Blake Snell has not pitched since April 2, 2025. The Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander is recovering from a shoulder injury. But even after two months off the mound, an MLB analyst believes Snell could still shine in October.
The Dodgers are hopeful for his return. And now, the debate has begun: can Blake Snell outperform Max Fried in the postseason?
MLB insider backs Blake Snell to shine over Max Fried
On Saturday, June 1, 2025, Doug McKain, a well-known MLB analyst and host for Dodgers Nation, shared a bold opinion. He said Blake Snell could be a key player in the playoffs, if healthy. McKain posted his view on
X (formerly Twitter), where he stated that Snell, on his best day, can outpitch Max Fried.
Max Fried, now playing for the New York Yankees, is enjoying a spectacular year. Thus yet, the winner of the 2021 World Series has a 7-1 record. With 70 strikeouts in 12 appearances, a 0.97 WHIP, and an ERA of barely 1.92. His sole loss came against the Dodgers on May 30, 2025, at Dodger Stadium.
Meanwhile, Blake Snell only made two starts this season. His second game on April 2, 2025 was the Atlanta Braves. After the match, he reported shoulder stiffness and has not returned since.
The Dodgers later placed him on the injured list. Despite that, McKain believes the two-time Cy Young Award winner can deliver in October if he fully recovers.

Blake Snell is no stranger to high-pressure games. He has already proven himself in past playoff seasons. He assisted the Tampa Bay Rays in winning the 2020 World Series. He claimed the Cy Young Award with the San Diego Padres in 2023. Confident of his ability and experience, the Dodgers signed him over the offseason.
Though his health is still a concern, fans and experts remain hopeful. In an earlier interview shared by MLB.com, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, 'We signed Blake for moments like these. When he's healthy, he can be one of the best.'
Max Fried will pitch next on June 5, 2025, against the Cleveland Guardians at Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile, Dodgers fans are waiting for news on Snell's recovery. If he returns in time, the October spotlight could be on him once again.

Stefon Diggs makes unexpected decision after Patriots consider cutting him over viral boat video

Stefon Diggs makes unexpected decision after Patriots consider cutting him over viral boat video (Image source: Getty Images) New England Patriots fans were left surprised this week after wide receiver Stefon Diggs showed up at team practice. This comes just days after a video of Diggs partying on a boat spread across the internet. Many people questioned his commitment. Some reports even suggested the Patriots were unsure about keeping him. Stefon Diggs faces backlash after skipping OTAs for boat party The Patriots conducted an offseason team exercise (OTA) at their Foxborough, Massachusetts, training facility on Monday, May 27. Stefon Diggs, newly signed with the team during the offseason, attended the meeting. Diggs started practice for the first time after a video of him appeared online. In the video, posted last week, Diggs was seen dancing on a boat. He appeared to be with a group of people and was holding what some online users believed to be a suspicious item. The video quickly went viral. Many fans were upset because Diggs had not attended earlier OTAs with the Patriots. While these activities are not mandatory, many expect new players especially big signings to show up and build chemistry. Some sources, including The Sporting News and NBC Sports Boston, said the Patriots even discussed possibly cutting him. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels spoke to the media after practice. He said Diggs is staying on track with the team's plan. 'I know he's staying up on the information and material,' McDaniels told reporters during the press session, as reported by 'He's learning the playbook and working to be ready.' The Patriots signed Diggs to boost their offense. Last season, no wide receiver on the team had more than 700 receiving yards. The Patriots also drafted rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who needs strong receivers around him. Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowl player, was expected to play a key role. However, the 31-year-old is also coming off a torn ACL. Coaches and fans alike want to see him fully focused. The viral video sparked concern, but his appearance at the most recent OTA may help repair his image. For now, the team is watching closely to see how committed Diggs really is.

Elijah Moore praises Buffalo's support and Josh Allen's leadership amid Bills' receiver overhaul

Moore grateful for Buffalo's warm welcome (Image via: Getty Images) The Buffalo Bills are once again shaking up their wide receiver lineup, leaving fans wondering how Josh Allen will adapt without his top targets. Amid these changes, new arrival Elijah Moore is already praising the team's passionate fanbase and supportive environment. With proven stars gone, Buffalo is putting its faith in fresh talent and a new chapter. Elijah Moore 's fresh start in a changing Buffalo receiving lineup For the second consecutive offseason, the Bills have made major moves in their wide receiver room. After trading Stefon Diggs and letting Gabe Davis walk in 2024, Buffalo watched Mack Hollins sign with the Patriots this year. Meanwhile, Amari Cooper's future with the team remains uncertain. These departures have left a void for Josh Allen, who led the league with MVP-level play last season despite losing his top two weapons. Into this gap steps Elijah Moore, a reliable target in Cleveland with over 60 catches each of the past two seasons. Moore is optimistic about his new opportunity, sharing on social media, 'Buffalo already has been nothing but great to me already. This place really takes care of they people.' His excitement reflects a player ready to embrace the challenge of stepping up in a high-powered offense undergoing transition. While Moore acknowledged the challenge of adjusting to a new team, he's encouraged by Allen's focus and precision. With Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer expected to start as boundary receivers, Moore could quickly emerge as a key weapon in Buffalo's revamped offense. The Bills' gamble on youth and new faces is bold, especially in a competitive AFC where reliable targets are crucial. But if Moore and the other newcomers can gel quickly with Allen, Buffalo's offense may remain explosive despite the roster turnover. ‘Gotta stay focused': Stefon Diggs speaks out after controversial boat video surfaces

Diggs responds with a cryptic "focused" post after yacht video backlash (Image via: Getty Images) Stefon Diggs is no stranger to the spotlight, but his latest appearance is stirring more controversy than celebration. A viral video of the Patriots wide receiver partying on a yacht with bikini-clad women and what appeared to be a suspicious pink substance — has fans and critics talking. Now, Diggs has broken his silence with a cryptic, 'focused' social media post. Stefon Diggs reacts to video with cryptic caption The NFL offseason is known for drama, but few expected Stefon Diggs to be at the center of it this early. The 31-year-old star found himself trending for all the wrong reasons after footage emerged showing him celebrating Memorial Day weekend on a yacht. While the setting was typical celebrity fare — luxury, music, and models, the moment that grabbed attention involved Diggs handing a small pink-filled baggie to a woman. Speculation spread like wildfire. Social media lit up with accusations, think pieces, and demands for an explanation. And while the New England Patriots kept their response measured, head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the situation at a press conference, making it clear the team had spoken to Diggs privately. Then came Diggs' Instagram post. On June 1, the receiver shared a carousel of photos, including a courtside appearance at a Knicks game with rumored girlfriend Cardi B. The caption read: 'To the month of May, I appreciate you none the less… gotta stay focused 🤞🏾.' If it was meant to silence critics, it only stirred more debate. In the comments, Diggs wrote 'summers mine' and 'Harlem shaking through the pressure…' — phrases that seemed to acknowledge the backlash while brushing it off with swagger. The question now isn't just about the video, it's about optics, accountability, and timing. As a new face on a disciplined Patriots squad, Diggs is expected to lead on and off the field. While he hasn't admitted wrongdoing, his deflective tone has done little to ease concerns.
