‘Bizarre': Human rights activists' hypocrisy in attending pro-Islamic Republic protests

Sky News AU24-06-2025
Attorney and Speaker Elica Le Bon highlights the hypocrisy of activists amid the Israel-Iran war, claiming their views are not consistent with the Iranian diaspora.
'The same survey shows that 99 per cent of Iranians in the diaspora are opposed to the Islamic Republic,' Ms Le Bon told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
'If you look at these protests that are in New York, that are in Germany, where they are holding up this bloody flag of the Islamic Republic and wearing their keffiyehs, not a single person in that crowd … is Iranian.
'It's so, so bizarre that not a single human rights activist … is at the protest where we're saying hands off the Iranian people, they're all at the protest that says hands off the Islamic Republic.'

Nobody should ‘underestimate' Melania's influence on Trump's decision-making

Former White House Press secretary Sean Spicer discusses the 'power' the First Lady has on President Trump's thinking. This comes as US President Donald Trump hand-delivered to Russian leader Vladimir Putin a private letter from his wife, Melania Trump, about the plight of children in Ukraine and Russia during their peace summit in Alaska. 'No-one should underestimate the power that she has on his decision-making,' Mr Spicer told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. 'President Trump's display of that letter should speak volumes to what he was trying to convey to Vladimir Putin.'

‘Just amazing': Oval Office photo reveals ‘weakness' of European leaders

Sky News host Andrew Bolt reacts to an 'amazing' photo of several world leaders in the White House which shows the 'weakness' of Europe. A trilateral meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and America is now being discussed following President Trump's talks with Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday at the White House. 'The seven of them sitting in front of Trump's desk almost like ... minions getting their orders,' Mr Bolt said. 'I just wonder how sick Americans are really of having to bail out weak Europeans who can't even defend themselves.'
