FOO Fighters' axed drummer Josh Freese has taken a swipe at the band by listing 10 tongue in cheek reasons he could have been fired from the band.
Widely-considered one of the best living rock drummers, musician for hire Freese, 52, was left stunned this week when the Foos relieved him of his services.

The drummer played on their critically-acclaimed 10th album, But Here We Are, and subsequent world tour after being named as the successor to the late Taylor Hawkins following his death in 2022.
Yesterday, Freese took to Instagram to share his list of reasons behind his departure.
Among them was that he whistled Foos anthem My Hero non-stop on tour; he could only name one song by the hardcore band Fugazi; his drumming skills were too good; he promised The Offspring axeman Noodles he could join the band as fourth guitarist, and cited his inability to grow a beard.
Followers appreciated the humorous swipe at the situation, with one writing: " so much respect for you and the way you've shared this news and the humor is always spot on!"
Another wrote: "I love this so much, you are a class act Freese."
A third said: "Friggin awesome."
The Foo Fighters, who are led by frontman Dave Grohl, have yet to publicly comment on the personnel change.
Though they have since shared three new 2025 tour dates in Asia.
Freese, whose other prominent gigs included drumming for Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Devo, broke the news by writing: "Well, there it is.
'The Foo Fighters called me Monday night to let me know they've decided 'to go in a different direction with their drummer.' No reason was given.

'Regardless, I enjoyed the past two years with them, both on and off stage, and I support whatever they feel is best for the band.
'In my 40 years of drumming professionally, I've never been let go from a band, so while I'm not angry - just a bit shocked and disappointed.
'But as most of you know, I've always worked freelance and bounced between bands, so, I'm fine.
'Stay tuned for my 'Top 10 possible reasons Josh got booted from the Foo Fighters' list.'
Fans of the band are speculating that Shane Hawkins, 18, will be named as Freese's replacement.
Like Freese, Hawkins played with the band at the huge commemorative show at Wembley Stadium in honour of his dad Taylor.

He is currently playing with Chevy Metal, the covers band his dad founded, and revealed his excitement for a short US tour.
Meanwhile the latest Foos-related drama follows Grohl's revelation last September that he'd fathered a baby outside of his marriage.
The 55-year-old shares three daughters with his wife, Jordyn Blum, with their first child, Violet Maye, being welcomed in 2006.
Grohl wrote at the time: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness," he continued.
"We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
It has since been revealed the baby's mom is 38-year-old rock 'n' roll fan Jennifer Young.

