UEFA Champions League Final 2025 Live Score: PSG Eyeing History, As Inter Look To Extend Legacy
Champions League Final 2025 Live Score: In search of history, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan will face each other tonight in the Champions League final, at the Allianz Arena in Munich. PSG is aiming to win the prestigious European club football title for the first time, while Inter is seeking its fourth title. The match will take place at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena, which has a capacity of 75,000, and is set to kick off at 9:00 pm (1900 GMT). Inter brings experience to the game, while PSG is making their second appearance in the final since the club's transformative Qatari takeover in 2011. Excitement is at a fever pitch in Paris, where around 40,000 fans will watch on giant screens at PSG's Parc des Princes stadium, and a significant police presence is planned throughout the city. The European season's climax presents a fascinating clash of styles and team-building philosophies—between a traditional European powerhouse and a modern state-owned superclub. Despite heavy investment, PSG has yet to win the Champions League, with their closest attempt being in 2020 when they lost to Bayern in Lisbon during the pandemic. Under Spanish coach Luis Enrique, a dynamic young PSG side has taken Europe by storm in recent months. A comeback win in January against 2023 champions Manchester City acted as a catalyst. PSG then knocked out three more Premier League sides – Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal – on their way to the final and secured a French league and cup double. Ousmane Dembele has been their star player with 33 goals, supported by forwards Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, and January signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Inter was the last Italian team to win, with Jose Mourinho's side defeating Bayern in Madrid in 2010. They also won the title twice in the 1960s. Coach Simone Inzaghi was in charge when Inter reached the final two years ago but narrowly lost to City. Eight players from that team might start again, and the experienced lineup features three players aged 36 or over. Inter beat Bayern in the quarter-finals and overcame Barcelona in a thrilling semi-final. Remarkably, this is the first competitive encounter between the two teams. While fans flocked to Munich on Friday, fan zones have been set up in three locations around Paris beyond PSG's stadium. More than 5,000 police officers will be deployed in the city and its suburbs during the final, following violence after PSG's semi-final win against Arsenal. In Milan, tens of thousands of fans will also watch the game at Inter's San Siro stadium.

"Don't believe everything you see on internet": Shubman Gill ends rift rumours with Hardik Pandya
Mullanpur (Punjab) [India], May 31 (ANI): India Test skipper Shubman Gill put an end to speculation of any tension between him and all-rounder Hardik Pandya during the Eliminator in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday. There were rumours circulated on social media that GT skipper Gill didn't shake hands with Hardik during the time of the toss at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. Gill silenced the critics as he took to Instagram and wrote, 'Nothing but love (Don't believe everything you see on the internet) @hardikpandya95.' Chasing a mammoth total of 229 in the Eliminator, Gill was sent back to the pavilion after scoring just 1 run, whereas Hardik played a quickfire knock of 22 runs from just nine balls, which was laced with three maximums in his innings which came at a whopping strike rate of 244.44. Recapping the match, a brilliant half-century by Sai Sudharsan and his partnership with Washington Sundar went in vain as fine death bowling effort from the five-time champions helped the Blue and Gold franchise eliminate the 2022 champions from the competition with a 20-run win at Mullanpur. With this win, MI will now play Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Ahmedabad on June 1 for a spot in the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on June 3. MI won the toss and elected to bat first. They started off with a bang, with Jonny Bairstow (47 in 22 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes) and Rohit Sharma taking on pacers really well. Rohit went on to score his third fifty in IPL knockouts, making 81 in just 50 balls, with nine fours and four sixes. He also completed his 7,000 IPL runs, becoming the second batter to do so. Fine cameos from Suryakumar Yadav (33 in 20 balls, with a four and three sixes), Tilak Varma (25 in 11 balls, with three sixes) and Hardik Pandya (22* in nine balls, with three sixes) took MI to 228/5. Sai Kishore (2/42) and Prasidh Krishna (2/53) were the top bowlers for GT. In the run chase, GT lost skipper Shubman Gill early. However, Sai Sudharsan (80 in 49 balls, with 10 fours and a six) stitched half-century partnerships with Kusal Mendis (20 in 10 balls, with a four and two sixes) and Washington Sundar (48 in 24 balls, with five fours and three sixes), keeping GT ahead of the required rate. However, some fine death bowling prevented them from winning as MI restricted GT to 208/6 in 20 overs. Trent Boult (2/56) was the top bowler for MI. Jasprit Bumrah, Richard Gleeson, Ashwani Kumar and Mitchell Santner got one each. Rohit Sharma was awarded Player of the Match for his exceptional batting performance. (ANI)

Indian sprinters win Silver at Asian Championships, secure spot at 2025 World Athletics Championship
Gumi [South Korea], May 31 (ANI): India's women's 4x100m relay team delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea, clinching a silver medal with a timing of 43.86 seconds. The team--comprising Srabani Nanda, Abhinaya Rajarajan, SS Sneha, and Nithya Gandhe--finished second behind China, who took gold with 43.28 seconds. Thailand secured bronze in 44.26 seconds, as per a press release from the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). The result not only brought India a podium finish at the continental level but also secured the relay team's qualification for the World Athletics Championships to be held in Tokyo next year. Among the four sprinters, Sneha's selection and performance hold particular significance for HRDS INDIA SPORTS ACADEMY, which she represents. Her contribution to the medal-winning relay marks the first-ever international medal for the academy, which focuses on identifying and training talent from tribal and underprivileged communities across India. 'This silver medal is not just an individual milestone--it represents the success of a system that believes in talent, discipline, and opportunity,' said the founder secretary of HRDS INDIA. 'We are proud of Sneha and the entire Indian relay team. Their performance in Gumi shows that Indian athletics is moving in the right direction.' The academy has been actively working to build a robust grassroots system to support athletes from marginalised backgrounds, with a long-term vision of contributing to India's Olympic prospects for 2036. Sneha's qualification for the World Championships is seen as validation of that approach. As the athletes prepare for the global stage in Tokyo, the success in Gumi is expected to inspire a new generation of young Indian sprinters. For HRDS INDIA, the medal also reinforces its broader mission: to equip athletes with the training, support, and environment needed to compete at the highest levels of sport. (ANI)
