Telangana ministers pay homage to Jaipal Reddy on death anniversary
Venkat Reddy and several other leaders paid rich tributes to Jaipal Reddy at his memorial on the banks of Hussain Sagar lake here on the sixth death anniversary of the departed leader.
Describing Jaipal Reddy as 'Ajatashatru' (a person who has no enemy), Venkat Reddy recalled that the former union minister had sanctioned Rs 10,000 crore for various development works in the state and Rs 400 crore to Nalgonda district.
He demanded that Bharat Ratna be conferred on Jaipal Reddy.

As per a report by IANS news agency, the AMCA clearance marks a critical step towards realising India's goal of joining an elite club of nations in designing and producing its own fleet of next-generation combat aircraft. The IANS report also says that the project will be helmed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), said the Defence Ministry in a press release. The AMCA, widely seen as India's answer to fifth-generation air power, will give a major boost to achieving 'atmanirbharata' in the defence sector and will become a hallmark of India's growing defence capabilities. HM Amit Shah confirms killing of Pahalgam attackers in 'Operation Mahadev'
NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on July 29 told Parliament that three Pakistani LeT terrorists behind the April 22 Pahalgam attack were killed in Operation Mahadev near Srinagar. Addressing the Lok Sabha during a special discussion on Operation Sindoor, Shah said the slain terrorists, Suleiman, Afghan, and Jibran, were top LeT operatives responsible for killing 26 tourists in Baisaran Valley. 'All three were eliminated after a two-month-long intelligence operation involving the Army, CRPF, and J&K Police. Their masters were earlier neutralised in Operation Sindoor,' Shah said. He revealed that Operation Mahadev began on May 22 when the Intelligence Bureau intercepted signals from an encrypted communication system used by the terrorists. After weeks of surveillance and coordination among security forces, their location was confirmed on July 22. 'We sent human assets who had seen their faces. They identified their bodies after the encounter,' he said. Shah said an M9 carbine and two AK-47s recovered from the terrorists were the same weapons used in the April 22 killings, confirmed by forensic tests in Chandigarh. 'This is a clear message: India will bring justice to every victim of terrorism,' he asserted. Shah said two Pakistani voter IDs and Pakistani-made chocolate packets were found on the terrorists, and their weapons came from a 'western neighbour.' He added that the NIA questioned 1,055 people over 3,000 hours, all documented.

PM Modi further said that after India's action on May 10, Pakistan begged for a ceasefire. 'Pakistan said, 'Bahut maara, ab jyada maar jhelne ki takat nahi hai." They asked us to stop the war," said the PM. He further said that after the attack, the armed forces were given free hand to take action against the terrorists. 'Armed Forces were given a free hand. They were told to decide the when, where and how…We are proud that terrorists were punished, and it was such a punishment that the terrorist masterminds have sleepless nights even to this day." The Pakistani Prime Minister had brazenly admitted that he was swimming while India launched precision strikes on his country under 'Operation Sindoor'. During his address to an event held at the Pakistan Monument in May, he had also admitted that India's ballistic missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase and other sites on May 10, in a rare gesture that contradicted Pakistan's usual denial when it comes to Indian military action. 'At around 2:30 am on May 10, General Syed Asim Munir called me on a secure line and informed me that India's ballistic missiles had hit Nur Khan Airbase and other areas. Our Air Force used homegrown technology to save our country, and they even used modern gadgets and technology on Chinese jets," he said. 'After Fajr (Namaz), I went for a swim, carrying my secure phone with me. The phone rang for the second time—it was General Asim Munir on the line.
