Ferne McCann's acid attacker ex 'dating Love Island star from behind bars'
Arthur Collins, who once dated Ferne McCann and shares a child with the star is currently in prison following a vile acid attack but is said to have found a connection with a former Love Island star Ferne McCann's shamed ex boyfriend has found himself in a new relationship from behind bars, according to reports. Arthur Collins, 32, is currently serving 20 years in prison for a vile acid attack in a nightclub which left 16 people with chemical burns. At the time of the attack, Collins was dating the former TOWIE star but he has now reportedly found a romantic connection with another reality TV star. Claims suggest Collins is romantically involved with former Love Island star Amelia Peters and has been flirting with her from inside prison. It's thought the duo first connected last October when Collins contacted the 26-year-old ex-Islander after spotting her Instagram account. A source claims the pair are now in regular contact, with Collins sending Peters bouquets of flowers. She is also said to have been visiting him regularly in prison. A source told the Sun: "They talk all the time — despite the fact he's in jail. He's got a phone they speak on and he's sent her flowers a number of times.' It's an offence to have a phone in prison and Collins has already had his sentence extended by eight months in 2018 for smuggling a phone into the jail. The latest reports come days after Collins was probed over fears he was plotting to smuggle drugs into Cat C HMP The Mount using drones. Prison chiefs launched an investigation over suspicions dealers were flooding the jail with drugs using drones. There had been concerns that the thug - who shares daughter Sunday with ex-partner Ferne, 34 - had masterminded the plot in the Herts prison. However, no police investigation was carried out, and the Mirror revealed he was been moved to a tougher jail. A source said: "Collins has been at the centre of a major internal prison investigation. "There were fears drug dealers had been using drones to flood HMP The Mount with drugs. It's a huge worry that tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs were going to make their way into the jail. "The police have not been called in as it has been dealt with internally. Collins has now been moved to another prison, which is a lot stricter." When Collins was jailed, Ferne released a statement. At the time, she said: "Ferne's thoughts are of course with the innocent people caught up in the events at Mangle last April. No-one should ever be faced with violence on a night out." Speaking after the sentencing, she explained how she visited Collins prison and told him: "This is the last time you will see either of us. "You have ruined our lives. This is what you have done. And this is what you are missing out on. You will never see us again."
