50 prospects withdraw from NBA draft
May 30 - Fifty early entry candidates withdrew from 2025 NBA Draft consideration ahead of this week's deadline, including two players returning to defending national champion Florida.
In addition to forward Alex Condon and center Rueben Chinyelu of the Gators, the full list released by the league on Friday also includes a high-profile player transferring to Florida: guard Boogie Fland (Arkansas).
Head coach Todd Golden's Gators finished a 36-4 season with a 65-63 win over Houston in the NCAA Tournament title game on April 7. Condon delivered 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals in the game, with fellow starter Chinyelu contributing three points, five boards and one block.
Florida's other three starters -- guards Walter Clayton, Alijah Martin and Will Richard -- have exhausted their NCAA eligibility.
The NBA draft is scheduled for June 25-26.

Luke Poulter, the son of European Ryder Cup icon Ian Poulter, has missed out on a place in next week's US Open by the most brutal of margins after losing a sudden-death play-off in Florida on Tuesday. He must now rely on withdrawals to make the 156-strong field at the US Open. 'I can't believe how impressive today's 65 was to get into that position,' Ian Poulter said. 'We keep using this as incredible experience and we keep getting better. An alternate spot but not sure what number it will be.' A day earlier, Tayler Weaver, another son of a sporting father, went a step further by sealing qualification. The 22-year-old, whose dad Jason rode more than 1,000 winners over his career as a jockey and is now a respected pundit, beat two-time major champion Zach Johnson to one of the five spots available at Piedmont Driving Club in Georgia. Like Poulter, Weaver has been blazing a path through the US college circuit after leaving home in Newmarket. He said: 'This is definitely up there with my biggest achievement. Playing in a major championship is a dream of mine and it still hasn't quite sunk in that I will be teeing it up at Oakmont.'

Where's Marty McFly's guitar? Search is on for 'Back to the Future' prop 4 decades later
Marty McFly grabbed a guitar in 'Back to the Future' and rocked out with the band at a 1950s high school dance, helping him narrowly avoid blinking out of existence before time-traveling back to the 1980s. The guitar, in real life, wasn't as lucky. Filmmakers went looking for the instrument while making the movie's 1989 sequel, but even now it's nowhere to be found. Four decades after the blockbuster film debuted, the guitar's creator has launched a search for the iconic Cherry Red Gibson ES-345. Gibson, which is based in Nashville, is asking the public for help tracking it down as the movie turns 40 and as the company produces a new documentary about the search and the film, 'Lost to the Future.' In a video by Gibson, with the movie's theme song playing in the background, 'Back to the Future' stars such as Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Harry Waters Jr. make a cinematic plea. There's also a surprise appearance by Huey Lewis, whose band Huey Lewis and the News performed the soundtrack's headliner song, 'The Power of Love.' Lloyd, in the cadence of Doc Brown, says in the video that the guitar has been 'lost to the future.' 'It's somewhere lost in the space-time continuum,' says Fox, who played McFly. Warner Bros Discovery shareholders reject 2024 executive pay
June 3 (Reuters) - A majority of Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), opens new tab shareholders voted against the 2024 pay packages of CEO David Zaslav and other top executives at the media conglomerate's annual stockholder meeting, a Tuesday regulatory filing showed. The board of directors had recommended shareholders to vote in favor of the 2024 executive compensation; however, more than 59% of them rejected the proposal on a non-binding basis. For 2024, Zaslav's total compensation rose 4% from the prior year to $51.9 million. Warner Bros Discovery has been struggling to stem declines in its cable TV business amid widespread cord-cutting, focusing instead on its faster-growing streaming and studios divisions. Last month, it missed first-quarter revenue estimates and posted a larger-than-expected loss. The company is also moving towards a potential breakup, CNBC reported last month. WBD had laid the groundwork for a possible sale or spinoff of its declining cable TV assets last December by announcing a separation from its streaming and studio operations. Powered by a strong content slate, including the third season of HBO's "The White Lotus" and the medical drama series "The Pitt", WBD added 5.3 million streaming subscribers in the January-March quarter, beating market expectations, but still far off from streaming industry leader Netflix (NFLX.O), opens new tab. The company last month also walked back on the branding of its streaming service, Max, bringing back the HBO name it dropped two years ago.
