Course overview
This is not challenging for the pros and there is minimal wind in the forecast, so those who can hit it long will have every chance of shooting a low number.
Last year's 3M Open
With a final-hole birdie, Jhonattan Vegas, at 17 under, sealed the deal by one shot over Max Greyserman. Matt Kuchar and Maverick McNealy finished tied for third at 15 under and Taylor Pendrith was fifth.
Take a chance on some outsiders
The dust has barely settled on the Open and the PGA tour rolls on with the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.
Unsurprisingly, Royal Portrush hero Scottie Scheffler is giving this one a miss. In fact, none of the world's top 10 are playing in Blaine this week and their absence gives this tournament a wide-open look.
World No 11 McNealy is the highest-ranked player in the field, as he bids to build on last year's third-placed finish, but there are plenty of tempting options at bigger prices.
Why Fowler can win the 3M Open
California-born Rickie Fowler is not the most reliable golfer in town but has shown glimpses of form in recent starts, most notably shooting a final round 65 to finish tied-14th at the Open last week, and this tournament represents a significant drop in class for the six-time PGA Tour winner.
Why Wallace can win the 3M Open
Englishman Matt Wallace has finished outside the top 20 in three previous starts in this tournament, but last year's day-three 64 was only two strokes off the course record. A long enough driver and good around the greens, he is a PGA Tour winner and shot two rounds in the 60s at last week's Open, albeit finishing only 45th.
Why Schmid can win the 3M Open
German Matti Schmid is still looking for his first win as a professional, but he hits it long and has finished top 20 in the previous two 3M Opens. He lost out by only one shot when second in the Charles Schwab Challenge in May. Another top-10 finish followed in the BMW International (tied-seventh) early this month and he made the cut at last week's Open (69th).
Highest-ranked players in the 3M Open field
11. Maverick McNealy
22. Sam Burns
25. Wyndham Clark
27. Chris Gotterup
28. Sungjae Im
36. Max Greyserman
37. Taylor Pendrith
38. Akshay Bhatia
42. Adam Scott
46. Tony Finau

Travis Kelce hosts exclusive 'Happy Gilmore 2' screening for Chiefs teammates in camp

Travis Kelce may have missed the ' Happy Gilmore 2' premiere in New York, but the Chiefs star still put on a screening of the movie from training camp. The sequel to Adam Sandler 's 1996 comedy classic was released to Netflix on Friday, and Kelce - one of many celebrity cameos - appears in the film as a waiter. And the tight end got to bask in his latest acting gig alongside his teammates as he hosted an early screening of the film from Missouri Western State University. Kelce greeted attendees of the casual event with 'Happy Gilmore' merch and could be seen holding a putter before the movie started. in a video posted by the Chiefs to X. It wasn't long before Kelce's teammates saw him on screen and were left delighted by his performance. At one stage in the clip, Kelce proudly repeated one of his character's lines from the film, yelling 'blueberry jubilee' as the room was left in stitches. The guy on the Chiefs and The Waiter in Happy Gilmore 2. Thanks for the early showing! Watch now on @netflix 🍿 — Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) July 28, 2025 Ultimately, Kelce and his teammates seemed to enjoy the break from the grind of training camp as the team thanked him on X. 'The guy on the Chiefs and The Waiter in Happy Gilmore 2. Thanks for the early showing! Watch now on @netflix.' The screening was also attended by motivational speaker Damon West, a reformed crime boss who was invited by coach Andy Reid to speak with the team. West posed with Reid, Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes for a photo which he later posted to social media. While Kelce was unable to attend the film's premiere on Monday - with Kansas City training camp beginning the following day - it was clear that he made an impression on Sandler. Kelce shared the screen with Bad Bunny in the film and Sandler had huge praise for both while speaking from the premiere. 'They were both so confident and so funny. They're gonna go on and do whatever the hell they want,' Sandler told The Hollywood Reporter of the pair. 'But I'd love to do something with them again, because I got very friendly with them, and I love them both.' Kelce is one of several famous athletes in the film, as golfers Scottie Scheffler, Colin Morikawa, Fred Couples, Tony Finau, Bryson DeChambeau and John Daly all have cameos in the film. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac also scored a role in the film, as did rapper Kid Cudi, Margaret Qualley, Bennie Safdie and many more. For Kelce, the film represented his movie debut - though it wasn't his first time acting overall. He previously appeared in five episodes of TV series 'Grotesquerie', as well as one episode of 'Moonbase 8' in 2020. Kelce also served as an executive producer on film 'My Dead Friend Zoe.' For now, the 35-year-old is gearing up for his 13th NFL season after flirting with retirement this offseason. Kelce mulled hanging his cleats up following Kansas City's 40-22 loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl, but ultimately decided to play at least one more year following the disappointing result. The Chiefs will begin their preseason schedule on August 9 against the Cardinals before opening their regular season in Brazil against the Chargers on September 5.

