga yielded five runs (four earned) on six hits in five-plus innings to fall to 0-2 in seven starts since returning from the injury list following a strained right hamstring. --Field Level Media

Revealed: Nick Kyrgios made OnlyFans videos with tennis star who stunned the sport with bombshell sex-work confession

Aussie tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios has hosted a reality show for OnlyFans TV alongside American star Sachia Vickery, who this week revealed she's making a fortune by selling raunchy content on the platform. Vickery has carved out a successful side career, selling steamy photos of herself and charging men a $1000 deposit to date her. She joined adult content site OnlyFans earlier this year, breaking the news to her fans in a bombshell update on her Instagram. 'Tennis anyone? OF link in my bio Big project and features coming soon ( p.s happy Valentine's Day ),' the announcement read, alongside a racy snap of her in far-from-traditional tennis whites. For $12.99 a month, subscribers have access to 'the content too spicy for Instagram,' according to Vickery's OnlyFans bio, which also describes her as 'your favorite pro tennis player.' Her platform teases her 'longest shower vid yet,' stripteases and 'spicier' pictures, while also asking her fans to rate her 'riding skills' as she shares risque videos and saucy snaps. Vickery has banked just over $2million throughout her 14-year career on the court. Outside of the sport, she asks for a $1,000 deposit fee to date her. 'I no longer date for free due to the behavior of men I now require a pre-date deposit send me 1,000 and we can make it happen my cashapp is $Sachiavick,' she told her 39,400 followers during an Instagram Q&A session earlier this week. Earlier this year, Vickery starred in a four-part OnlyFans TV series, which is co-hosted by Kyrgios and reality TV star Sophie Stonehouse. It also stars adult actress Rachel Starr. The show, Smash City, sees the OnlyFans creators hit the Pickleball court in an attempt to win $20,000 in prize money. The show was first teased by Kyrgios on March 1 in a clip featuring him and Starr enjoying a pickleball game. 'Who's your money on? Tennis meets Pickleball,' the post was captioned. 'I enjoyed hosting it, and I love competition in general,' Kyrgios said. Kyrgios isn't just a fan of Pickleball - he has also invested in the on-trend sport. Vickery hit back at her critics with a raunchy post on her Instagram after the news broke. Taking to her Instagram story on Wednesday, Vickery shared a video of herself in a bikini with the caption: 'Imagine hating me and I'm in my room like this everyday'. The following post on her Instagram story appeared to promote her OnlyFans page. While Vickery's move may have sent ripples through the tennis world, she has no regrets. She previously revealed that she's always seen herself as something of a revolutionary - and she referenced how she and Kyrgios differ in the way they use OnlyFans. 'I've always pushed boundaries,' she said on the Black Spin Global podcast earlier this year. 'I've always been outspoken about racial hate I get online, bodyshaming. I'm very open about a lot of stuff. 'I'm still playing tennis, my career is still going but I also want to do things outside of tennis. I'm starting to explore more opportunities on social media.' 'Obviously there are levels to OnlyFans, you have athletes like Nick [Kyrgios] and Alex [Muller] who are going to be posting tennis content for the most part and then you have the other complete extreme, which I'm not. I'm in that middle gap,' she added. 'I set it up in January and it just took off. Being a tennis player definitely helped my marketing. I'm at a stage where I don't do the absolute most on there but I'm comfortable as I need to be. I'm doing really well. 'Obviously, I'm going to get some negative feedback but that's just normal. Whatever you do in life there's always going to be some criticism. If I was doing nothing I'd be getting criticism, so I might as well get on the platform and make money while I'm at it.' Yet as she stepped onto the Grand Slam stage in Flushing Meadows again this week, Vickery once again hit back at her critics. 'I'm very open-minded and I don't care what people think of me … it's also the easiest money I've ever made and I enjoy doing it,' said Vickery when asked about balancing the two entirely different worlds together in an Instagram Q&A session. 'I will never talk s*** about girls on OnlyFans ever again for the rest of my life. Because the amount I made on there in my first two days, I am overwhelmed. I am just shook really.'

Pia Whitesell flaunts her wealth as she shows off her $57million Bel Air mansion's resort-style pool and luxe backyard

Pia Whitesell has given fans a glimpse into her luxurious lifestyle in a recent social media post. The Aussie star, who lives in California with her multi-millionaire Hollywood talent agent husband Patrick Whitesell, took to Instagram on Thursday to flaunt her $57million Bel Air pad. In the clip, the 41-year-old panned across her outdoor area, which boasts a resort-style pool and lush backyard. An outdoor table sits below a tree filled with wicker lanterns, perfect for alfresco dining. Sun loungers line the modern swimming pool along with umbrellas offering shade from the hot Californian sun. With summer in full swing, Pia's garden looked lush and green, with no clouds in sight, while her sister Paz Loyola Blanco enjoyed a dip in the pool. This isn't the first time the former Home and Away star has shared snaps of her mega-mansion. She shared a glimpse at her lavish living quarters in an Instagram Stories post in May, highlighting the soaring arches of her spacious abode. Also featured was a neon pink artwork on the wall. There were black couches and beige seats in the living space alongside a grey marble seating area. Elsewhere, the property also features a driveway lined with olive trees and its own maids' quarters for staff. It spans over 19,000 square feet and sits on 1.35 acres of land. The Holmby Hills home has a top-of-the-range security system and offers complete privacy, tucked away from street view. The mansion has a luxurious but cosy feel inside, a dramatic foyer and fireplaces throughout, creating a luxurious yet cosy atmosphere. There's also a gourmet kitchen, a library and a home theatre, in addition to a smaller guest house on the grounds. Hollywood power player Patrick, 60, is the proud owner of the $57million Tuscan-style home. He is the executive chairman of Endeavor talent agency and is widely considered one of Hollywood's most influential figures, with a client list including Ben Affleck, Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale. Patrick and Pia tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2021. Soon after, they gave their home a makeover, with extensive renovations taking place while temporarily residing at their oceanfront Malibu property.
