Kuberaa opened to strong reviews from fans and critics alike, especially for its engaging storyline and cast performances.
Kuberaa, the Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer crime drama has been enjoying a successful run at the box office. The film, which opened to strong numbers and saw a solid first-week run, has slowed down significantly in its second week. Despite that, it has managed to cross the Rs 80 crore mark and is now heading towards the Rs 85 crore mark at the domestic box office.
According to sacnilk.com, Kuberaa minted Rs 80 Lakhs on its second Wednesday, taking the film's total 13-day collection to Rs 83.55 crore Nett in India across all languages.
The film witnessed a grand opening weekend, collecting Rs 14.75 crore on Day 1, Rs 16.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.35 crore on Sunday. In its first week, Kuberaa collected Rs 69 crores across all languages.
Kuberaa opened to strong reviews from fans and critics alike, especially for its engaging storyline and cast performances.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who attended the film's success party, said no one else could have played the character of Deva better than Dhanush, and that he couldn't recognise Dhanush at first while watching the film because the actor seemed so immersed in the character.
'Deva is the character in this film who touched my heart the most. 'No one else can play this character except Dhanush," he said. 'It has become a regular affair for you. But let me wish you well in advance. Congratulations, the award for best actor should come to you. If you win, everyone will be proud. Otherwise, there is no point to National Awards. Certainly, you will win."
Apart from Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika, the film also features actor Jim Sarbh in the leads. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for the film, and Niketh Bommi did the cinematography. Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre are the production designers of the film, which has been co-written by Chaithanya Pingali.
Kuberaa depicts the story of Deva, a beggar whose life gets altered by an encounter with Deepak, a former CBI officer. The film addresses themes of greed, power, and redemption via a social and political storyline. Deva gets caught in a world of black money laundering and shadow finance, while Deepak, initially honest, is dragged into a corrupt system.

Anil Kapoor once owned just one flat in a Juhu building; later bought entire property: ‘Every brick has my sweat, blood'

We all know about Anil Kapoor and wife Sunita Kapoor's love story. While the actor struggled to gain a foothold in the Hindi film industry during the early stages of his career, Sunita, a successful model at the time, supported him both financially and emotionally. Eventually, Anil made it big in the film industry. However, he decided not to marry Sunita until he could afford his own home. In an earlier interview with Asian Paints Where the Heart Is, Anil Kapoor shared that he bought his first house after gaining success with Hum Paanch, a TV show he co-produced with his brother Boney Kapoor. He later purchased an apartment in the building where he currently resides and recalled entering the house for the first time with his newborn daughter Sonam. He said, 'Every brick of this house has my sweat, blood and hard work in it. There is no scam, no luck, it is all hard work and blood and sweat. Thought I will propose to Sunita only when I will be able to afford a house.' He added, 'When Sonam was born we came to this house. That was the first time we came to this house.' Anil went on to reveal that though he bought just one floor in the four-storey building at the start of his career, as his success grew, he managed to buy all the floors one by one. He said, 'People make their bungalow into a building, I made a building into a bungalow.' Anil and Sunita's Juhu home exudes old-world charm and elegance. The house has a cozy entrance adorned with artifacts and lush greenery. Inside, there's a dedicated corner for the temple, featuring a beautifully framed idol of Lord Ganesha. The temple also includes a sitting area for prayers. Anil Kapoor also gave viewers a glimpse of his gym and the open terrace, which is stylishly decorated with patio furniture and an abundance of plants. The terrace also features a bar counter and offers a tropical vibe while maintaining privacy for the family. The main highlight of the video was Anil taking viewers to his den — a section of the house he has designed as his personal sanctuary. Styled in a European aesthetic, the actor shared that he wanted the space to remind him of London. The den is furnished with large Maharaja-style sofas and decorated with Renaissance-inspired paintings. A vintage wooden round table adds character, while a chandelier and a view of lush plants outside the windows complete the space's regal yet cozy feel. According to GQ, Anil Kapoor spent around Rs 30 crore to acquire the property in 2000. The property is approximately 10,000 sq ft in size and is located in Mumbai's posh area of Juhu. Apart from the Juhu bungalow, Anil also owns properties in Central London, Southern California, and a spacious apartment in Dubai. According to Lifestyle Asia and publicly available data, Anil has an estimated net worth of Rs 134 crore. While Anil's house reflects vintage elegance, his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor's sea-facing apartment introduces a contrasting modern vibe. Located just a short walk from his father's bungalow, Harsh's home features a contemporary design with walls lined with DVDs and furniture built around massive speakers and other tech appliances. He also uses his living room as a personal screening area with a projector installed. One of the most eye-catching aspects of Harsh's home is the huge balcony that offers a stunning ocean view. But what truly stands out is a room he's converted entirely into a shoe closet to house his expansive sneaker collection. Though Anil and Harsh's homes are dramatically different from one another, they beautifully reflect their distinct personalities and the generational contrast between father and son.
