"But there's something slightly more intense about looking underneath the rock, looking, you know, at the psychological aspect, looking at mental health.
"The way in which this is shot that sits with the thoughts of people and he raw emotion on their faces and the time that's left on the characters spaces just slightly longer than is comfortable, so that the viewer really feels it with them, it creates an even bigger tension, in a way."

"I think you can mentally detach yourself when you're just writing
the script
, but it's the curse and the benefit of having such a fantastic cast and crew that when they were filming certain scenes.
"You see in episode one in particular, they filmed them so well that I felt like I was having some kind of PTSD.
"It took me right back to being the equivalent of Dr Ford in those situations."
However, Grace admitted that she hadn't anticipated how she would feel being on set and around the cast, but she told us that she was well supported.
The acclaimed writer added: "I had a lot of support from our crew and making sure that I was okay, or did I want to be on set for certain scenes? Would I find it distressing?
"Honestly, I haven't even anticipated that, so I was, like, really grateful that the provision was there and had been already thought of."

Reality TV star Tommy Fury has said he does not remember what it felt like when his fiancée Molly Mae-Hague walked out on him with their daughter Bambi, as he was intoxicated. The boxer, 26, who met Hague on ITV dating show Love Island, speaks about his his struggles with alcohol dependency in his new BBC Three docu-series, Tommy: The Good, The Bad, The Fury. In episode one he says: "I've never even said this before, but when they'd actually left the house, I was actually drunk at that point, so I don't actually remember it that well, which was even more upsetting. "I woke up. I was like shit, and I was listening to probably the silence of the house for like an hour. I was like, f***. And that was the last time they've been here. "I'm not going to lie and say I knew the feeling of what it was like when they walked out, I didn't because I was intoxicated. "But no matter how drunk I was, as long as Bambi's routine stayed the same, I'd still be up in the morning, quarter past seven, making a bottle in the microwave, doing the milk, getting her up, bringing her down, making her breakfast. "I'm still doing all that and, in my mind, if I could keep my fatherly duties going everything else will be OK." Also in the episode, Fury denies allegations of cheating that were spread online, and emphasises that the breakdown of their relationship was because of his problems with alcohol. Fury, who is the half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and Hague, 26, were runners up on Love Island in 2019, and announced their engagement in July 2023. In August 2024, they said that the relationship had ended, in separate social media messages, with Fury saying he was "heartbroken" to share the news. In an episode of her Prime Video docuseries, Behind It All, Hague spoke about how his drinking had affected their relationship, and in series two she gave an update on their future, saying that they have something "worth saving". In his new TV series the boxer "bares all about the demons that drove him to drink" and tries to prove to Hague that he is "a dependable father and partner once again", according to a description from the BBC. The series also looks at his boxing career, which took a backseat amid his hand surgery in January 2024. Fury said: "I feel like whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger and that year of 2024 was the toughest year by far. "It's a long way behind me now. I'm not that person any more, and I feel like everything's a lesson."

Ofcom reject 14,000 Love Island complaints over bullying and gaslighting after ‘most complained about series in 4 years'
LOVE Island will not be investigated by Ofcom - despite receiving more than 14,000 complaints about misogyny, bullying and mentally abusive behaviour. It was the second most complained about Love Island week in history - the first was season seven when Faye Winter kicked off after Casa Amor with total of 29,101 in just one week. Despite viewer's concern, the regulator will not be taking any further action. A spokesperson said."We carefully assessed the complaints we received about this series of Love Island. "We recognise that emotionally charged or confrontational scenes can upset some viewers. "But, in our view, negative behaviour in the villa was not shown in a positive light, and contestants were seen supporting or apologising to each other. "We also took into account that the format of this reality show is well-established, and viewers would expect to see highs and lows as relationships and friendships are tested." Ofcom received 14,167 complaints about the ITV reality series, including 24 about spin-off show Love Island: Unseen Bits, with the highest number of complaints coming on July 24, which saw 3,549 complaints relating to alleged bullying behaviour towards contestant Shakira Khan. Other complaints related to further alleged bullying of Khan, as well as fellow contestants Toni Laites, Yasmin Pettet, Meg Moore and Helena Ford, concern over contestants' mental health throughout the series, and Dejon Noel-Williams's behaviour towards Meg. Further complaints were made about the show's producers bringing contestant Megan Forte Clarke back onto the programme after she was dumped from the villa, and alleged race and gender based discrimination. Love Island's 12th series ran from June 9 to August 4 and Toni Laites and Cach Mercer took home the £50k, while Khan and Harry Cooksley finished as runners-up.
