Kay Burley's Sky News replacement finally revealed in massive shakeup
Kay Burley's Sky News replacements have been revealed.
The broadcaster, 64, was at the helm of the news network for 36 years, during which time she reported on major events such as the September 11 attacks and the death of Princess Diana. In February, she announced her decision to step down live on air and now, six months later, it was revealed that Sophy Ridge and Wilfred Frost will be taking her place.
On Friday, Wilfred announced on X: "I'm insanely pumped about the all-new breakfast show coming soon. Loads of exciting aspects – but top of the list is partnering with Sophy Ridge. I know we'll bring the best out of each other and together bring you the very best of Sky News in a fresh, warm and inviting way.' It didn't take long before his co-star took to the social media platform to share her own announcement online."
In response, Sophy wrote: "Soooo I'm about to find out how many coffees one woman can consume before 7am. Me & Wilfred Frost will be shaking up Sky's breakfast show from later this year and I can't wait to work together. Presenting Breakfast is a massive honour for me and a real pinch yourself moment [heart emoji]."

My dad created iconic Brit chocolate bar but I no longer buy it… he'd turn in his grave over major change
THE beloved Freddo chocolate bar has long been a staple of UK confectionery aisles - and a fond memory of many Brits' childhoods. But in the digital age, it's also become well known as a litmus test for rising prices. 6 6 6 Freddos once famously retailed for 10p, making it an affordable tasty treat for many across Britain. But soaring inflation has seen its price climb to new, eye-watering heights. The daughter of the classic chocolate bar's creator Harry Melbourne has hit out at the surging costs. Leonie Wadin, 74, told Sky News: "Dad was disgusted with how small it is now and how much they charge for it. "He'd roll over in his grave if he could see it now; he'd be disgusted. It was a penny chocolate. "Since Dad died, I haven't bought a Freddo." The price of a single Freddo has even hit highs of £1 this year in some places - much to the ire of the brand's longstanding fans. Harry Melbourne first made the bars in Australia nearly a century ago, although he was originally from Britain. His daughter added that he "never knew" how popular the bars had become in his country of origin, and that he would be "so proud". He had just been 14 years old when he cooked for inaugural Freddo bar. Viral 'Dubai-style' chocolate is pulled from UK supermarket shelves over dangerous health risk Leonie told Sky that he had changed his boss' mind over the design, who had wanted a chocolate mouse. She said: "He said children are scared of mice, so why not a frog? "Because kids go down to the lake and catch tadpoles." When the bars first hit shelves, they would retail for just a penny. But today, they will cost at least 30p on UK shelves - and sometimes even more. At their UK relaunch in 1994, they cost 10p - a price they maintained until 2007. Despite her grievance at the price, Leonie said Harry's great-grandkids are "very proud" of what he achieved. "Carry on through every heritage, that's what I want," she said. "The Freddo has to be passed on, Freddo is never going to die. "It will always be there… I just want it all passed down, so that the frog is always in our lives." 6

Owen Painter plays Slurp in Netflix's Wednesday, and the actor has opened up about the unique preparation that went into bringing the brain-eating zombie to life WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS. While discussing his peculiar audition tape with Netflix's Tudum, he remarked: "My poor neighbours, seriously. I was like flopping around on the floor for a couple of months." He added: "I was just trying to come up with gags around, like, your nervous system not being about to work right." In another chat, he expressed his initial thrill at snagging such an eccentric character: "It was just fun to play." He elaborated: "I really would try my hardest to actually feel like this creature that the kids had to deal with - like this dog that was coming off the leash.
