Queen's Park Rangers boss Marti Cifuentes says his side can not "feel sorry" for themselves after they suffered another injury blow to their already weakened squad.The R's are missing several players because of injury, four of which are strikers, with Alfie Lloyd the newest addition after suffering a groin injury during the goalless draw with Cardiff at the weekend."Alfie's physical presence, his capacity to run in behind, was helpful for the team and he was very unfortunate to pick up that injury," the Spaniard told BBC Radio London.However, the four may be reduced to three following an assessment on Rayan Kolli (pictured) .The centre-forward has completed two full training sessions after missing the past nine games with a hamstring injury, and could be available for the trip to Oxford. "He's just had two trainings with the team, so usually we'd like them to have more," Cifuentes said. "We need to make sure we take care of him because he's a player we want to grow but he could be [available for Oxford]."Despite having so many important players on the sidelines, Cifuentes doesn't want to ruminate on their bad luck."I could be moaning for hours about how unlucky we have been, but this would not help us to win," he said. "We have done too many good things going through adversity to feel sorry for ourselves."

Craig Bellamy hopes longer training camp can help Wales extend unbeaten run
Wales hope to reap the benefit of an extended training camp for their World Cup qualifying double header after recognising June was where they came unstuck in their failed Euro 2024 campaign. Wales, who host Liechtenstein in Group J on Friday before facing Belgium on Monday, lost crunch matches against Armenia and Turkey in June 2023 before missing out on last summer's finals after a playoff defeat to Poland. Wales had a four-day training camp before those June defeats but in January this year Craig Bellamy and his Wales staff planned to increase their preparations to enhance their fitness levels at the end of the season. Wales organised a nine-day camp last month, half of which was at their Vale Resort base on the outskirts of Cardiff, the other half at the La Finca resort near Alicante, Spain, to prevent a physical drop-off across the team. Bellamy has said the number of squad members playing in the English Football League presents challenges, because the final games of the regular Championship season were on 4 May, more than a month before the visit of Liechtenstein to Cardiff, for which Wales will be without the Leeds winger Daniel James through illness. Bellamy said such a long break is 'not acceptable' for international football and felt the training camp enabled his players' muscles not to 'shut down'. He said: 'It's not designed for international football so we have to interrupt their break but they [the players] completely understand because we need to keep them moving. We have been able to do that and I feel that has been beneficial, especially this week. I feel like we're in very good shape leading into this one. The Wales manager, who is unbeaten in eight matches since his first game last September, said Wales cannot afford to disrespect Liechtenstein, who are 205th in the Fifa rankings. 'Do I understand people looking past it [Friday's game]? Of course I do,' Bellamy said. 'Do I understand that people believe we should win? Of course I do. But I was up late last night, I didn't sleep. Does that tell you something? I treat every team the same. I've watched the same amount of Liechtenstein as I have of everybody else. 'I honestly believe if you disrespect the game, it will catch you out. The same messages have been fed to the players as well. We have to be us. Fight for every ball. Recovery runs. Reactions. We have to be consistent no matter who we're playing against. The top teams are the ones that are consistent.' Mikel Arteta adds Aston Villa star to Arsenal's new four-man transfer shortlist
Morgan Rogers starred for Aston Villa as they reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, attracting the attention of Arsenal who are set for a busy summer transfer window Morgan Rogers has emerged as a target for Arsenal following a stunning season with Aston Villa. The midfielder fired in 14 goals and registered 15 assists in all competitions, including scoring a hat-trick against Celtic in the Champions League. His peformances for Villa earned him a place in the England squad, making his debut in the defeat to Greece last November, as well as a nomination for the Premier League's Young Player of the Year award. His displays in the Midlands have caught the eye of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta. After a third successive runners-up finish in the Premier League, Arteta is desperate to finally take his side over the line and win their first title since 2004. A striker has long been assumed to be the top target, with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko both heavily linked with a move to the Emirates. Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is also closing in on joining the Gunners. Despite the Spaniard arriving in a £51million deal, it appears Arteta is keen to further boost his midfield options. Jorginho has already departed on a free transfer, while negotiations with Thomas Partey over a new deal are ongoing. Even while those talks continue, Arteta is bidding to strengthen in that area of the pitch. According to The Times, Rogers has been added to a shortlist of four players Arsenal will look to target. Arteta is keen to bring in a left winger, a forward, a centre-back and a midfielder in addition to Zubimendi this summer. Rogers' versatility makes him an attractive player to the Gunners boss. The 22-year-old has featured in attacking midfield, at striker and out wide for Villa. But it would take a bumper offer to prise him away from Villa, with his contract having another five years to run. Feyenoord's Igor Paixão is also on the list and would be a cheaper alternative to Rogers. Bayern Munich 's Leroy Sané and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams complete Arteta's shortlist. The Gunners are said to have held talks with the representatives of Williams and Sané. The latter is out of contract at Bayern Munich though would likely demand an expensive wage package. Williams meanwhile has a £42million release clause, but is expected to demand a salary of more than £250,000 a week. Rogers has previously made it clear he is happy with life at Villa, having won the club's Young Player of the Year award. 'Never a moment's rest,' he said in March as he hailed boss Unai Emery. 'When you probably least expect it is where he'll catch you out, telling you about yourself. For me personally, I wouldn't change it. "It's what you need sometimes, when you've had a few good games, sometimes you might not be as at it, that 1 per cent. He will make sure that 1 per cent is nipped in the bud straight away. He always drags the best out of you."

The Premier League has grown. 'Luis Enrique would bring a new dynamic and if I was at Manchester United, I'd be asking Luis Enrique to come to my club. 'When you come to Manchester United at the moment, things are not smooth. You can prove that you're good, but for how long? 'They are not the best conditions for Yoro, but when you look at him you can see that he has the ability to become a top defender.'
