J-K: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board dedicates 5 Temples to public in Reasi
According to a release, as part of this initiative, the Shrine Board has formally dedicated the five temples today at each location in distinct villages across the district, namely Gorta Kalika Sathaan, Village-Harotkote; Pancheri Galli, Village-Dangakote; Tote Devsthan, Village-Tote; Village-Devigarh of Tehsil Bhomag and Village-Chasana.
Prior to the installation of the Holy Idols at the newly constructed temples, the Shrine Board organised a spiritually enriching three-day Hawan and Puja ceremony at the Spiritual Growth Centre (SGC), Katra. These rituals were conducted with deep reverence by the Shrine Pujaris under the guidance of Padma Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri for invoking divine blessings and sanctifying the proceedings in alignment with age-old Vedic traditions.
Following these preparatory rites, the sacred Pran Pratishtha ceremonies-rituals and Kanya Poojan were performed at the respective temple locations. Each ceremony marked the formal consecration of the temple and its deity, carried out by learned Pujaris of the Shrine Board in the presence of local community members and Shrine Board officials.
During the dedication ceremony of the newly constructed temples, Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, stated that the Board has decided to entrust the management of these temples to the local communities after the sacred Pran Pratishtha rituals. He underscored that by handing over the responsibility for daily worship and routine maintenance to local residents, the Board aims to strengthen grassroots spiritual engagement in preserving cultural heritage while ensuring that the temples are maintained in a manner that reflects the community's devotional spirit and traditions. CEO also exhorted that the Shrine Board shall be installing CCTV cameras at each of the newly constructed temples as a vital measure to ensure the sanctity of the premises and support the effective management of temple activities.
Notably, as part of the sacred Pran Pratishtha rituals, the Shrine Board upheld the tradition of offering communal blessings by distributing Halwa and Channa Prasad to all those present on the occasion at the respective locations. (ANI)

Fire breaks out in coaches of express trains near Tirupati; none injured
A fire broke out on the Hisar Express near Tirupati railway station in Andhra Pradesh on Monday, causing panic among passengers and disrupting train operations in the area. Meanwhile, another train (Rayalaseema Express), travelling from Rajasthan to Tirupati, saw flames quickly spread through one of its coaches, according to a tweet by ANI. Railway staff acted promptly, and fire tenders were immediately sent to the Tirupati railway station yard. A nearby Vande Bharat train, running on a parallel track, reportedly stopped in time, preventing a more serious situation. Coaches gutted, but no casualties According to a report by NDTV, eyewitnesses said they saw thick smoke and flames coming from two coaches early in the morning. The fire soon intensified and completely destroyed the affected coaches. So far, no injuries have been reported as the coaches were reportedly empty at the time. Fire and rescue teams responded swiftly. Several fire engines were involved, and it took nearly an hour to fully put out the flames. The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be confirmed. A full investigation is now underway. Though there were no passengers on board the burnt coaches, the damage to property is significant. Efforts are on to clear the charred coaches from the tracks and resume normal services. 'No danger at this point' A Srinivasa Perumal, Superintendent of Police, told NDTV: "Rescue teams have taken full control of the train. There is no danger to life at this point." Seema Aggarwal, chief of fire services, added: "Our teams have reached the spot and are extinguishing. Since it's diesel, it's a challenge. Additional teams have been sent." Due to the fire, people in nearby areas were evacuated as a precaution. Meanwhile, train movement between Chennai and other regions has been hit due to the fire. The Southern Railways announced the cancellation of eight trains from Chennai and the diversion of five others. In a separate incident on Sunday morning, a freight train carrying 45 tankers of crude oil caught fire near Egattur, close to Thiruvallur. The train was travelling from Ennore in Chennai to Mumbai when one of the tankers caught fire. The flames quickly spread to nearby tankers, resulting in a massive blaze.

A fire broke out in the empty coach of a stationary train at the Tirupati Railway Station yard in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. No casualties were reported in the incident. The train was identified as the Hisar-Tirupati Special (04717), according to a release by the South Central Railway (SCR) Zone. The release added that the The fire in the general coach was spotted during the shunting process. Railway staff successfully detached the rest of the coaches from the two trains, thus preventing the spread of the blaze and avoiding further damage, according to ANI. "Just one coach caught fire around 2 pm. It was controlled very fast. The fire brigade came and controlled it immediately," PTI quoted an official as saying. The railway zone said that an investigation into the cause of the fire was underway, adding that operations at the station were not disrupted due to the incident. This comes a day after a goods train carrying diesel caught fire in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur, disrupting railway operations. Multiple trains, including those scheduled to depart from Dr MGR Chennai Central station, were cancelled or delayed. 'Due to a fire incident near Tiruvallur, overhead power has been switched off as a safety measure. This has led to changes in train operations,' Southern Railway said in a statement. They further urged the passengers to check the latest updates before travelling.
