Model Sexually Harassed In Broad Daylight At Gurugram's Rajiv Chowk, Incident Caught On Camera
A disturbing incident of public harassment has emerged from Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram, where a model was allegedly harassed by a man in broad daylight while she was waiting for a cab. The victim shared the ordeal through a video.
In the video, she alleged that she had returned from Jaipur and was dropped at Rajiv Chowk around 11 AM. While waiting for her cab, a man began staring at her continuously and then went on to unzip his pants and started masturbating . The model managed to record the entire incident on her phone.
She then tried to reach the police control room or women's helpline; however, she couldn't. She then looked or the nearest police station's contact number on Google and reported the incident.
However, she was asked to visit the police station in person in order to file a written complaint.

New York, Aug 10 (AP) Hundreds turned out to honour the life of Aland Etienne, the security guard who was killed last month at a Manhattan office tower by a gunman targeting the headquarters of the National Football League. An immigrant from Haiti who came to the US in 2017 with a dream for a new life, Etienne was remembered as a dedicated father and grandfather who was faithfully working at his security post when the gunman suddenly opened fire on July 28. A New York City police officer, an investment firm executive and a real estate firm worker were also killed. The gunman wounded a fifth person before taking his own life. Like Etienne, slain NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, who was working a department-approved private security detail that day, was an immigrant. Islam was Bangladeshi-American. Manny Pastreich, president of Etienne's union, 32BJ SEIU, said Etienne represents not only essential workers who are the backbone of New York City, but also immigrants who come to the US to build a better life and contribute in both large and small ways. 'His legacy will serve as a reminder of the contributions of immigrants, and the sacrifices, they make every day," Pastreich said in a statement. Security officers from buildings across New York held a vigil last week to honor Etienne. Woman dies, son yet to be traced as family gets swept in flooded Ganga in UP
Shahjahanpur (UP), Aug 10 (PTI) A 35-year-old woman died after being swept away in the strong current of the Ganga River in Shahjahanpur district on Sunday, police said. Roli, her husband, and her four-year-old son were returning home on a motorcycle after celebrating Raksha Bandhan when they were swept in a flooded Ganga. Divers were able to rescue the husband, Paan Singh, but Roli died, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Diksha Bhaware told PTI. 'Her four-year-old son Kaju is yet to be traced. Our divers are making continuous efforts," she said. Odisha: BJD calls 12-hr hartal at Raighar over death of nursing student
Bhubaneswar, Aug 10 (PTI) The BJD called a 12-hour bandh on Monday at Raighar block in Odisha's Nabarangpur district over the death of a nursing student following an alleged harassment. The opposition party, in a statement issued on Sunday, said that the 'hartal' (the general strike) will be observed from 6 am to 6 pm on August 11 at Raighar block to protest against the death of the second-year nursing student. Essential services would be exempted from the purview of the strike. The party demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore for her family. The BSc nursing student consumed pesticides on July 17 after allegedly being harassed by a youth, identified as Satyajit Sarkar. The woman was allegedly assaulted by Sarkar on July 13, for which a case was registered at Jeypore Police Station in Koraput district, said Nabarangpur's former MP Pradeep Majhi. He also alleged that the police did not take action against the accused. However, the police said Satyajit and a person have been arrested in the case.
