Kim Kardashian furiously blasts Met Gala security guard after awkward stumble
Kim Kardashian was left fuming after she stumbled on the Met Gala red carpet, with the star turning to reprimand a security guard as she was helped to her feet.
Kim Kardashian created quite the buzz at this year's Met Gala, but it was her experience on the red carpet that really turned heads rather than her outfit. The event celebrated "black dandyism," prompting guests to sport custom-tailored ensembles.
The 44 year old TV star and entrepreneur was caught on camera chastising a member of her security team in an awkward moment after she nearly toppled over while strutting for the cameras.
Kim graced New York's most extravagant fashion night with daughter North West by her side, surrounded by speculation that her ex-husband Kanye West might disrupt the gala following a troubling spoof he shared online.
Footage of Kim's near-fall swiftly circulated on TikTok, showing her stumble and immediately turn with visible annoyance towards a security guard.
She seemed to scold him and gestured sharply with her hand, displaying a brief surge of irritation toward the event personnel, reports the Mirror.
Later, as she clambered into a pick-up truck to ascend the Metropolitan Museum of Art's steps, she was noticed giving the guard a stern look.
For the gala, Kim chose a form-fitting dress complemented by a customised Chrome Hearts fedora made of leather.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic zoot suits donned by black men in the 1930s, Kim's ensemble had a subtle gangster flair.
Completing her dark attire, she sparkled with a dramatic diamond necklace and coordinating earrings.
Before hitting the red carpet, North West was pictured getting ready with her mum, Kim Kardashian, gearing up for an evening filled with high fashion.
North was dressed in a matching cowhide jacket and shorts set, complemented by black Nike high crew socks and pricey $1,200 black leather Rick Owens trainers.
While North is embraced at the glitzy event, her father Kanye West is said to be permanently barred from attending the annual gala.
To prevent any unexpected appearances by Kanye, security measures have been intensified following his social media post of a video titled "MET BALL 2025", which shows him seemingly donning a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
The Met Gala, known as fashion's biggest night, is held on the first Monday in May and celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute's spring exhibition at the New York museum.
This year's theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, casts an eye back over 300 years of Black fashion, the concept of black dandyism and its lasting impact on contemporary style.

One of the most anticipated arrivals of the night was US actress Zendaya, who arrived on the green carpet in an impeccably tailored custom Louis Vuitton suit and matching hat.
Turning to Chanel, singer Dua Lipa wowed crowds in a glitzy custom open-back chiffon dress adorned with a long bow as she arrived on the navy carpet alongside fiance Callum Turner.
Jodie Turner-Smith's showstopping Burberry ensemble was elevated by a bold, statement-making hat that completed the look.
Among the other UK stars in attendance were model Suki Waterhouse, musician FKA Twigs and Bafta-winning actress Aimee Lou Wood, who wore a look by London designer Priya Ahluwalia.
Singer Charli XCX dressed black from head to toe, channelling a gothic look by Ann Demeulemeester, designed by Stefano Gallici on the Met Gala steps.