Lionel Messi and his wife Antonella look awkward as they are caught on Coldplay kiss cam at Miami concert - but avoid any controversy

Lionel Messi and his wife Antonella were caught in an awkward moment at a Coldplay concert in Miami on Sunday night after being shown on the venue's 'kiss cam'. Messi, 38, was seen attending the show at the Hard Rock Stadium with his wife and children on the final night of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour in the United States. At one point in the concert, he and Antonella were spotted on the band's 'kiss cam' as they waved while smiling to the crowd. The couple avoided becoming embroiled in a controversial incident, unlike Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, who were caught with their arms around one another - before trying to avoid the camera on July 15 - in an incident that since went viral. Byron, the former CEO of Astronomer, a technology company that provides services for companies that want to use Artificial Intelligence (AI), opted to resign after being seen with the business' HR chief Cabot. That was confirmed in a statement released by Astronomer on July 19. Coldplay x Messi No words, no interviews — just greatness. #Messi #Coldplay #GOAT #InterMiami #ASkyFullOfStars — Daniel Solana (@DiceElDani) July 28, 2025 Messi, 38, was seen attending the show at the Hard Rock Stadium with his wife and children on the final night of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour in the United States It read: 'As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,' the statement said. 'Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.' 'While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We're continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems.' At the time Coldplay front man Chris Martin, cracked a joke which stirred rumors over the couple's awkward reaction. 'Oh look at these two! Oh what? Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy,' Martin said to the crowd. Public records suggest both Byron and Cabot are married - but that they live at different addresses to those listed as their spouses. Massachusetts property documents dated in January confirmed that Cabot is currently married to Andrew Cabot, the chief executive of Privateer Rum, a Massachusetts-based booze maker. It is unclear exactly when the pair tied the knot, but the documents confirm that Cabot, whose maiden name is Stanek, was married at the time of selling a $1.8m (£1.3m) property in Watertown, Mass, earlier this year. Privateer Rum's website lists Andrew Cabot as its CEO and COO of the company, and public documents show that he has been married at least twice before, in 1993 and 2014. He shares two children with his first wife Maud, who shared a picture of her ex-husband with Cabot looking loved up at his daughters 25th birthday party on social media in April of last year. Cabot even posed with his son Henry, 30, in the snaps, and was seen wearing a wedding ring at the event - which was missing during her cozy Coldplay date with Byron. Byron is also married, with his wife Megan Byron, removing his last name from her social media accounts shortly after the exchange with Chris Martin went viral.

