The Cincinnati Bengals have a reported asking price in a Trey Hendrickson trade.
Whether another team matches that asking price is a very complex conversation, though. Few players of Hendrickson's value rarely become available for trade and have his mixture of production (NFL leader in sacks, All-Pro, DPOTY finalist) and possible upcoming decline due to age (30). A desired contract extension that could be $30 million or more per year complicates matters further.
Still, plenty of teams have a general interest in Hendrickson. The following teams could get in the mix and offer something that might interest the Bengals.
Let's get the obvious one out of the way first. Hendrickson following Lou Anarumo to the Colts, like Germaine Pratt and others could eventually do, is a layup in terms of projections. The Colts aren't likely to give up the 14th overall pick, but perhaps they like the idea enough to give up that second-rounder, 45th overall, plus another late-rounder.
The Commanders just moved on from Jonathan Allen and want to win now. That 29th pick in the first round could possibly be up for grabs as a result. Otherwise, the Bengals would have to wait for No. 61 in the second round. Before his release, Allen seemed like a nice piece in a trade package. Perhaps Daron Payne, instead?
The Bengals are going all-in around Caleb Williams, but that likely doesn't include giving away the 10th overall pick. But No. 41 in the second round might be on the table. Dennis Allen coached Hendrickson in New Orleans, too, so there's a connection that could drive more interest than other teams.
This is a really undesirable idea for the Bengals because the Bills are direct AFC contenders. But Buffalo is still looking to recover from the Von Miller mistake and that 30th pick might just be enough compensation to woo the Bengals, anyway.
The champions have the last pick in the first round and love to go all-in while overwhelming opponents with pass-rushers. This would net some bonus points -- it would ship Hendrickson out of the AFC and still let him go play for a contender, sort of like how they did right by Joe Mixon.
The Chargers cut Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack is a free agent. Maybe they don't offer the 22nd pick, but a package of mid-round picks might be appealing to the Bengals.

Bengals go with big name in recent 2026 NFL mock draft

Bengals go with big name in recent 2026 NFL mock draft The 2026 NFL draft in Pittsburgh is still 11 months away, but that doesn't mean early mock drafts and big boards aren't already flooding the internet. Our friends over at Draft Wire did just that recently, posting a first-round mock as the NFL heads into Organized Team Activities. The Cincinnati Bengals had the 24th pick in this mock, as the order was set using reverse Super Bowl LX odds, giving the New Orleans Saints the No. 1 pick. RELATED: Bengals news: Jermaine Burton buzz, practice urgency and more The Bengals don't have too many cornerbacks entering a contract year, but one of them is former second-round pick Cam Taylor-Britt. The Bengals could be in the market for a starting cornerback next season, which makes the pick made by Curt Popejoy sensical. With the 24th pick, the Bengals selected Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson. Listed at 6-1, 195 pounds, Jackson started all 13 games last season in his first season with the Crimson Tide after two seasons at USC. He recorded 52 tackles, two interceptions, seven passes defended and had a forced fumble. In three seasons between the Tide and the Trojans, Jackson has recorded 87 tackles in 33 games with two interceptions and 11 passes defended. Report: Indianapolis Colts' QB Anthony Richardson getting another opinion on shoulder

