Exclusive - Aadesh Chaudhary embraces the digital shift: OTT platforms let me explore as an actor
Aadesh Chaudhary, a familiar face in Indian television, has been winning hearts for years with his nuanced performances and grounded on-screen persona. From portraying sensitive leads to intense supporting characters, Aadesh has carved a niche for himself in the television industry through a string of memorable roles in popular serials like Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Sasural Simar Ka, Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai, and Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Each of these shows not only cemented his standing as a dependable actor but also showcased his ability to bring emotional authenticity to every role.
The actor describes his shift to digital as both organic and deeply aspirational. 'I have done a lot of television, and when the OTT boom happened, I really wished to see myself on big OTT platforms,' he shares. 'So I thought, why not try something new and challenging in the OTT world?'
True to his words, Aadesh has already begun making his mark in the digital space.
His roles in web projects such as Sabse Bada Rupaiya, Chitta Ve, The H Files, and Bhram have shown a refreshing versatility, allowing him to shed the constraints of conventional television tropes and explore characters with greater psychological depth and narrative complexity. Each performance brings a new shade of his craft to the fore, and he credits this shift for invigorating his artistic spirit.
'The experience has been really good,' Aadesh reflects.

'Unlike daily soaps where there are time constraints and you shoot multiple scenes in a day, web series give you the space to breathe and build your character scene by scene. That kind of preparation is a luxury—and a gift—for an actor.'
He continues, 'OTT platforms have opened a whole new world for performers like me. They offer creative satisfaction. You're not boxed into doing the same thing repeatedly. You get the freedom to experiment, to explore different genres, and to take risks that television rarely allows.
I've grown as an actor because of this change.'
Indeed, for Aadesh, this transition is more than just a career move—it's a creative rebirth. At a time when many actors struggle to stay relevant amid rapid shifts in the industry, he has embraced change with grace and curiosity. 'Unpredictability is a part of this industry,' he acknowledges. 'I've learned to accept that and move forward with an open mind. I take one day at a time, and I try to remain grounded.
At the end of the day, what matters most is happiness and creative fulfillment.
That's what I'm chasing now.'
Even when he's not on set, Aadesh stays connected to his craft. 'I keep watching films, working on monologues, and doing acting exercises. It helps me stay sharp, stay ready. As an actor, you have to keep feeding your passion.'
While his current focus is the digital realm, Aadesh hasn't ruled out a return to the small screen. 'I'm absolutely open to television,' he says with sincerity. 'If the role is strong and the story excites me, I won't hesitate. For me, it's not about the medium—it's about the work. Whether it's a web series, a film, or a TV show, if my heart is in it, I'm all in.'

