Mirvish Productions has found its '& Juliet' star in a former Stratford Festival Juliet
Mirvish Productions has announced the all-Canadian cast of the Toronto run of hit pop musical '& Juliet' following a fiercely competitive audition process last year. Vanessa Sears will star as Juliet. It's a role she has already played in the 2024 Stratford Festival version of 'Romeo and Juliet,' albeit with a different ending than the one in the musical.

Blue Rodeo celebrating 40 years with 2 Winnipeg shows
Canadian alt-country band Blue Rodeo is touring coast to coast in 2025 to celebrate four decades of making music. Frontmen Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor founded the band in the '80s and have been a constant ever since, creating such hits as Try, Lost Together, After the Rain and Five Days in May, and winning multiple Juno Awards. The members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame will play two shows in Winnipeg at the Burton Cummings Theatre on Oct. 16 and 17. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Joining the band on all dates is singer-songwriter Adam Baldwin.
