EXO's DO sets date for first solo concert tour stop in Malaysia this August
PETALING JAYA, June 7 — K-pop fans in Malaysia have a date to mark: Doh Kyung Soo, the acclaimed main vocalist of EXO, will return to Kuala Lumpur this August with his first-ever solo concert tour, 2025 Doh Kyung Soo Asia Concert Tour . The show is scheduled for 30 August at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
This marks DO's first full-scale solo concert in Malaysia, following the overwhelming response to his 2024 fan concert, which sold out and left fans hoping for more. The new tour is positioned as a key step in the artist's solo journey, promising a deeper musical experience that reflects his growth and individuality beyond group activities.
Known for his rich vocals and understated charisma, DO is expected to deliver a carefully curated setlist and performance style that leans into his emotional depth and storytelling. Organisers have made it clear that this is a concert focused squarely on the music — there will be no soundcheck or send-off events, in contrast to typical fan engagements.

Tickets will go on sale June 9 at 12pm via BookMyShow, with prices ranging from RM488 to RM988. Purchasers in the top two tiers (Cat 1 and Cat 2) will receive a limited-edition tour pouch, while all attendees will get a set of exclusive photo cards. A total of 600 fans will also be selected through a lucky draw to receive a premium pass and lanyard, which includes access to a customised photo booth experience on-site.
With a fanbase that's followed him from idol to actor to soloist, DO's upcoming stop in Malaysia is shaping up to be one of the tour's most anticipated nights.

In a Facebook post, Fahmi said he was stopped at KLIA2 today while attempting to board a flight to Singapore to attend a punk rock concert. 'I have been blacklisted and barred from travelling overseas,' he said in a Facebook post. He claimed that an immigration officer told him that Bukit Aman federal police headquarters said Fahmi did not have clearance to travel abroad. Fahmi said the immigration officer then escorted him out of the international departure area. The artist, known for his political illustrations, criticised the lack of explanation from the authorities about his travel ban. Fahmi, known for his satirical artworks and vocal criticism of political figures, was denied entry into Sabah on May 29. A notice issued by the Sabah immigration department at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport cited Section 65(1)(a) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 as the legal basis for the refusal. Fahmi said he was immediately flown back to Kuala Lumpur after that. Earlier this year, Fahmi was arrested by Sabah police to assist in an investigation into one of his satirical works. He was investigated under the Sedition Act for allegedly insulting the royal institution.

Fahmi Reza says stopped at KLIA2, denied exit from Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — Graphic artist and political activist Fahmi Reza said he was stopped from boarding a flight to Singapore today after being informed he was blacklisted from travelling overseas — the second such travel restriction imposed on him in just over two weeks. In a statement posted on his social media, Fahmi recounted arriving at KLIA2 at around 7.30am to catch a 9.35am flight for a short two-day trip to attend a concert featuring South Korean band Slant and Singaporean act Sial. But at the international departure counter, immigration officers told him he had been flagged and needed to wait at their office. 'I was asked to wait while they checked with TCO (Travel Control Office/Order). Then they took my passport and IC for photocopying. They also wanted printed copies of my boarding pass and e-ticket, even though I had them on my phone,' he wrote, adding that with only 10 minutes left before boarding, an airport staff member helped him get the documents printed at Sama-Sama Express Hotel. When he returned to immigration with the documents, Fahmi said an officer told him, 'Bukit Aman has not given clearance for you to leave the country.' He said no explanation was provided and he was escorted out of the departure area. Fahmi is well known for his satirical illustrations that often critique political leaders and institutions. He believes the ban is linked to his artwork criticising the recent appointment of former Sabah chief minister Tun Musa Aman as the state's new Yang di-Pertua Negeri. Just weeks earlier, on May 29, the Sabah immigration department had denied Fahmi entry into the state under Section 65(1)(a) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. He said he was flown back to Kuala Lumpur the same day without further explanation. That incident followed his earlier arrest by Sabah police in February this year over another satirical post. Authorities had opened investigations under the Sedition Act for allegedly insulting the royal institution. 'Last week I was blacklisted from entering Sabah. This week, I'm blacklisted from leaving the country,' he wrote. 'My only 'offence' was creating critical artwork.'
