Newly released video appeared to capture the sound of the Titan submersible imploding on its way to visit the Titanic wreck in June 2023.
In time for the two-year anniversary of the fatal Titan submersible implosion, Netflix is releasing a documentary that dives into the tragic incident.
"Titan: The OceanGate Disaster," is a new feature-length documentary coming to Netflix on June 11, just seven days before the two-year marker.
"This new documentary examines OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, his quest to become the next billionaire innovator and the doomed underwater endeavor that forced the world to reconsider the price of ambition in the depths of the ocean," the documentary's synopsis reads.

What happened to Titan?
On June 18, 2023, OceanGate submerged its tourist submersible, Titan, in the North Atlantic Ocean on a voyage to explore the Titanic wreckage. Five people were aboard the submersible: OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, French maritime and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and a father and son from one of Pakistan's most prominent families, Shahzada Dawood and Suleman Dawood.
The submersible imploded about 1 hour and 45 minutes after its trip began, resulting in the deaths of its five passengers.
The U.S. Coast Guard is continuing to investigate what caused the implosion.

French said that she had posted a video in the style that she has been using for social media 'in an effort to convey an important point', although she added that she had 'clumsily used a mocking tone.' 'My intention was NEVER to mock, or dismiss, or diminish the horror of what happened on 7 October 2023 and what continues to unfold from that brutal unthinkable, unforgiveable, savage attack.' She said her intention had been 'to mock and point the finger of shame at the behaviour of the cruel leaders on all sides of this atrocious war.' 'THEY were my target, but clearly I failed to do that, and that's on me. I apologise unreservedly, and I'm particularly sorry that my disgust at Hamas didn't figure. It appeared one-sided and that is wrong.' Almost 1,200 people were killed on October 7 2023 when Hamas led a cross-border attack and took 251 hostages. BBC News reports that 54 remain in captivity. Chanel and Tribeca are continuing their joint mission to support women and non-binary filmmakers with Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program, holding their annual luncheon in celebration of the program at The Greenwich Hotel in New York City on Friday. Given the event is in partnership with Chanel, the guests were dressed up in looks from the French fashion house including classic cap toe shoes and more footwear designs. Miley Cyrus went for a black leather vest and skirt accented by black cap toe heels; Misty Copeland opted for a tweed double-breasted blazer dress featuring a black and white criss cross pattern and complemented that garment with a pair of black T-strap cap toe heels. Lucy Liu selected a fitted striped midi dress and black cap toe pumps with a pearl heel while Jurnee Smollett showcased a long sleeve yellow fitted dress and black flower-adorned shoes. "Wicked" star Cynthia Erivo will host this year's show as it returns to Radio City Music Hall in New York City, taking over emcee duties from Ariana DeBose, Tony Awards said in a news release.
