NKATI organises rally in solidarity with armed forces
KARACHI North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI) organized a rally in the industrial area to show solidarity with the Pakistan Army and to celebrate the conferring of the title of Field Marshal on Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. The rally was led by NKATI President Faisal Moiz Khan.
Thousands of industrialists participated in the rally, expressing their solidarity with the Pakistan Army and raising slogans congratulating the Field Marshal.
Prominent industrialists such as Imran Moiz Khan, Akhtar Ismail, Shehzad Elahi, Shahid Ansari, Ahmer Lone, Azfar Hussain, Yasir Ali, Naeem Haider, and others were present.
During the rally led by NKATI President Faisal Moiz Khan, participants loudly chanted slogans like 'Long live Pakistan Army' and 'Down with India.'
Addressing the rally, NKATI President Faisal Moiz Khan stated that the entire nation stands with its brave armed forces, and the title of Field Marshal awarded to Army Chief Asim Munir is not only a matter of pride for the business community but also for the entire nation.
Faisal Moiz Khan further said that despite being repeatedly humiliated, India has not learned its lesson. He accused India of cowardly attacks, stating that a bomb blast targeting an Army Public School bus in Khuzdar resulted in the martyrdom and injury of children.
He challenged Indian Prime Minister Modi, warning him to come to his senses and declaring that Modi's nefarious plans will soon be destroyed.
He chanted slogans in favour of the Pakistan Army and stated that our army is the guardian of our borders, and the entire Pakistani nation is proud of its armed forces.

21% hike in defence budget
In response to mounting security threats and recent military escalation with India, the federal government on Tuesday proposed a substantial 21 per cent increase in the defence budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 – a move that garnered cross-party support. The figures exclude Rs742 billion allocated for pensions of retired military personnel and Rs300 billion for the Armed Forces Development Programme. A breakdown of the proposed Rs2,550 billion allocation shows: Rs846 billion set aside for salaries and employee-related expenses; Rs704 billion for operating expenses; Rs663 billion for procurement of arms, ammunition and related equipment — both domestic and imported — and Rs336 billion for civil works and infrastructure development. While all three services — the army, navy, and air force — will receive budgetary increases, the Pakistan Army continues to command the largest share due to its size and operational responsibilities. The budget hike comes in the wake of unprecedented hostilities last month, triggered by India's allegations that Pakistan was behind the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan categorically denied any involvement. The two countries exchanged drones and missiles before agreeing to a US-brokered ceasefire on May 10, which held despite India later rejecting Washington's mediation and insisting its military campaign — dubbed "Operation Sindoor" — was merely paused. During the conflict, Pakistan downed six Indian fighter jets and one UAV. Islamabad has since warned that any future violation of its sovereignty would be met with a swift and forceful response. India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has adopted a more aggressive posture, declaring that any future attack could be treated as an act of war. Defence analysts argue that the strategic landscape has changed. With India effectively lowering the threshold for conflict, Pakistan's defence planners are increasingly focused on acquiring next-generation technologies, including fifth-generation fighter jets from China, advanced drones and cyber warfare capabilities. In past years, debates over balancing defence spending with development priorities were common. However, in the current context of heightened military alert and geopolitical uncertainty, the latest budget has drawn little public criticism. Experts warn that absent a credible peace process and sustained diplomatic engagement, the region risks being caught in a costly and dangerous arms race.

Bilawal rejects India's unsubstantiated, politically- motivated allegations
LONDON: The head of Pakistan's parliamentary delegation, visiting United Kingdom, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has again categorically rejected the baseless Indian allegations levelled against Pakistan without credible investigation or verifiable evidence in backdrop of Pahalgam incident. He was briefing the All Party Parliamentary Group on Pakistan during a meeting hosted by the Pakistan Chair and Member of British parliament Yasmin Qureshi at Westminster Palace in London. The meeting was also attended by the cross-party British parliamentarians. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted that Indian attack on civilian population, violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and unilateral holding in abeyance of the Indus Water Treaty - in blatant violation of the international law and modern rules-based system - could have dangerous consequence for the regional and international peace and security. The attention was drawn to what it described as India's 'unsubstantiated and politically motivated allegations' following the Pahalgam incident. Bhutto said India had 'levelled serious accusations against Pakistan without any credible investigation or verifiable evidence,' adding that Islamabad 'categorically rejected these baseless claims'. 'These actions by India are not just irresponsible, but pose serious risks to peace and stability in South Asia and beyond,' he said. The delegation is a part of Pakistan ongoing diplomatic outreach to the international community on the deteriorating region security situation due to Indian aggression against Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari briefed the parliamentarians of the repercussions of the Indian aggression and violations of the Pakistan's sovereignty after the Pahalgam incident, without justification on the basis of investigation or inquiry. In his remarks, Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordina-tion, Musadik Malik, apprised the parliamentarians of the environmental hazards of holding the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance by India, threats to food security and survival of 240 million population of Pakistan, primarily an agrarian economy. The delegation emphasized that Pakistan response to Indian aggression was calibrated, responsible and fully consistent with international law, including the right to self-defence under Article-51 of the United Nations Charter. The delegation underscored Pakistan commitment to restraint, revival of the Indus water Treaty and initiation of a composite dialogue between the two countries on all outstanding issues, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The APPG meeting chair Ms Qureshi reaffirmed the importance of sustained parliamentary dialogue on human rights and regional peace, and lauded the Pakistani delegation's efforts to keep UK lawmakers informed on developments in South Asia. The briefing comes at a time of heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, with Pakistan expressing concern over what it sees as India's attempts to unilaterally alter regional dynamics through aggressive military and diplomatic postures. The Pakistani delegation urged the international community, particularly the UK, to play a proactive role in de-escalating tensions and ensuring adherence to international norms.
