Gervonta 'Tank' Davis' domestic violence charge dropped in South Florida
The online docket for Miami-Dade County 's clerk of court showed that the charge was dropped and the case closed.
Davis, 30, was picked up shortly after midnight on July 11 near the popular Lincoln Road area of Miami Beach.
Davis and his vehicle information had been added to a law enforcement database, and a license plate reader set up in Miami Beach flagged his car. Miami Beach police made the initial stop and then turned Davis over to Doral police. He was later released on a $10,000 bond.
The charge was connected to a report made in June by Davis' former domestic partner in Doral, a residential city in western Miami-Dade. According to a police report, the mother of his two children said Davis struck the back of her head and slapped her during an argument while she was taking one of their children out of his car.
Davis, who is from Baltimore, is in the regular conversation for best pound-for-pound boxer. The WBA lightweight champion won his first 30 bouts, 28 by knockout, with his devastating punching power drawing sellouts crowds from New York to Washington to Las Vegas.

'High risk' In mitigation, Shaun Routledge said Miller had developed a "problem" with alcohol and cocaine as a result of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) caused by his time in the Army, in particular during a period in which five comrades were killed in combat and some 30 others had to undergo amputations."We can only imagine how it affects those people who we send to fight on our behalf," Mr Routledge said, adding Miller was sacked from the military for using cocaine, which he did "because of some of the operational duties he undertook".Miller had been in prison since the incident in January and had been using his time inside to better himself and help others, the court Carolyn Scott said Miller had been assessed as posing a "high risk of serious harm" to others but the Probation Service could provide an "onerous package" to "rehabilitate" part of that he must complete a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and complete 150 hours' unpaid work.A restraining order banning him from contacting his victim for 10 years was also made. Fresh bodycam footage shows sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson branding her boyfriend Christian Coleman a 'coward' - and even accusing him of assaulting her - before she was arrested. Richardson, the reigning 100m world champion was detained last month for allegedly attacking her fellow sprinter at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The 25-year-old was arrested on a fourth-degree domestic violence offense and booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) in Des Moines, Washington, for more than 18 hours. Security footage showed Richardson slamming Coleman up against a support column, shoving him and bumping into him several times. An alternate angle appears to show her throwing something - possibly headphones - at Coleman's head. On Tuesday, Richardson apologized to her boyfriend over the incident but now police camera footage, obtained by Daily Mail Sport, details the sprinter's arrest. When cops tell Richardson that they are investigating a possible assault, the 25-year-old responds by berating Coleman. 'Oh Christian, I assaulted you? I assaulted you?' she says. After officers inform Richardson that it was a member of TSA staff, not Coleman, who reported the incident, she claims to have evidence that she is the victim. 'Oh okay... because I can definitely have evidence of him assaulting me,' Richardson says. She later adds: 'I'm in a domestic violent relationship... I can show you proof!' At another point in the video, while apparently on the phone, the sprinter continues: 'So this is the position that Christian Coleman puts me into. Because he's a coward and I don't want anything to do with him (from) this point going forward... I haven't put my hands on him, we had an argument.' Richardson informs cops that the argument was the result of Coleman being a liar. She later tells her boyfriend: 'You're a coward!' The 25-year-old insists neither she nor Coleman touched the other. 'I haven't hit him with anything, not at all. He had headphones that were mine and I just grabbed them - but not physically,' she tells cops, before appearing to say on the phone: 'If I ever talk to him again, you punch me in my face. I will never, ever talk to him again.' Richardson then turns to Coleman, adding: I will never deal with you again.' Later in the video, the American sprinter is told she is being detained. 'I'm under arrest right now? What for? Christian, are you serious right now?' she says. 'I'm not going to resist but I'm telling you that we were arguing. I didn't assault him, I didn't do anything wrong... Christian I'm going to go to jail because of you right now.' As she is led away by cops, Richardson asks: 'So I'm going to jail? Who's going to bail me out?' The sprinter also pleads with officers and asks to speak to her family. 'This is crazy!' she says. On Tuesday, however, Richardson took to social media to apologize to Coleman. She said she is 'taking this time to not only see myself but get myself a certain level of help that overall is going to reflect who I truly am in my heart and in my spirit and not allowing this moment, but accepting this moment to be more.' In a separate post to her story, Richardson added: 'I apologize to Christian. He came into my life & gave me more than a relationship but a greater understanding of unconditional love from what I've experienced in my past. 'Due to my past trauma & pain, I was blind & blocked off to not only receive it but give it. I love him & to him I can't apologize enough. My apologize [sic] should be just as loud as my actions honestly louder. To Christian I love you & I am so sorry.' Coleman broke his silence earlier this week and said he didn't press charges and didn't believe that Richardson should have been handcuffed. 'For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round,' he said, as per Citius Mag on X. 'I don't feel like she should have been arrested.' 'I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love,' he told reporters. 'It didn't affect me. She's a human being and a great person, and I feel like you know, we've been able to be really good team-mates all year. 'We're just two dominant personalities. To me, she's the best female athlete in the world.' Coleman continued: 'She's just had a lot of things going on, lot of emotions and forces going on inside of her that not only I can't understand, but nobody can. She's one-of-one. I know it's been a tough journey for her this year. 'But she's gonna bounce back because she's the best female athlete in the world. I see it every day. She's gonna be just fine. She gonna be good, and I'm gonna be good too.'

Reigning 100m world champion Sha'Carri Richardson has apologised to her boyfriend Christian Coleman following her recent domestic violence arrest at an airport. Richardson was arrested on 27 July on a fourth-degree domestic violence offence for allegedly assaulting Coleman at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and was booked into South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, for more than 18 hours. The sprinter was due to catch a flight to attend the US track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon, where she failed to qualify for the 200m at this September's World Athletics Championships by one-hundredth of a second. She has an automatic berth in the 100m as the defending world champion. On Monday night, the 25-year-old Richardson posted a video on her Instagram account in which she said she put herself in a 'compromised situation' and she issued a written apology to Coleman on Tuesday morning. 'I love him & to him I can't apologize enough,' wrote Richardson in all capital letters, adding that her apology 'should be just as loud' as her actions. 'To Christian I love you & I am so sorry,' she wrote. She added that Coleman "came into my life & gave me more than a relationship but a greater understanding of unconditional love from what I've experienced in my past." In the video, Richardson said she's practising 'self-reflection' and refuses 'to run away but face everything that comes to me head on.' According to the police report, an officer at the airport was notified by a Transportation Security Administration supervisor of a disturbance between Richardson and Coleman, who won the 100m world title back in 2019. The officer reviewed camera footage and observed Richardson reach out with her left arm, grab Coleman's backpack and yank it away. Richardson then appeared to get in Coleman's way with Coleman trying to step around her. Coleman was shoved into a wall. Later in the report, it said Richardson appeared to throw an item at Coleman, with the TSA indicating it may have been headphones. The officer said in the report: 'I was told Coleman did not want to participate any further in the investigation and declined to be a victim.' Richardson won the 100m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest and claimed a silver medal at the Paris Olympics last summer. She also helped the US 4x100m relay to an Olympic gold. She didn't compete during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 following a positive marijuana test at the US Olympic trials.