Chelsea transfer news: Xavi Simons, Jorrel Hato, Morgan Rogers, Rodrygo and more

Though a successful Club World Cup campaign sees Chelsea return from the USA as world champions, the Blues are not expected to slow down their transfer activity ahead of the new season starting in August. The club began the summer transfer windows with their usual vigour and have already completed the signings of Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap, while adding Joao Pedro in time for the Brazilian to score in the Club World Cup final against PSG. Enzo Maresca 's side are preparing for a jaunt into the Champions League next season after finishing fourth in the English top-flight and winning the Conference League in a busy term. Some fans will feel the Blues still have work to do in the summer, with a bulking of the squad needed in some areas to provide the quality demanded by Europe's elite club competition. There is no shortage of funds at Stamford Bridge, with big-money moves a constant fixture of recent transfer windows, and this summer is set to be no different. Here's everything you need to know about Chelsea's summer transfer plans. Arrivals & areas to improve The first port of call for Chelsea this summer was a new winger, as the club decided not to make the deal for Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho permanent. The signing of Jamie Gittens means they have a direct replacement for Sancho, though the departure of Noni Madueke means the club may decide to dip back into the market for another wing profile. Cole Palmer may have shown his attacking quality in the Club World Cup final, scoring two of Chelsea's goals, though he lacked consistency over recent months – highlighted by the fact that he scored just once in the last 20 games of the 2024/25 term – and he clearly needs some help carrying the goalscoring and creative burden. The purchases of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro should go some way to doing just that, with Pedro especially already showing his worth during the Club World Cup. Elsewhere, a bolstering of their goalkeeping ranks could be in order, with a new central defender potentially required if transfers out of the club fall into place. Done deals Ins: Joao Pedro (Brighton, £60m), Jamie Gittens (Borussia Dortmund, £48.5m), Liam Delap (Ipswich Town, £30m), Estevao (Palmeiras, £29m), Dario Essugo (Sporting Lisbon, £18.5m), Kendry Paez (Independiente, £17.5m), Mamadou Sarr (Strasbourg, £11.9m) Outs: Noni Madueke (Arsenal, £48.5m), Djordje Petrovic (Bournemouth, £25m) Kepa Arrizabalaga (Arsenal, £5m), Jadon Sancho (Manchester United, end of loan), Bashir Humphreys (Burnley, £14.7m), Marcus Bettinelli (Manchester City, nominal fee), Mathis Amougou (Strasbourg, undisclosed), Lucas Bergstrom (out of contract), Mike Penders (Strasbourg, loan) Potential targets Xavi Simons, RB Leipzig Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Leipzig sensation Xavi Simons. Talks have accelerated between the two clubs over a potential move, with it now expected a formal offer will be submitted in the coming days. This comes as Joao Felix prepares to leave the club, with a move to Al-Nassr said to be agreed, while Christopher Nkunku could also depart this summer. Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United Chelsea were interested in bringing Man Utd winger Garnacho to Stamford Bridge in January, though a move failed to materialise and the Argentinian winger was also linked to Napoli. However, with the Italian champions cooling their interest, Garnacho having stated his desire to stay in the Premier League and Chelsea selling Noni Madueke, the Blues could go back in for the 21-year-old. Jorrel Hato, Ajax Fresh reports are linking the Blues with a move for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, who can play at left-back and centre-back. The Dutch giants are said to want £40m for the 19-year-old, with Chelsea supposedly having held informal talks to explore a move. Morgan Rogers, Aston Villa The Blues are known admirers of Morgan Rogers, according to The Athletic. It is not known if they deem his position as a necessary addition to the squad at this moment, but that profile of player could certainly add something different in attack while easing the burden on Palmer and co. Reports continue to link them with the 22-year-old, though there is nothing concrete in terms of an offer or approach yet. Mike Maignan, AC Milan Chelsea originally seemed to have one goalkeeping option in mind, with the club targeting Maignan before the Club World Cup, though it is unknown if they may come back in for the 29-year-old French shot-stopper. He kept 12 clean sheets in Serie A last season, but reports are suggesting that the Blues could be disappointed with a new contract potentially convincing him to stay in Italy. Rodrygo, Real Madrid With the departure of Madueke confirmed, expect links to wingers to become increasingly visible in the next few days and weeks. One such link is for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, who is said to be surplus to requirements at Los Blancos. Rumours persist linking the Brazilian to Liverpool, Arsenal and the Blues, as well as Man City.
