Chadwick came through the United youth system, winning the Premier League in 2001.
He would go to play for West Ham, Stoke and MK Dons in a near two-decade career.
Ahead of releasing his autobiography Not Just a Pretty Face, the 44-year-old has opened up about abuse he suffered as a young pro.
Chadwick admits cruel comments about his appearance made him want to hide away in his house in the early stages of his career.

He told
"I didn't want to go to the shops, I didn't want to go out with my friends.
"I would just want to stay at home because I was so scared that people would talk about the way that I looked.
"I wasn't able to speak about it to anyone – not even my family, my friends – it was something that I kept so deep inside.

"I probably felt helpless, in a way, because I just didn't know how to deal with it. And I just wanted it to stop, really."
Chadwick's anxiety improved after moving away from Old Trafford to join the Hammers in 2004.
Ex-Man Utd player Luke Chadwick claims his 'stomach twisted' whenever he appeared on TV as he battled depression
He continued: "It wasn't until I came away from Manchester United, and the spotlight's not on you as much.
"I was able to rebuild my confidence and live a really happy life.
"Football was always the place I felt free - the place where I didn't think about anything else."
Chadwick also received an apology from Gary Lineker for comments made on the BBC show They Think It's All Over.
Lineker was a team captain on the panel show, which regularly poked fun at Chadwick over his looks.
The England legend wrote on X in 2020: "I was part of that show, therefore, I too would like to apologise to Luke Chadwick for any hurt caused."

The opening game of the season did not go to plan for the Portuguese following the club's summer spending spree. He was forced to start Altay Bayindir in net due to starter Andre Onana's continuing rehabilitation following a hamstring injury. Frankie Bridge lands new ITV role away from Loose Women amid feud drama

FRANKIE Bridge has bagged herself a brand new role at ITV away from Loose Women. The Saturdays star has seen her name linked to an ITV feud with her Loose Women co-star Myleene Klass and her former bandmate Rochelle Humes in recent weeks. 5 Frankie Bridge has landed a major new ITV role Credit: Getty 5 It is a huge boost for the star away from Loose Women Credit: Rex 5 She will be a judge on M&S: Dress The Nation Credit: ITV The Sun told how ITV had been forced to step-in to ensure there was little-to-no interaction between the former friends amid feelings of tension between the trio. But in a huge boost to Frankie, she has cemented her position at ITV even further after bagging a brand new role on the channel. The singer will be appearing as a judge on the upcoming series of ITV's M&S: Dress The Nation. Frankie has launched her own fashion edits on social media in recent years and was always noted for her style during her popstar days. ITV were quick to jump on this and hire her to give her best critique's to the contestants on the hit show. It was revealed earlier this year that Dress The Nation would be back with Vernon Kay and AJ Odudu back in the hot seat to host. A source told the Daily Star of Frankie's casting on the show: "Producers think Frankie is perfect for the show because she's so fashionable." It will no doubt raise the eyebrow of Rochelle, who is a long-standing brand ambassador for Marks & Spencer, which has an active partnership in the programme. Despite rumours of a rift between the ladies, they dropped huge clues recently that all was well between them. Rochelle and Frankie have both been interacting with one another on Instagram by liking a slew of each other's snaps. Rochelle showed her appreciation for Frankie's holiday snaps with Frankie returning the favour on her bandmate's posts - throwing speculation of an ongoing rift out of the window. Neither Rochelle or Frankie follow her on social media. All three former pop stars now work as Daytime presenters at ITV. They were all once close, with Loose Women hosts Myleene and Frankie attending Rochelle's hen do back in 2012. However, Rochelle and Frankie remained friends with their former bodyguard and Myleene's ex husband Graham Quinn. 5 There had been rumours of a rift between Frankie and Rochelle Credit: Getty 5 Myleene Klass has reportedly fell out with the stars of The Saturdays Credit: Getty Rochelle even posted snaps with Graham in Ibiza last week. In 2013, soon after Myleene's divorce from Graham, guests at the Glamour Women of the Year awards saw her storm over to Frankie after believing she had been blanked. A source previously said: 'Myleene seemed to take that as Frankie taking sides with Graham because of their working relationship." Meanwhile, Frankie and Myleene have not appeared on Loose Women together since an 'awkward' episode last December. Sources said that though they'd rather not be on together, they are professionals and do their best to make things work.

Roy Keane singles out Man United player for criticism following Arsenal defeat

Roy Keane accused Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir of being "weak" for his role in Arsenal's winning goal at Old Trafford on Sunday. Bayindir failed to deal with a Declan Rice corner as Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori prodded the ball into the net at the back post. While Manchester United came close to an equaliser on several occasions, Arsenal held out to secure a 1-0 victory in their Premier League campaign opener. Former United captain Keane was not happy, though, with Bayindir's role in Calafiori's winner. Keane said: "He [Bayindir] has to come with violence, he's got to be aggressive. He's got to be almost saying to players, 'Come in here, come here, I'm happy to deal with it.' "He's got to be aggressive. He's not strong enough. It's like schoolboy stuff." He added: "That's part of the goalkeeper's job. That's about taking command of your area, and also letting your own defenders know, 'Lads, if it does come into this area, I've got it. "He's what, 6"2' or 6"3', and he ends up on his heels and getting bullied. Why don't you bully the other lads? "Why don't you come and punch it and go, 'If you come near me, I'll take your head off as well.' "Don't look at the referee - take control of it. It's like a weakness to it, physically and mentally." There were some positive signs for United, with new signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo showing flashes of quality. But Keane was not getting carried away by United's performance. "With the couple of signings that have come in we saw today, I was encouraged by that and they look like Man United players, they were happy to deal with the pressure, they look like they've got good characters. "Ultimately, they're all talking about hearing the noises again about how it was a good performance, but they've lost the game. "The expectations around the club are that low now, that everyone's almost, almost happy with that."