Report: Indianapolis Colts' QB Anthony Richardson getting another opinion on shoulder Colts' QB Anthony Richardson is reportedly getting another opinion on his injured shoulder. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is going to miss this week's minicamp practices with a shoulder injury. As Shane Steichen described prior to Thursday's final OTA practice, Richardson experienced shoulder pain the week prior. Upon further evaluation, the testing revealed that the pain was related to the same AC joint that Richardson injured during his rookie season. Steichen did not provide a specific timeline for Richardson's return, other than mentioning that he hoped to have him back at some point during training camp. Since then, reports from NFL insiders have been more promising. This includes Tom Pelissero saying that Richardson would "1,000 percent" be ready for training camp, although he added the caveat that even if he is available on Day 1, that doesn't mean he's going to be a full go. On the flip side of that, while making an appearance on the 'Rich Eisen Show,' Albert Breer's insight into Richardson's shoulder injury was far less promising, saying that the quarterback was going to get a second opinion. "It was the second day of OTAs that they shut him down," Breer said. "He's going to visit with Dr. Neil ElAttrache, I believe that's going to happen this week to go and get it checked out. ElAttrache was the one who did the surgery initially. It's one of those Rich, when you're talking about the soreness coming back in the shoulder, and no he hasn't had surgery yet, but he's going to have more opinions on it, it just gets you worried. "I would say I take both of them very seriously because anything to do with a quarterback's throwing shoulder, elbow, wrist, whatever is serious, but when it's a repeat, that's when it's like oh boy. It seems at least right now like there's a really good chance Daniel Jones is going to be the starting quarterback for the Colts in Week 1 and Anthony Richardson faces a lot of uncertainty going forward." The hope would be that this is the Colts and Richardson being cautious with his shoulder, but as Breer mentions, second opinions, particularly on a quarterback's throwing arm, aren't a good thing generally. Even if Richardson is good to go for training camp, he's going to be playing catch-up when it comes to competing with Daniel Jones. Richardson will have missed most of OTAs, all of minicamp, and whatever time is potentially needed to ramp up during training camp. This isn't to say that Richardson can't still win the job in this scenario, but he'll have to make up ground quickly.

Bills Trade for Bengals Stud Trey Hendrickson Proposed by ESPN

Bills Trade for Bengals Stud Trey Hendrickson Proposed by ESPN originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Buffalo Bills are without a doubt "all in.'' And so the idea of Bills Mafia being able to get its hands on Trey Hendrickson has not - and should not - go away. Advertisement The Bengals superstar edge Hendrickson - coming off a career-best 17.5 sacks - has been mired in the same situation all offseason. A few months ago, he seemed optimistic about staying in Cincy. 'Inevitably, the goal is to win a Super Bowl for Cincinnati,' he said, 'What that looks like this season, whether it's something we can agree on in terms, that would be great. …'' Well, it's not something they've agreed upon. We're told he wants $30 million per year in a new extension, which frankly does not seem unreasonable. But Cincy has not budged, and now the player is accusing the front office of lying to him. Advertisement "We would like to get Trey extended?" exec Duke Tobin told The Cincinnati Enquirer earlier this offseason. "Yes, he's an important part that played well for us, right? We can't have guys at the top of the payroll in every position, right? We'll do what we can. We'll do what we what we feel is right, and we will try to get Trey re-signed." They've tried that. They also tried to trade him. And now the player is threatening to sit out the season in protest. ESPN has an answer, or so it thinks: Dan Graziano says Buffalo should offer a 2026 second-round draft pick to Cincy. "I could see Buffalo pouncing to secure the veteran edge rusher it needs to take down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs,'' he writes. "With offseason pickup Joey Bosa already injured, this move would help the Bills' pass rush add a stronger, healthier option. Hendrickson might not get the new contract of his dreams, but perhaps Bills general manager Brandon Beane could sell him on an improved chance to get to the Super Bowl." Advertisement That all seems wildly rosy to us, but ... No Bills player last year had double-digit sacks, and only Gregory Rousseau had double-digit tackles-for-loss, with 16, to go along with a team-leading eight sacks. And Bosa is indeed hurt, though only until training camp. Is Hendrickson the addition needed to get the Bills over the hump that is the Chiefs remains to be seen, but he would be a major addition for a Bills team that is seen as the biggest contender to the Chiefs in the AFC. Hendrickson has star quality. He's got 70.5 sacks in the last four years, putting him in a class with T.J. Watt (73.5) and Myles Garrett (72). Advertisement So if the Bengals ever sell? Sure ... The Bills should try to buy.
