After Moving Day, Griffin revealed a concerning detail about his life when talking to the media. He has a signature style of wearing sunglasses when playing golf on a sunny day, and the reason behind it is quite unfortunate.
"I see floaters. I have really bad vision." He said. "So, about a year ago is when I started seeing floaters, went to an eye doctor, realized my retina was starting to kind of try to detach itself. I had retinal holes.
"So I had to go get basically laser surgery to fill in those holes. I had eight retinal holes in both eyes. So I was at risk of losing vision maybe within five or six months had I not gotten the treatment."

Griffin's surgery didn't fix the problem, but only stalled it from spreading. Living with the risk of losing vision at just 28 years is very tough.

"I still see the floaters. It was just like I had to get the surgery just to maintain my level." Griffin continued. "And because of that, when I wear sunglasses, it's a little bit darker out. So I don't necessarily see the floaters as well. If it's really bright out and I'm not wearing sunglasses, I look into the clouds or whatever and I see black stuff everywhere."
The 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge winner will aim for a second consecutive victory, dueling with Scheffler, who holds a one-shot advantage and is also looking to join Tiger Woods as a back-to-back Memorial champion.

San Anotnio Spurs Celebrite Pride Month on Social Media
San Anotnio Spurs Celebrite Pride Month on Social Media originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The San Antonio Spurs, as the only major professional team in San Antonio, are a centerpiece to the city's culture, often leading the way on community events and initiatives. Advertisement As the community gets ready to celebrate Pride Month, the Spurs sent a message to their fans on social media. While companies, like NBA teams, have come under fire in recent years for monetizing social movements like Pride and Black Lives Matter, the Spurs have generally been on the forefront of such efforts. Of course, Gregg Popovich has long supported such policies, and "The Spurs' Way" and their philanthropic efforts suggest that the Spurs as a whole support community initiatives like Pride. In San Antonio, the Pride Parade is scheduled for June 28, hosted by Pride San Antonio and is dubbed the "largest LGBTQIA Night Parade" in the city. Advertisement The same organization will host a festival that day, from 11 am to 7 pm at Crockett Park. Last year, the Spurs released a Pride Collection on their store, featuring posters, jerseys, flags, and shirts. Designed by Rookie Made, a Toronto-based artist The Spurs hosted Pride Month on March 2, joining 24 other teams that hosted a similar event during the season. The Spurs worked in partnership with Thrive Youth Center. With San Antonio existing at the confluence of several cultures, it makes sense that the Spurs would be near the forefront of celebrating the diverse communities that make the city special. Colorado Makes Major Announcement Ahead of Deion Sanders' 3rd Season as Coach
Colorado Makes Major Announcement Ahead of Deion Sanders' 3rd Season as Coach originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Colorado Buffaloes should prove one of the more intriguing stories of the 2025 college football season, though not for the same reasons that they have been in each of the past two years. Advertisement Colorado came back onto the national scene with a bang after hiring former NFL great Deion Sanders as its head coach ahead of the 2023 campaign. Sanders immediately infused the program with celebrity and swagger, which was only increased by two of the players who arrived in Boulder along with him -- his son and quarterback Shedeur Sanders as well as future Heisman Trophy winner and two-way superstar Travis Hunter (wide receiver/cornerback). Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion J. Rebilas-Imagn Images But it was more than flash that Sanders and company brought to the Buffaloes. The team, which was among the worst Division I outfits in the country for years, turned around its fortunes and has earned a 13-12 record during Sanders' two-year tenure, including an 0-1 record in postseason action (Alamo Bowl, 2024). Advertisement How Colorado moves forward in the post Shedeur Sanders-Hunter era is one of the most pertinent questions not just in the Big 12 Conference but nationwide. Buffaloes fans have already displayed their expectations, hopefulness and loyalty to the new-look program under Sanders' leadership, which the university announced via social media on Monday, June 2. "The Colorado Buffaloes have sold out their season tickets for the third straight year, via @YahooSports," the Sportskeeda Pro Football X account wrote. Colorado opens its 2025 campaign on Friday, August 29, with a home game against Georgia Tech.
