Sana'a revives Mecca, Badr victories with cultural parties

Cultural parties were held in the districts of Sana'a Governorate to commemorate the conquest of Mecca, the Battle of Badr, and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, as part of the Ramadan program.
In the Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah District, the governorate's General Mobilization Officer, Fayez Al-Hanmi, highlighted in his speech the importance of promoting noble values and correct behavior in the hearts of community members by remembering martyrs and great figures, and recalling the virtues that Yemenis traditionally celebrate through remembrance, glorification, supplication, and recitation of the Holy Quran.
The speeches of the participants at the evening, which was attended by the director of the district, Khaled Al-Arshi, the director of the district, Hamdan Al-Darwani, a number of directors of the district's executive offices, and social figures, emphasized the importance of drawing lessons and morals from history to promote the culture of jihad and martyrdom in defense of religion, homeland, and the nation. They pointed to the killing and dragging taking place in Syria due to people abandoning jihad.
The speeches called for mobilizing efforts, continuing cultural courses, enrolling in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" courses, and preparing for this sensitive stage, during which the nation is facing American and British aggression as a result of its supportive stance toward the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
In the Manakha District, a cultural awareness evening was held in the Bayt Al-Mudai' sub-district, attended by the District Director, Munir Al-Kabsi, the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Ali Ghaleb, a number of executive office directors, and social figures.
The participants discussed the importance of commemorating the Conquest of Mecca, the Battle of Badr, and the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). They emphasized the importance of commemorating the historical milestones of the Islamic call, the sacrifices it made, and the struggle against hordes of hypocrites.
The speeches emphasized that the Conquest of Mecca represented a major turning point in the history of the Islamic call, through which it entered the global stage. At that time, Muslim society, under the leadership of the best of mankind, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), became one of the most advanced societies.
They called for celebrating these religious occasions to strengthen faith and foster a sense of responsibility toward the true Islamic faith. They urged people to take advantage of the summer vacation to encourage their children to enroll in summer courses to protect them from false cultures, false beliefs, and destructive calls, and to participate in the Tufan Al-Aqsa courses.
In Bani Matar District, several Ramadan night parties were held. In two parties, in the Sahman neighborhood in the Matna area and in the Baqlan sub-district, the director of the district, Yahya Al-Qanous, highlighted the great opportunity this month represents for guidance and turning to Allah Almighty.
He emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from the Battle of Badr, the anniversary of which falls on the seventeenth of this holy month. He called for interaction with the Ramadan program and listening to the lectures of the Leader.
He also addressed developmental aspects in the district, emphasizing the need to focus on agriculture and move toward activating community initiatives and reclaiming agricultural land.
In a party held in the village of Sha'bat, in the Thuluth sub-district, cultural activist Muhammad Al-Qasimi highlighted the greatness and virtues of the holy month, calling for increased acts of obedience and drawing closer to Allah through righteous deeds and jihad in His cause.
In the Jahana District, an awareness evening was held in the village of Beit Abu Sab'a, Al-Sahman District, during which the Director of General Mobilization in the District, Saleh Al-Hasani, pointed out that the month of Ramadan is a great station and opportunity to stock up on piety and guidance and to return sincerely to Allah through repentance, submission, supplication, and sitting with the Holy Quran.
He urged people to learn lessons and morals from the anniversary of the Battle of Badr, "the Day of Furqan," the day Allah granted Islam victory over disbelief and tyranny during the holy month of Ramadan. This is a sign of mobilization, preparation, and movement to confront the enemies of Allah.
Activist Ahmed Al-Ra'i spoke about the greatness of Ramadan, the month of goodness, charity, giving, solidarity, and compassion, and the month of mobilization and jihad. He emphasized that the holy month of Ramadan is a great opportunity to gain from Allah's guidance by listening to the lessons of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
He called on everyone to participate in summer courses to teach children the Holy Quran, arm them with Allah's guidance and Quranic culture, and raise their awareness of the importance of preserving their faith identity.
The evening included a poem by poet Akram Abu Saba'a.