Love Island fans fume 'sick of it' after 'painful' scene that airs every year
Love Island 2025 viewers were quick to call out the contestants on this year's series as it kicked off on ITV2 on Monday night, with some fans calling for a change Not every Love Island fan was thrilled to witness the launch show on Monday night, as one moment got a bad reaction. It's something that happens pretty much every series, and fans raced to X on Monday to share they were "sick of it". Commenting on certain scenes being "painful" and "unnecessary" , some even called on bosses to ban it. The issue they had was the screaming from the girls as they entered the villa. As each female Islander met their new pals, ahead of host Maya Jama 's arrival, a chorus of screams were heard. It got louder and louder and for some fans, they simply could not handle it. Taking to X, fans begged the show to stop the Islanders screeching each year, as many reached for the remote to quieten the volume. One fan posted: "8 minutes in and I'm already sick of the screaming." Another agreed: "God girls stop screaming!!!!" as a third added: "All this screaming on entering the villa is so unnecessary, your not 10." A fourth fan posted: "I can't bare the screaming," as another said: "The start of the season is always PAINFUL bc of all the damn screaming." The comments kept on coming too with one reading: "Never been so grateful for the mute button petition to ban screaming next year." Another said: "I just can't with the screaming!!!" while a third added: "Why are they screaming so much omg." That wasn't the only complaint of launch night, with some fans getting fed up with the same joke being repeated about one star's name. After Shakira entered the villa and introduced herself to some of the Islanders, many of them kept commenting on her famous namesake, singer Shakira. So every time she said her name, at least one Islander asked her if her hips lied, referring to the hit track Hips Don't Lie. One unamused fan said: "I bet she's sick to f**k off hearing 'Hips Don't Lie' cause I know I am." Another commented: "I'm already sick of this hips don't lie thing," as another added: "Take a shot every time Shakira says 'these hips don't lie'." Shakira saw the funny side though, clearly having heard it before. Another fan commented though: "She's had to hear that every time she meets anyone." Love Island 2025 airs every night at 9PM on ITV2 and ITVX. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.

I took a risk and ordered a storage shed on Shein, it was £600 less than others but there is one major flaw
Read on for UK regulations on sheds SHED YOU? I took a risk and ordered a storage shed on Shein, it was £600 less than others but there is one major flaw MOST of us have ordered clothes and accessories from Shein before. But many will be shocked to know that you can buy large furniture, including beds and even sheds. Advertisement 2 Angelica found a storage shed on Shein for a budget-friendly price Credit: tiktok/@angelica_torresramos 2 Can you spot the flaw? Credit: tiktok/@angelica_torresramos A woman called Angelica took to social media and showed off the massive shed she had bought from the online retailer. The 12x10ft metal storage shed looked perfect in the pictures, so she decided to take the risk and get it shipped to her house. It cost her just £471, and she revealed it was a lot less than other sheds she had looked at. In the clip, Angelica said: "We bought a storage house from Shein and this is what we got." Advertisement The giant container came to her in three boxes and she admitted some were damaged. "It came with a little surprise," she added as she moved one of the boxes to unveil a huge spider. Ignoring the critter, she went on to unpack the rest of the boxes and was pleasantly surprised to see nothing was missing. Angelica then went on to build the shed and was pleased to see it all come together. Advertisement "Base ready. Walls ready. Roof ready. Doors ready," she added. "I actually liked it." I'm a single mum sick of soft play costs so turned my shed into a mini one The shed was so roomy many suggested it could be used as a studio house. But others noticed there was a major flaw with the building. Advertisement The clip went viral with over 8 million views on her TikTok account @angelica_torresramos, and many realised the shed came without any type of flooring. One person wrote: "What about the floor? Everything is going to get wet when it rains." Do I need planning permission to convert my shed? CONVERTING an existing shed or outbuilding into a self-contained living space will usually require you apply for planning permission. However, there is a "loophole" Brits can use to convert outbuildings into a tiny home without permission. Planning expert Martin Gaine from Just Planning warned the conversion process is far easier than you may think. Speaking to The Sun, the Chartered Town Planner of 14 years' experience explained: "An outbuilding can be built using 'permitted development rights', meaning it does not need planning permission. "As long as you comply with the various restrictions and conditions." One of these is that the outbuilding can only be used for something 'ancillary' to your main living accommodation - examples include storage, a gym or a pool room. If the outbuilding is existing, converting it then into primary living accommodation IS allowed. Martin explained: "This is because internal changes to an existing building are not considered to be development at all under the Town and Country Planning Act. But like anything, there is one catch. The new living accommodation must still have some connection with your use of the main house. For instance, if your gran is living out there, she must still come into the house to eat. Another commented: 'No floor?" "Ooooh that's a studio apartment," penned a third. Advertisement Meanwhile a fourth said: "THIS IS A WHOLE HOUSE NOT A STORAGE SHED." "It looks good!' claimed a fifth. Someone else added: 'Looks cute, but it looks like it'll break down with wind lol."