From tears to triumph: Virat Kohli's emotional IPL coronation after 18-year wait
Virat Kohli holds the IPL trophy. (Pic credit: IPL) in Ahmedabad: After Josh Hazlewood bowled the second dot of the final over, Virat Kohli 's face appeared on the big screen at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He was seen wiping tears from his eyes. The moment the last ball was bowled, he fell to his knees, and the emotions flowed. He was mobbed by his current RCB teammates. Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, his former RCB mates with whom he lost the final in 2016, were there to give him warm hugs. His biggest supporter, wife Anushka Sharma, was there to live the moment. In another emotional video, he jumps and hugs former India coach Ravi Shastri. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Right from the start of the day, it felt like it was written in the stars. There was a sea of Jersey No. 18 entering the stadium. The chants of 'Virat, Virat' and 'RCB, RCB' were easily heard from afar. The crowd was one-sided. They cheered for every RCB boundary, six, and wicket — but fell silent when Kohli was dismissed. Who's that IPL player? When he collapsed onto the ground after the final ball, the first person to reach him was a cameraman — who probably had only one job: to capture his emotions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Alívio da dor sem os riscos: entenda o que essa planta pode fazer. Saúde e Bem Estar Undo Virat generally wears his heart on his sleeve. The usual post-wicket roar was there, but after winning the IPL — the trophy he had chased for 18 years — something was missing. It was a subdued celebration from Kohli. Perhaps because he never truly believed this day would come. He even admitted as much. 'A particularly special feeling': Andy Flower hails Virat Kohli, RCB after historic title win 'I never thought this day would come,' he told broadcasters after the match. 'It has been 18 long years. I have given this team my youth, my prime, and my experience. I have tried to win this every season that I have played, and I have given everything I have. To finally have this moment come — it's an unbelievable feeling.' The past few years hadn't been kind to Virat. He was dogged by poor form, self-doubt, criticism, and mental health struggles. He relinquished captaincy in all three formats — including the IPL. And it seemed like Kohli was fading away, like so many sporting icons do. But he fought his demons. He produced one of the greatest T20I knocks against P at the MCG in the 2022 T20 World Cup. While T20s were never considered his forte, 50-over cricket has always been his domain — where he has reigned supreme. He was the leading run-scorer in the 2023 ODI World Cup, where, heartbreakingly, the dream was shattered at this very venue. Yet again, he picked himself up. He was asked to open alongside Rohit Sharma ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. He struggled through most of the tournament, only to score a stunning 76 in the final against South Africa in Barbados. He then added another feather to his cap by winning the 2025 Champions Trophy. Kohli shocked the cricketing world by announcing his retirement from Test cricket — the format he loved the most. Even after winning the IPL after so many years, he didn't consider it anywhere near his achievements in Test cricket. 'This moment is right up there with the best moments I've had in my career, but it still ranks five levels below Test cricket. That's how much I love and value the format,' he told Matthew Hayden after the match. 'I would just urge youngsters coming through to treat that format with respect. If you perform in Test cricket, you can walk around anywhere in the world, and people will look you in the eye, shake your hand, and say, 'Well done, you played the game really well.' If you want to earn respect globally, take up Test cricket, give it your heart and soul — and when you walk out the other side, you'll have earned the respect of the cricketing world and legends like yourself. ' 'Daring, Dynamic, Different': Ponting hails PBKS young guns despite final loss Punjab Kings head coach Ricky Ponting echoed Kohli's sentiments. 'I'm probably one of the biggest purists still involved in the game, whether I'm coaching or commentating. My first love is Test cricket — always has been,' he told reporters. 'I totally understand what Virat means. He's had a magnificent Test career, and an even better white-ball career that's still ongoing. I'm not sure how much of a celebrator he is, but I reckon he'll be celebrating long and hard tonight — and over the next few days,' said Ponting. Now, with the 18-year wait finally over and the monkey off RCB's back, the question is: Will we now see a dominant RCB in years to come? And with Virat Kohli still scoring runs for fun, it's a dangerous sign for all other teams. So, fasten your seatbelts — because as Virat said, his heart and soul are with Bangalore. That clearly means he's not done yet, and the all-time great is coming for more.

Virat Kohli deserves it more than anyone else: Patidar after leading RCB to maiden IPL title
After 18 years of hurt and disappointment, and a final that ebbed and flowed, when newly-crowned IPL champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar got a chance to say "Ee Sala Cup Namdu" (this year the cup is ours), the fans roared. But when he said that " Virat Kohli deserved it more than anyone else", the cheers were deafening as the legend grinned from ear to ear. "It is really special for me, for Virat Kohli, and all the fans. Those who have supported for years, they all deserve it. It's a great opportunity for me and a great learning for me to captain Kohli, he deserves it more than anyone else," Patidar said after the final here on Tuesday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like You Won't Believe What Homes Cost in Batna Homes Cost | Search Ads Learn More Undo Talisman Kohli praised Patidar's captaincy through the tournament and tossed his bat at him during the dressing room celebrations, and the skipper was seen kissing the willow in a show of respect. "Heartbreak corner... no more. "What a turnaround. From injury replacement to IPL-winning captain. Bloody hell...," Kohli said of Patidar as he entered the dressing room. It was at this very venue that India lost the final of the 2023 World Cup to Australia after an unbeaten run to the title clash, with Kohli in imperious form. "I think I am going to feel the real side of it when we get to Bengaluru tomorrow, and celebrate it with the city and the fans who have stood with us through thick and thin. So I am just relieved. "Full bunch of match winners. People stepping up at different stages and putting their hands up to get the job done for the team. To have that hunger and confidence in them. "I am just glad that I could do it with RCB," Kohli signed off. Patidar felt that 190 was a par score on a strip which was on the slower side. "After the Qualifier, we thought that we can go through. I think 190 was a good score on this track as it was a bit slow. Bowlers executing their plans was tremendous to watch." He praised Player of the Match Krunal Pandya for his 2/17 that became the game-changer. "Krunal is a wicket-taking bowler. I look for him whenever we need wickets. Suyash and the pacers were good all season. Shepherd gave the key wicket tonight." We will come back next year and lift the Cup A "dejected" Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer believed that fearless newcomers have been the biggest plus for the franchise which would come out all guns blazing next season to win an elusive IPL crown. "Proud of each individual in our team, a lot of youngsters played their first season. Their fearlessness was phenomenal. Job is still half done, we have to win it next year. The way we turned up to every game was a positive, they've gained a lot of experience and we can build on that next year," the PBKS skipper said. He felt that a total of less than 200 was a par score on this track. "They bowled excellently. Krunal was phenomenal, used his experience, that was the turning point."
