True to its name, it has a diamond-shaped front end, a sleek horizontal LED light strip, an innovative headlamp, and a sharp rear. The bike that was showcased boasted sleek body panels that distinguished it from other electric motorcycles. While features like active aerodynamics and adaptive suspension have been present in motorcycles for some time, the Diamondhead will introduce active ergonomics as well. This feature intends to assist the rider in maintaining better control of the bike's functions by adjusting the handlebars or foot pegs during the ride. Additionally, the Diamondhead will be equipped with safety features like ADAS, traction control, and AI integration. Furthermore, the overall experience is expected to be improved with Ola's development of a 'Smart AR' helmet and smart wearables, creating a cohesive ecosystem with the motorcycle. The power source for the Diamondhead is Ola's Bharat Cell 4680 battery. By the time it enters production, Ola plans to enhance this battery for increased power, extended range, and improved performance. State-owned NHAI has implemented the FASTag annual pass across the country from Friday to encourage the use of technology to enhance 'ease of living' for the citizens, according to an official statement. The statement said the annual pass has received an overwhelming response from the national highway users. "Till 4:30 p.m. on the first day of the implementation, around 1.2 lakh users purchased and activated the annual pass and about 1.24 lakh transactions were recorded on toll plazas," it added. Zip through highways: ₹3,000 FASTag pass offers unlimited travel from Aug 15 The statement said that providing a seamless and economical travel option to national highway users, the FASTag Annual Pass eliminates the need to frequently recharge FASTag through a one-time fee payment of Rs 3,000 for one year's validity or 200 toll plaza crossings on National Highways and Expressways across the country. The annual pass is applicable to all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and gets activated within two hours of the one-time fee payment through the Rajmargyatra App or NHAI website. With a penetration rate of around 98 per cent and over 8 crore users, FASTag has revolutionised the Electronic Toll Collection system in the country, the statement said. The introduction of the annual pass facility will not only enhance the FASTag user experience but also make journeys on the National Highways and Expressways more economical and seamless, it added.

Ola Electric Mobility announced a series of product launches and technology updates at its annual Sankalp 2025 event. The company introduced the 4680 Bharat Cell, India's first indigenously developed lithium-ion cell, which will be integrated into its new vehicle line-up. It also unveiled Indias first ferrite motor that eliminates rare-earth magnets, targeted for phased deployment from Q3 FY26. Ola entered the sports scooter category with the launch of the S1 Pro Sport, equipped with 5.2kWh and 4kWh battery packs. The scooter is priced at Rs 1,49,999, with deliveries beginning January 2026. The S1 Pro+ (Rs 1,69,999) and Roadster X+ (Rs 1,89,999) were also introduced, both featuring the Bharat Cell and scheduled for deliveries this Navratri. A booking discount of Rs 10,000 is available until August 17. The company showcased Diamondhead, a prototype electric motorcycle capable of 0-100 kmph in 2 seconds, targeted for a sub-Rs 5 lakh launch in CY27. Ola also unveiled its modular Gen 4 platform, supporting two-, three- and four-wheelers as well as drones and humanoids. Compared to Gen 1, it offers 76% higher peak power, 25% lower weight, 15% better efficiency and 41% cost reduction. Additionally, Ola released MoveOS 6, its AI-powered operating system featuring over 25 functions, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and multilingual support in 11 Indian languages. The rollout is planned for early 2026. Ola Electric Mobility is India's leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer. It specialises in the vertical integration of technology and manufacturing for EVs and their components, including battery cells. The companys consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs 428 crore in Q1 FY26 as against net loss of Rs 870 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations jumped 35.52% QoQ to Rs 828 crore in Q1 FY26.
