BTK (Blood Thirsty Kings) is entering the Honor of Kings competitive scene after years of making waves in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
BTK, the top MLBB team in North America, officially joined HOK with its core led by captain Michael 'MobaZane' Cosgun together with Ian 'FwydChickn' Hohl, Jang 'Hoon' Seong-hun, Ziameth-Jei 'ZIA' Caluya, Vo 'Shark' Trung, and Carlos 'Bestplayer1' Ortega Vega.
BTK became the latest talent to transfer to HOK from MLBB following the trio of Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera, Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse, and John Paul "H2WO" Salonga.
?BTK first made an impression during the M3 World Championship in 2021, sending Philippine powerhouse Blacklist International to the lower bracket during their playoff clash, but bowed to the same team in the LB finals.
"Honor of Kings is a very unique game with countless talented players and a very refreshing gameplay experience," MobaZane said.
"My team and I are learning fast. We will do our best and rally our communities to quickly catch up with the global regions."

After Eala won the first round, the world no. 65 Vondrousova made sure to bounce back in dominant fashion to complete her comeback in a match which lasted for two hours and six minutes. Vondrousova also edged Eala in aces, 7-0, and led in terms of service points won (62% against 54%) and return serve points won (46% against 38%). I expected a tough match and it was a tough one so I'm happy to be through," Eala said in a post-game interview. With the win, Vondrousova, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, will face Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk in the second round. Onic PH ousts Area77 to keep MSC title dream alive

Onic Philippines bounced back with a vengeance, thrashing North America's Area77 with a 2-0 victory in their do-or-die group stage clash at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup 2025 late Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A day after falling prey to Aurora Gaming of Turkey, the Philippine bets regrouped and vented their ire to eliminate an all-Filipino Area77 and advance to the lower bracket semifinals of Group B. The win gave Onic Philippines another chance at advancing to the playoffs, but it will have to face Malaysia's HomeBois first in another must-win situation later tonight. "Para sa akin, hindi kami na-shock [sa talo namin sa Aurora] kasi alam naman naming nagpur-prepare din 'yung Aurora para sa amin," Onic's mid laner Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez said in the post-game press conference. Onic head coach Tony "Ynot" Senedrin added: "It's just the same, we just used our one life, I guess. So it was really up to us to look at the loss objectively, make sure that we do know the opportunities we have." Onic needed just 14 minutes and 12 seconds to secure Game 1 against Area77 with Super Frince making a surprise Kagura pick, delivering a spotless KDA of four kills and three assists. The game then snowballed in Game 2 when Onic's jungler Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez delivered three early kills against his counterpart Lance "Shiro" Nones (Suyou), who sustained four deaths in the first four minutes. Area77 could not recover from that early collapse as the reigning world champions maintained map control the rest of the match with K1NGKONG dictating the tempo and the rest of Onic executing near-flawless plays. A lopsided 23-4 kill spread saw K1NGKONG unleash 14 kills and six assists against just one death as Onic lived to fight another day. —JKC, GMA Integrated News

PH Pavilion at Expo 2025 on track to hit 600,000 visitors

OSAKA, Japan — The Philippine Pavilion at the ongoing Expo 2025 is on track to hit 600,000 visitors soon, organizers said. 'Inaasahan natin na sa mga tatlong buwan pang darating mas marami pang bibisita kasi by word of mouth yung mga nakaranas nitong Philippine Pavilion magku-kwento whether dayuhan sila o mga Filipino nagkuwento yan kung gaano kaganda yung ating pinapamahagi na karanasan doon sa ating pavilion,' Consul General Voltaire Mauricio of the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka said in an interview with GMA Integrated News. (We expect that in the next three months, more people will visit because by word of mouth, those who have experienced the Philippine Pavilion will tell stories, whether they are foreigners or Filipinos, about how wonderful the experience at our pavilion is). It is hard to miss the Philippine Pavilion wrapped in a facade made of rattan handcrafted by Filipino artisans. On its side, you can see the vibrant textiles from various regions of the archipelago, another way to showcase the country's rich weaving heritage and indigenous artistry. Despite the sweltering summer here in Japan, people line up every day to gain access to the pavilion and experience the best of the Philippines. Inside the pavilion, one will have a glimpse of all regions through a handwoven map and a monitor showcasing the highlights and treasures of every destination. In its center is a giant motion-reactive screen where visitors can dance and watch their movements create artistic visuals simultaneously. Next to the interactive screen, visitors need to line up again for the in-demand AI photo booths and pose beside digital representations of tropical fish, fruits, flowers, leaves, and corals. Photo: Ian Cruz/GMA Integrated News A section of the pavilion offers Hilot, the traditional Filipino massage now gaining popularity among foreign visitors as they leave refreshed after going through the healing touch of Filipino wellness practitioners. Before exiting the pavilion are the souvenir shops with distinct Filipino products such as unique delicacies and crafts. Photo: Ian Cruz/GMA Integrated News The pavilion's Hain restaurant also draws long queues because of the sumptuous Lumpiang Binondo, Lechon Bisaya, and other entrees and snacks. For dessert, halo-halo is one of the main attractions. 'By them being invited and experiencing our small communities, our places of destination, we're not only imparting something that's worthless but something that's priceless; these are the personal relationships being created, crafted, and developed when they visit our communities,' Mauricio said. Expo 2025 began on April 13 and will run until October 13. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
