In an interview with Pinkvilla, Adrija Roy was asked about her thoughts on male actors being paid more than female protagonists. Adrija replied, saying, 'It's disheartening that in 2025, we still need to talk about this. I do feel women work equally hard, sometimes even more, considering how emotionally intense many of our roles are." Maybe it's also seasonal, or something new caught their attention temporarily. But I truly believe in our team and the story we're telling—it still has a lot of heart." Adrija Roy started her career in a number of Bengali television shows before moving to Hindi television. Adrija made her Hindi debut with the show Durga Aur Charu, in which she portrayed the lead. Her stint on Imlie got her a lot of fame. Following Imlie's conclusion, Adrija was cast to portray the female protagonist in Kundali Bhagya. Initially, Alisha Parveen played Raahi in Anupamaa.
