WWE
women's division prospect legitimately injured herself during an important match on Monday Night RAW this week.
WWE superstars are some of the most amazing and athletic individuals who mesmerize the audience each week. However, they take real risks and there can be times that one wrong move can lead to devastating injuries. A similar instance took place on this week's edition of Monday Night RAW emanting from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
Which RAW superstar got injured this week?
On the May 19th, 2025 edition of Monday Night RAW, a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match was scheduled to take place. The bout pitted Rhea Ripley, the returning Kairi Sane, and the dominant
Zoey Stark
. The match kicked off to an explosive start. However, tragedy happened just a few moments into the match.
As Zoey Stark attempted to do a Sniper Missile dropkick off the top rope, she landed awkwardly and injured her knee as she was seen grabbing it right after doing the move. During the commercial break, WWE medical personnel helped Stark to the back. Her injury seemed so bad that she was not even able to walk to the backstage area, and the official had to carry her in his arms.
However, the match continued between Ripley and Sane, and in the end, saw Mami put down the Pirate Princess with the Riptide to secure her place in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match this year. As for Zoey Stark, she suffered a similar injury in the past, which took months off her career. While there is no update at the moment, it can be expected that she could be out of action for an extended period.
Stark has been a formidable superstar on RAW, who is a former NXT Tag Team and Speed Champion. She has been a singles performer for a while after her Pure Fusion Collective faction cohorts, Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville were released. So it remains to be see how long Stark will be out after suffering the devastating injury.

WWE eyeing ECW classic ‘Wrestlepalooza' name for September 20 PLE event opposing AEW All Out

Image via WWE So far, WWE's strategy to counter AEW programming has mostly been limited to NXT and its premium live events. Events like NXT Battleground ran opposite AEW's Double or Nothing, while the upcoming NXT Heatwave will air on the same day as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. But according to new reports, the company is now looking to bring the fight to its main roster shows as well. The first major experiment is rumored for September 20, with John Cena and Brock Lesnar expected to headline a WWE event that will run directly opposite AEW All Out in Canada. If the reports hold true, the WWE Universe could be treated to a blockbuster Cena vs. Lesnar main event in September, and now there are even hints of an official name being lined up for this rumored premium live event. Wrestlepalooza could feature John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar as the main event Lesnar's return at SummerSlam, after two years away, set the tone for the rivalry. He closed the show by planting Cena with a devastating F5, sparking speculation that their clash would happen at Clash in Paris on August 31. Instead, that event went to Logan Paul, leaving the long-awaited Cena vs. Lesnar bout as the centerpiece of WWE's counter to AEW in September. Adding even more intrigue, reports indicate that WWE plans to revive a legendary event name from ECW's history, Wrestlepalooza. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Sperm May Boost Your Income SpellRock Undo The Indianapolis-based PLE would not only mark the first time WWE has put a main roster show directly against an AEW pay-per-view but also carry a nostalgic hook that hardcore fans will recognize. Originally an ECW staple from 1995 to 2000, Wrestlepalooza's most memorable outing came in 1998 when Shane Douglas defended the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Al Snow on pay-per-view. With WWE owning ECW's full video library and intellectual property, dusting off the Wrestlepalooza name would be a straightforward move, and a strategic one. It offers instant brand recognition, a nod to wrestling history, and a way to differentiate the event from WWE's regular lineup of premium shows. All signs point to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis as the likely venue, continuing WWE's tradition of running major events in the city. WWE is planning to host John Cena's final match opposite AEW Worlds End In what could be a another major move against AEW, WWE is also considering shifting the date of John Cena's final match so that it airs head-to-head with AEW's Worlds End pay-per-view in December. The news was first reported by Bryan Alvarez on the Wrestling Observer Live. Alvarez explained that while nothing is finalized, the discussion is very much active within WWE. The veteran journalist said, 'Originally, the final John Cena match was going to be in early December Saturday Night's Main Event. And this is not confirmed, okay, but it does look like there is now a discussion that the date will be moved so it will be head-to-head with AEW World's End.' If WWE goes through with the scheduling change, it would mark the most direct counter-programming effort either company has attempted so far, setting up a dramatic end-of-year clash for wrestling fans.
