According to reports, the Old Firm rivals are looking to plunder the loan market for two up and coming young talents who made their major breakthrough in the English top flight last season. The 19-year-old centre-back stepped into the City defence last season due to injury problems, making six first-team appearances including two in the Champions League - and earned praise from head coach Pep Guardiola. The England youth international was also named EPL 2 Player of the Year after captaining the Man City reserves to the title. It's not easy for him. 'Normally the young lads, they must come in with support from the team, with Rodri in front of them, right? With the best Kyle [Walker], and defenders, and now we support him. 'Now he's playing in a position that is difficult for him, but he performed unbelievably. We have a central defender to help us for the future, for the next years. I'm really pleased. Always there is good news when the situation goes bad, and this is one of them.' He made 19 appearances for Spurs last term - including 10 games in the EPL - and was an unused substitute as Ange Postecoglou's side beat Man Utd 1-0 in the Europa League final. There has been plenty interest in the England Under-19 international - with Championship sides Birmingham and West Brom also linked - but the Daily Telegraph state that Rangers have 'emerged as favourites' to sign Moore on loan. Celtic transfer bid 'laughingly rejected' as Kyogo suffers teething problems
The Hoops have been frustrated in their attempts to get more signings over the line Celtic have had THREE offers turfed out for winger Jakob Breum as Go Ahead Eagles stand firm. Danish star Breum, 21, has emerged as the Hoops' latest signing target as Brendan Rodgers seeks more firepower. Breum is one of the most exciting talents in the Eredivisie and lit up the Dutch top-flight with 11 goals and provided five assists. That's caught the attention of Parkhead scouts, and the Scottish champions kicked off negotiations earlier this month. Go Ahead have slapped a £6m price tag on the wide man's head and are in no rush to sell, with the player still under contract for another two years. Meanwhile ex- Celtic hero Kyogo is still finding his feet at Birmingham City following his quick-fire £10million exit from Rennes. The Japanese striker linked up with former teammate and compatriot Tomoki Iwata at St Andrew's in a bumper summer switch. Kyogo was given another runout in the penultimate pre-season friendly at Port Vale as the Blues coasted to a 2-0 victory. But the 30-year-old endured a frustrating 65 minutes as he struggled to test home goalkeeper Marko Marosi - despite making "some decisive movements". Reflecting on Kyogo's afternoon, Birmingham Live reporter Alex Dicken wrote that Birmingham's players "aren't quite on the same wavelength as Kyogo just yet." He added: "The question is are they just not finding him, or is he not making the right runs. That is an issue [Chris] Davies will hope to iron out over the next two weeks." Meanwhile Nicolas Kuhn lifted his first piece of silverware in Italy as his new side were crowned Como Cup winners. The £17m attacker made a second-half cameo as Como 1907 secured the first-ever Como Cup title with a 3–0 victory over Ajax.

Rodgers 'won't let up' in pursuit of players, says Sheridan
Former Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan says Brendan Rodgers "won't let up" in his pursuit of new signings. So far this window Celtic have brought Kieran Tierney back to the club following the expiration of his Arsenal contract while goalkeeper Ross Doohan and forward Callum Osmand have also signed on free deals. Hayato Inamura, Shin Yamada and Benjamin Nygren take the number of new signings up to six so far. However, Rodgers' side already lost Kyogo Furuhashi in the January window and winger Nicolas Kuhn followed suit this summer, departing for Serie A side Sheridan thinks Rodgers will still feel there's more work to be done to his team. "I think last season probably proved Rodgers' case where if you do back him, he is showing an improvement in Europe," he told the BBC's Scottish Football Podcast. "Take away the Borussia Dortmund game, they were a lot more competitive in the European games. I think everyone could see there was a real improvement. "I don't think Brendan Rogers is the type to just be happy with that. He'll want to make an improvement and keep building and keep improving. "I think he's shown he's not afraid to have a of a slight pop at the board in terms of the players they're bringing or how much they're backing him. I don't think he'll back down on that either. "He's got his own standards and his own expectations on what he wants to do with the club, especially in Europe. So I can't see him letting up in terms of his demand for getting the supply of players that he needs."
