The match began with both teams showing signs of uncertainty.
China had the first opportunity through Chen Yang, who failed to capitalize on the chance.
India soon found their rhythm and took the lead when Sunelita Toppo received a pass from Neha Goyal and scored with a reverse hit. China earned their second penalty corner in the 11th minute but faced strong Indian defense.
The Chinese team increased their offensive pressure and earned consecutive corners in the 18th minute. India maintained their defensive strength initially.

A defensive error by Manisha Chauhan led to a penalty stroke being awarded to China. However, India's successful referral resulted in the decision being changed to a penalty corner.
Zhang Ying successfully converted the penalty corner to equalize the score. China secured another penalty corner just before halftime, with Ying scoring again to take a 2-1 lead.
In the 37th minute, despite Neha's attempt being saved by the Chinese goalkeeper, India earned consecutive penalty corners.
Rutuja scored from a variation play assisted by Navneet Kaur to level the score at 2-2.
India continued their attacking momentum and earned another penalty corner in the 40th minute, but China's defense held firm.
China dominated the latter stages of the match, earning multiple penalty corners in the 48th and 50th minutes without success.
The deciding moment came in the 53rd minute when China was awarded another penalty corner. Zhang's flick was deflected in by Xu, securing the victory for China.
The result concluded India's campaign in the FIH Pro League, confirming their relegation to the Nations Cup for the next season.

Yashasvi Jaiswal will be available to play for Mumbai, MCA approves his withdrawal of NOC

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has approved Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's request to withdraw his no-objection certificate application. He will now be available to play for Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season. MCA president Ajinkya Naik confirmed to this paper that the Apex Council accepted Jaiswal's withdrawal application. 'We have accepted Jaiswal's withdrawal of NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai during forthcoming domestic season,' Naik told The Indian Express. In May earlier, this year, The Indian Express had reported how the 23-year-old has now written an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to withdraw his NOC and said he is available to represent Mumbai for the next domestic season. Earlier in May, Jaiswal had written an email to MCA , deciding to take U-turn on his decision to play for Goa. 'I the undersigned would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa which for now has been curtailed ! So I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season ! I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to Goa Cricket Association,' Jaiswal had written then. In April, Jaiswal had taken MCA officials by surprise when he sought an NOC to move to Goa. Jaiswal had cited personal reasons for his shift. Goa had qualified for the knock-out stage of the Ranji Trophy. If Jaiswal had gone ahead with his plan to represent Goa, he would have followed the likes of Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad, this generation Mumbai players who have also represented Goa. The India opener, who has had a splendid start to his Test career and was the best Indian batsman during the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia with a hundred and two half-centuries, said getting a leadership role with Goa was the reason for making the switch. 'Goa has thrown me a new opportunity and has offered me a leadership role. My first goal will be to do well for India and whenever I'm not on national duty, I will be playing for Goa and try to make them go deep into the tournament. This was an (important) opportunity which came my way and I just took it,' Jaiswal had told The Indian Express. Jaiswal had moved from Suriyawan in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi to Mumbai at the age of 11 to pursue cricket. He has represented India since his Under-19 days and burst onto the scene with a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy a few seasons ago. It was his exploits for Mumbai that got him on the national selectors' radar and a contract with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

IND vs ENG: 'I am very sure two spinners will play' - India assistant coach reveals playing XI secrets ahead of 2nd Test

Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav (Photo by) in Birmingham: As India prepare for a crucial clash in the second Test against England at Edgbaston, assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate offered rare insights into the team's selection plans. Following a disappointing defeat at Headingley, India trail 0-1 in the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series, and changes could be on the cards. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! 'I am very sure two spinners will play,' ten Doeschate told reporters on Monday. 'Which ones, we are not sure yet. All three are bowling nicely. Washi (Washington Sundar) is batting really well too.' This suggests a likely return for India's traditional two-spinner formula, possibly a mix of experience and all-round depth. Washington Sundar's ability with the bat could tilt the balance in his favour, especially on a pitch expected to aid turn as the match progresses. Jasprit Bumrah's availability, however, remains a bigger question. Though fully fit, the pace ace might be rested as part of India's long-term workload management strategy. 'Jasprit Bumrah is ready to play, we will take that call at the last moment,' ten Doeschate confirmed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Poll What is your prediction for the outcome of the 2nd Test?
