Bob Vylan dropped from multiple European music festivals over Glastonbury chant
The punk duo were scheduled to headline the Radar festival at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse on Saturday before the organisers announced they 'will not be appearing'.
In the course of their performance on 28 June, Bobby Vylan led a Glastonbury crowd in chants of 'Free, free Palestine' and 'Death, death to the IDF', referring to the Israeli military.
The band responded in an Instagram Story: 'Silence is not an option. We will be fine, the people of Palestine are hurting. Manchester we will be back.'
Bob Vylan were also set to play at the French music festival Kave Fest on Sunday and open for Gogol Bordello in Germany later this year. Both appearances have been cancelled.
'The band Bob Vylan will not be performing as the opening act on 13 September 2025 at the Live Music Hall,' the German venue said on their Instagram.
Kave Fest said that 'in light of recent events, Bob Vylan have been dropped by their agent'.
'The Eure department and the city of Gisors have informed us they will oppose Bob Vylan's presence at Kave Fest,' the festival wrote on their Instagram.
'This is forcing us to cancel Bob Vylan's appearance at Kave Fest this year. We fully support freedom of expression for ALL artists around the world. Our thoughts are with the victims of war in Palestine and their families. We stand firmly against all acts of war and hatred.'
The performance by the punk duo, who go by the names Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan, was broadcast live on the BBC but the corporation later said it 'should have pulled' the coverage. In the aftermath, Avon and Somerset Police confirmed they were assessing videos of both Bob Vylan and Kneecap's performances at the festival.
Glastonbury organisers said they were 'appalled'' by the chant against the Israeli military which 'very much crossed a line'.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Tuesday and captioned 'Silence is not an option', Bob Vylan claimed they were being 'targeted for speaking up' and that the row over their chants was a 'distraction' from the real issue.
'Today, a good many people would have you believe a punk band is the number one threat to world peace. Last week it was a Palestine pressure group, the week before that it was another band,' they said.
'We are not for the death of Jews, Arabs or any other race or group of people. We are for the dismantling of a violent military machine. A machine whose own soldiers were told to use 'unnecessary lethal force' against innocent civilians waiting for aid. A machine that has destroyed much of Gaza. We, like those in the spotlight before us, are not the story.
'We are a distraction from the story,' they added in the statement. 'And whatever sanctions we receive will be a distraction.'
It was reported on Monday by Deadline that United Talent Agency had dropped the band after their Glastonbury set.
The agency appears to have scrubbed the act from their official website.
The Independent has contacted the agency for comment.
Earlier this week, American officials revoked the punk duo's visas ahead of their tour of the country because of what deputy secretary of state Christopher Landau called 'their hateful tirade at Glastonbury'.

Those comments sparked a furious row involving politicians and the BBC, which allowed a live stream of Bob Vylan's set to continue, while the band have since had their visas revoked for scheduled performances in the United States. Avon and Somerset Police also confirmed it was investigating whether any crime had been committed. Irish metal band The Scratch have now confirmed they will not perform at Radar Festival this weekend, in a move to 'support' Bob Vylan. In a statement shared on Instagram this morning, the band called out the 'censorship and deplatforming of artists' who have spoken out against Israel's actions in Gaza. And although the band sympathised with the situation festival organisers faced regarding Bob Vylan, they will no longer perform their scheduled gig on Sunday. "To be clear, this decision is not a criticism of Radar Festival," the band said. "We understand it was an incredibly difficult and complex situation. This is about showing solidarity with Bob Vylan and any artist who may face similar treatment in the future." Their statement added: "This situation will only worsen unless we, as artists, support one another and take action." Radar Festival is yet to announce a replacement for Bob Vylan as headliner tomorrow. Organisers issued a short statement on social media on Wednesday, which said: "Bob Vylan will not be appearing at Radar Festival this weekend." Speaking prior to the band's cancellation from the line-up, Marc Levy, chief executive of the Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester and Region, said: 'Bob Vylan has engaged in open incitement against Jewish and Israeli people in the biggest music festival in the world. "The fact that this was broadcast live on the BBC is a national shame. It's right they have been criticised and given an apology. ‘Baywatch' star David Charvet has no regrets leaving Hollywood for construction
David Charvet left Hollywood nearly two decades ago and has no interest in going back. The actor, who starred in "Baywatch" and "Melrose Place," has turned to construction. In 2008, he and a business partner launched Jones Builders Group, which primarily builds luxury homes in the Los Angeles area, People magazine reported. "It was one way for me to leave Hollywood and to still be creative," the former '90s heartthrob recently told the outlet. "It was also one way for me to ensure that I would be home every morning and home every night so that I could raise my two children." "… I don't miss the fame," the 53-year-old reflected. "I don't miss the workload that we had because we used to work a lot, and it's very hard to raise a family that way. I commend all of the actors who have families that are able to balance that." The outlet noted that when Charvet and his then-wife, Brooke Burke, started having children, he realized that acting would need to take a backseat. He was eager to be a present father to their kids, Heaven Rain, now 18, and Shaya Braven, 17. The French-born actor pointed out that at the time, more and more films and TV shows were being filmed outside Los Angeles, which meant he would be away from his family for extended periods of time. Charvet insisted that while he misses some parts of Hollywood, he has no regrets about walking away. "I miss the camaraderie that I had with the people on the sets," he said. "I had old-school producers and old-school people that worked as a unit, and it was a real family... [But] I wouldn't change anything. "I have to say that what I've experienced with my kids and what I've experienced in the last 17 years has definitely made me a better man, has made me understand what it is to have real relationships and be able to treat people kindly and have more of a humble approach in life." Back in 2022, Charvet told Page Six he left the spotlight so that he could reinvent himself as "the father I wanted to be." "Before I had my first child, I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music," he told the outlet at the time. "There's no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life." "I didn't want to go and take a TV show that was in Canada, I didn't want to travel to Europe to do my music," he continued. "I wanted to stay home, and I wanted to be a good dad. I wanted to be there for my children every single day."
