Shaan R Grover worked as an assistant director on Harshvardhan Rane's tragic love drama Sanam Teri Kasam.
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, is doing exceptionally well at the box office. The romance drama marked the big screen acting debut of not just the leads Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, but also Shaan R Grover. Shaan plays the antagonist, Mahesh Iyer, and his performance has left a lasting impression on the audience. Following a few OTT projects, he made his feature debut with this film.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, Shaan R Grover attended Modern School in Delhi before continuing his education at Jai Hind College in Mumbai. Before becoming an actor, he worked as an assistant director on Harshvardhan Rane's tragic love drama Sanam Teri Kasam. He also received acting training from renowned casting director Shanoo Sharma. Shaan has worked on various OTT projects, including the Netflix film Nobleman and web series such as Roohaniyat, Leaked and Dus June Ki Raat.
Recently, in an interview with Zoom, Shaan R Grover shared his opinion on nepotism in the industry and the chance he got with Saiyaara to advance his career. He said, 'If it is giving you actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Ahaan Panday, why are people complaining about it? They do get a better start. But look at me, I am doing a YRF film as the baddie, outsiders also get chances. It is my destiny, luck and hard work here. If you are talented, you will get a chance. Saiyaara is about three different people, with different careers and journeys, coming together to make something so beautiful."
Saiyaara has surpassed the Rs 100 crore net mark in the four days of release. The YRF film is produced by Akshaye Widwani and directed by Mohit Suri. Saiyaara takes the audience to an intense realm of love, featuring Ahaan and Aneet Padda's character arcs before concluding with heartbreak. While Ahaan appears to be a popular face pursuing a career as a vocalist, Aneet plays an innocent composer.
