Army to hold recruitment rallies for Agniveer, regular cadre for state candidates in Pune, Nagpur
Army recruitment rallies for Agniveer and Regular Cadre for candidates from Maharashtra, who have already cleared the Common Entrance Exam (CEE), will be held in Pune from August 9 to 19 and in Nagpur from September 3 to 13, the Army said in a press statement on Tuesday. Army authorities have warned against touts and fraudsters who claim they can help with recruitment. The rally in Pune, which is being conducted by the Recruiting Office Pune, is being held at the premises of Training Battalion-2 of Bombay Engineer Group and Centre at Dighi. It will cover Pune, Ahilyanagar (earlier known as Ahmednagar), Beed, Latur, Dharashiv (earlier Osmanabad) and Solapur districts. The rally in Nagpur, which is being conducted by the Army Recruiting Office Nagpur, is being held at Albert Ekka Stadium of Guards Regimental Centre, Kamptee and it will cover Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, Amravati, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Akola and Yavatmal districts. Candidates who have passed the CEE held in July 2025 will be screened for physical fitness and medical fitness in these two rallies. They have been sent their rally admit cards to their emails. Candidates can also log into the Join Indian Army website and get their admit cards. In case of any problems, respective Recruiting Offices will help the candidates in this process in their offices in Pune Camp and Kamptee Cantonment, the release added. 'The recruitment process is fully automated, fair and transparent and candidates must guard against touts and fraudsters who claim that they can help anyone pass or get enrolled. Only hard work and preparation will ensure their selection as per merit,' it said.

Meet Revathi Ganesan who ships hand-made rakhis to the Indian Army
With tears in her eyes, she recalls the moment a jawan broke down as she tied a rakhi around his wrist in 1998. She also recalls how many of them emptied their pockets in return. Her voice quivers as she says softly, 'That was the moment that became my motivation to continue.' She also recalls the first time she sent rakhis to the Wagah border and how it all came together serendipitously. Just as she was looking to ship them, an unscheduled army chopper happened to be heading there with supplies. 'That's how I knew it was meant to be,' she says. 'I also stumbled initially thinking if the packets would be accepted by the Islamic and Christian brothers in the Army, but a friend from the Navy encouraged me to go ahead with it saying that they would accept it since the Indian Army has no religion,' she adds.