Glastonbury: Who are Patchwork and the festivals other secret stars?
After the full Glastonbury timetable was published this week, one band's name was on everybody's lips. Except no-one knows who they actually have a prime place on the festival's line-up - third from the top of the bill on the main Pyramid Stage on the Saturday night. The only thing is, there's no band called a fake name for a mystery guest - just as an unknown band called The ChurnUps were on the Pyramid bill in 2023, and turned out to be the Foo immediately went into overdrive to try to work out Patchwork's identity - part of the frenzied guessing game surrounding the festival's "surprise" sets. Who are Patchwork? The main theories include:Pulp - The Britpop heroes, who stepped in to headline in 1995 (and did a secret set in 2011), have just released their first album for 24 years and have a gaping hole in their tour schedule around Glastonbury. Plus, eagle-eared fans noticed that keyboardist Candida Doyle talked in a BBC Radio 2 interview this week about her patchwork hobby. Their spokesman has said it's not them. But is that a bluff?? Likelihood rating: 9/10 but because of the official denial, actually 3/10Haim - The singing US sisters also have a new album and have a UK show in Margate on the Friday of Glastonbury weekend - so it would make sense. Plus fans have discovered that Patchwork is the name of an obscure 2011 German novel by author Sylvia Haim (no relation) and an obscure 2015 film about three young women. Conclusive?! 7/10Mumford and Sons - The 2013 headliners are also on the comeback trail, but if they're Patchwork some might think it a bit underwhelming. 6/10 Oasis - It would be a bit overwhelming if the Gallagher brothers returned to Glastonbury to reunite a week before their first official gig. But they have categorically ruled it out. 0.5/10Robbie Williams - He has a new album called Britpop with artwork using a photo him at Glastonbury in 1995. 5/10Oasis and Robbie Williams - The name Patchwork could suggest a supergroup, so how about the real reunion we've all been waiting for, after they famously partied together in 95? 1/10 that Robbie plays and Liam rocks up to shake a tambourine for one conclusion: I don't know. "Radiohead also are in the mix of rumours because they've been teasing some tour action," suggests music journalist and broadcaster Georgie Rogers, who was a judge for Glastonbury's emerging talent competition this year and is DJing at the festival."Or could Elton John be returning to do something with Brandi Carlile?" Hype machine "Now that we've been around for 10 years and have a decent bit of clout, we will contact some of the artists via their inboxes, and quite often they're happy to confirm."Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they block us. But generally we're able to piece all that together fairly quickly."He adds: "By the time the gates open, there aren't many things we don't know."In the past couple of years, some acts have begun harnessing the buzz about secret sets for PR purposes for their album or tour, Ad believes."It used to just be friends of the festival, whereas now people are like, 'If we do the secret set we're going to get loads of hype and media attention'." Ad was among the lucky few to see Lady Gaga play an after-hours set in Club Dada following her main appearance as her career was taking off in 2009."She did three or four hits and then disappeared," he recalls."Because the phone signal was so bad, you couldn't ring or text your mate to let them know. So only the people who happened to be there got to experience it, which was a few hundred."I'm surprised she hasn't come back. Yet."That was one of the more exclusive secret sets in Glastonbury history. Others draw huge crowds when the word gets out - which it usually was in the right place when she a rumour swept the site that Radiohead would play in 2011."We were over that side of the festival anyway, so on a wing and a prayer, just in case it was true, we dashed over to the Park Stage in good time, and we got pretty close to the stage," she says."There are reports that it was the biggest crowd on the Park Stage for a secret set ever. I'd waited my whole life to see Radiohead live, and then suddenly here we are, and they did this amazing set."As my first ever time seeing them, and being in prime position, and it being a genuine surprise - it was just pure glee. I was just so happy, and I couldn't believe it." Secret sets have been a feature of the festival for 1992, the line-up poster wasn't topped by a star name but the promise of "a special guest that we can't announce". That turned out to be Welsh pop stallion Tom Glastonbury's greatest ever secret set didn't happen at the festival at 1995, indie gods The Stone Roses pulled out of headlining after guitarist John Squire broke his by the time organiser Michael Eavis threw his annual low-key autumn gig in the local village to thank residents for putting up with the main event, Squire was back in the band played their first UK gig for five years in a marquee on a Somerset playing field to a couple of thousand lucky still haven't appeared at the festival itself, business? All the clues and theories about who Glastonbury's mystery Patchwork band is
Metro confirmed recently Patchwork – billed to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival – is not a 'geriatric' band from South London of the same name… You're welcome. So the question remains: who the hell is it? For the uninitiated, the Glastonbury 2025 line-up with all the stage times dropped yesterday, three weeks before the Worthy Farm opens its gates for another year for headline shows by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. Listed in the primetime slot of 6.15pm on Saturday June 28 on the coveted Pyramid Stage – between global superstar Raye and John Fogerty – is a mysterious band no one has ever heard of called Patchwork. This is Glastonbury organisers' idea of a funny tease, which will end up being a famous band or musician's surprise set. The same happened in 2023 when The Churn Ups turned out to be The Foo Fighters, who rocked out on the Pyramid Stage in what was an undisputed festival highlight. But Patchwork is not just a random word: it's a riddle. This is clear if The Churn Ups moniker was anything to go by; prior to Glastonbury 2023 fans linked it to the Foo Fighters, as lead singer Dave Grohl was in a band called Churn when he was a teenager. An X account also started dropping Foo Fighters references in the lead up to the festival. Now, an X account for Patchwork has also cropped up, so keep your eyes peeled for any hints in the coming weeks. But for now, fans have their own ideas about who Patchwork could be… Some fans think Harry Styles could be Patchwork, because, er, he wore a colourful patchwork cardigan once that everyone became obsessed with. The As It Was hitmaker, 31, sparked a TikTok trend of fans recreating his colourful jumper, which he wore in February 2020 while rehearsing. Tenuous, but possible… Just like the Foo Fighters teased they were behind The Churn Ups mystery in June 2023 on their socials, Candida Doyle from Pulp mysteriously talked about her love of patchwork in a recent interview with Jo Whiley, which seems kinda' random. 'I used to do patchwork when I was on tour and I made a really nice bit of patchwork, that's all I can think of right now,' she said… While it seems Pulp are rumoured most years for a Glastonbury surprise set, this year does seem feasible, as the Common People hitmakers have returned with their eighth studio album, More, scheduled to be released on June 6. Before Patchwork was mentioned, US sisters Haim were rumoured to be heading for a secret set at Glastonbury this year, after BBC Radio star Lauren Laverne hinted as much in her BBC Radio show. With their fourth album I Quit dropping in June after Women in Music Pt. II was released five years ago, it seems like a good time for Haim to descend on Worthy Farm. The band has a long history with the festival, having first played in 2013, before slots in 2014, 2017 and 2022. 'They've got summer shows coming up, one is Dreamland Summer Series in Margate on June 27,' Lauren noted on BBC6 Music, before adding: 'What else is happening that weekend? It's a long way to come to go to Margate, not that Margate isn't great…' Now the Patchwork clue is out, fans have pointed to a book of the same name by a writer called Sylvia Haim. However, it seems a little bit of a stretch as they might not be enough of a big deal to warrant the Patchwork tease. But that doesn't mean they won't fill one of the other secret set slots, simply billed at the moment as TBA. Just as with Haim, actor Timothee Chalamet was rumoured to be performing a secret set of Bob Dylan songs before the Patchwork tease. After he wowed critics with his performance as music icon Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown, it was reported he is 'likely' to make a surprise appearance. However, this was not thought to be a Pyramid Stage outing, but one for the Acoustic Stage on the Saturday night. The Sun claimed he will appear alongside Dylan tribute band Not Completely Unknown. While that all seems likely, now Patchwork is teased, fans can't help but think of the Blowin' In The Wind hitmaker's famous patchwork jacket, which featured on the cover of his 1976 album, Desire. To add fuel to rumours, the Dune actor bought this very same patchwork jacket in March for over £20,000… While Oasis have said they will not be performing at Glastonbury this year, it would be a very Oasis thing to turn up for a surprise set anyway, wouldn't it? More Trending 'Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year,' the brothers said in October. After Noel and Liam Gallagher's years-long feud ended in a massive Oasis tour announcement last year, it's clear stranger things have happened. Where does Patchwork come into this, you may ask…? The Glastonbury act no one has heard of
