iPhone 16 Users Issued Major Security Warning By Indian Govt: What You Should Know
iPhone security warning issued by the Indian government relates to the issues that have been fixed with the latest iOS, macOS and iPadOS update. iPhone 16 and other users have got a security risk alert from the Indian government this week. The new warning has been issued just a few days after Apple released the iOS 18.6 update for users that comes with a host of security fixes. The alert from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-In clearly highlights the need for iPhone, iPad and even Mac users to install the latest update immediately. The security warning talks about multiple security vulnerabilities that can be exploited to bypass device control and gain access to confidential data. The latest CERT-In security bulletin dated August 4, 2025 comes with a high severity rating. The alert says, 'Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Apple products due to type confusion, use-after-free errors, out-of-bounds memory access (read/write), integer overflows, buffer overflows, race conditions, logic errors, improper file parsing, insufficient input validation, improper privilege management, and flawed memory handling. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted requests on the targeted system." If the hacker is able to exploit these risks, they can use malicious applications to target the devices and make them unusable. As we mentioned before, Apple already knows about the vulnerability and has offered the iOS 18.6 update for the mentioned devices and platforms. All you have to do is go to Settings – General – Software update to install the new update and secure your devices. You can also join the iOS 26 public beta program which is available for iPhone 11 and later models. view comments First Published: August 06, 2025, 07:34 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. iPhone 17 Pro Max leak: Papaya orange color sparks huge debate among Apple fans
What's behind the papaya orange leak? Live Events What is it about this color that is causing such a fuss? What else is known about the iPhone 17s? Will the papaya orange make the cut? FAQs (You can now subscribe to our (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel Apple's iPhone 17 Pro Max isn't even official yet, but one rumored detail has already turned the internet upside down. A new leak suggests Apple may be introducing a striking papaya-orange colour and reactions are as intense as the color itself.A new leak says that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will come in a bright "papaya orange" color, which has Apple fans arguing. Some people like the big change, but others think it's a design flaw. There will be four models in the iPhone 17 series, and the camera layout will be different. It is expected to come out in September, as per a report by Vietnamnet image that was leaked by reliable tipster Sonny Dickson is the source of the color that is lighting up tech blogs and comment sections. The picture, which is said to show lens protectors for the iPhone 17 lineup, showed a bright orange color called "papaya."AppleInsider then released concept renders that showed the iPhone 17 Pro Max will come in five colors, including the bright orange and more common colors like graphite gray, silver, deep blue, and not everyone agrees on what the color really is. Some people say that it might be more like copper or bronze than bright neon orange, which makes the initial leak seem less has always had a clean, simple look, especially on its Pro models. That's why the rumored orange has gotten a lot of attention, from people who are excited to people who don't want it at all, as per a report by Vietnamnet person on social media said it was "the worst phone color I've ever seen," while others defended it, calling it "fire" and "a breath of fresh air." A well-known Apple leaker named Majin Bu even posted a glowing mockup with the words "This looks incredible."Macworld also found an internal Apple reference to the Pantone color "TCX Papaya," which is a very bright orange color. If this is true, it would be one of the biggest changes to the look of Apple's high-end phones in years, as per a report by Vietnamnet iPhone 17 series is going to be a big design update, even with the color issue. There are four models expected: the regular iPhone 17, the super-thin iPhone 17 Air (also called the iPhone 17 Slim), and the high-end iPhone 17 Pro and Pro are rumors that the iPhone 17 Air will be Apple's thinnest and lightest phone yet. This is probably because of Samsung's Galaxy Edge series. The standard iPhone 17 will have two vertical cameras, but the other three models will have a horizontal rectangular camera layout like the ones on Google's Pixel four models are expected to have aluminum frames, glass backs, better camera systems, and the next-generation A19 chip, which is made for more advanced AI has not said anything about the leaks, as is usual. Fans will have to wait until the company's keynote in September to find out which colors will actually be available. If papaya orange (or something like it) makes the final cut, it could mean that Apple's Pro line will be bolder and more expressive in the future, as per a report by Vietnamnet people think that's smart, while others think it's a mistake. But one thing is for sure: Apple's next announcement is going to be a lot more a leak that hasn't been confirmed, but trusted insiders say the "papaya" color could be is expected to unveil its iPhone 17 lineup in early September.
