Vijay Sethupathi breaks silence on casting couch allegations: 'Let the woman enjoy her...'

Vijay Sethupathi, the Kollywood superstar and the National Award-winning actor, has strongly reacted to the sexual exploitation allegations levelled by a woman on X (previously known as Twitter). Recently, a woman on X claimed that Vijay Sethupathi had exploited a young woman for 'caravan favours.' The post was later deleted by the woman. Now, the actor has reacted to the allegations and called them 'baseless'. 'Anyone who knows me even remotely will laugh at this. I know myself too. This kind of filthy accusation can't upset me. My family and close friends are upset, but I tell them, 'Let it slide. This woman is obviously doing it to be noticed. She has her few minutes of fame, let her enjoy it,'' the Jawan actor told while talking to Deccan Chronicle. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The actor has filed a cybercrime complaint against the user and said these kinds of smear campaigns don't affect him. 'I've faced all kinds of whispering campaigns for seven years. Such targeting has not affected me so far. It never will,' Sethupathi shared. He further linked the timing of the post with the success of his latest film, Thalaivan Thalaivii and shared, 'My new film is doing well. Probably, some jealous elements think that by tarnishing me, they can damage my film. It doesn't work that way. In today's day and age, anyone can say anything about anybody. There are no filters. All you need is an account on social media, and you can write what you like without fear of repercussion.' ‘Zootopia 2' trailer: Judy and Nick return with a new case

Disney has released the first trailer for Zootopia 2, the sequel to its Oscar-winning 2016 hit, set to hit theaters on November 28, 2025. The animated film marks the 64th feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios and will release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu across India. The new trailer reintroduces bunny cop Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and sly fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), now full-time partners in the Zootopia Police Department. But their teamwork is starting to show cracks. The two find themselves in partners' therapy, led by calm-but-blunt counselor Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka voiced by Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson. With Nick's trust issues and Judy's assertive energy clashing, the duo clearly has work to do. Their relationship issues take a backseat when they're assigned a new mission: track down a mysterious pit viper named Gary De'Snake, voiced by Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Gary is the first reptile to appear in the all-mammal city in years, and his presence sends Zootopia into disarray, even though he insists he's there for his family. Chief Bogo (Idris Elba) warns that if Judy and Nick fail, he'll split up the duo. Jared Bush, who returns as writer and co-director alongside Byron Howard, said, 'It's been an absolute joy to reteam with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members.' Produced by Yvett Merino, Zootopia 2 will also see the return of characters like sloth Flash, crime boss Mr. Big, and pop star Gazelle (voiced by Shakira).

Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White in talks for ‘The Social Network' sequel directed by Aaron Sorkin

Oscar winner Mikey Madison and Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Allen White are in early discussions to star in the upcoming sequel to The Social Network, directed and written by Aaron Sorkin. The project is being developed at Sony Pictures and is reportedly a top priority for the studio. While no official offers have been made, sources confirm that meetings have taken place with both actors as Sorkin finalises casting and prepares to present the project's budget to the studio for approval. The untitled sequel will be based on The Facebook Files, a series of investigative articles by Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. Unlike the 2010 film directed by David Fincher — which chronicled the origins of Facebook and earned eight Academy Award nominations — the sequel will shift focus to the internal revelations about Facebook's harmful impact. The story explores the company's own research indicating the platform's damaging effects on teens, its role in spreading misinformation, and its contribution to political unrest, including the January 6 Capitol insurrection. If confirmed, Madison would portray whistleblower Frances Haugen, the former Facebook data engineer who leaked thousands of documents to the media and regulators. White is in talks to play Jeff Horwitz, the journalist who led the reporting on the internal Facebook documents. Described as a blend of The Insider and Spotlight, the film aims to examine corporate accountability and journalistic investigation in the digital age. Sorkin, who won an Oscar for writing the original The Social Network, will also produce the film alongside Todd Black, Peter Rice, and Stuart Besser. Madison recently won Best Actress at the Oscars for her role in Anora, which also took home Best Picture. White, a two-time Emmy winner for The Bear, will next be seen portraying Bruce Springsteen in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, releasing this October.
