According to reports, the actress-model died after suffering cardiac arrest at the age of 42. Her sudden demise has left a deep void in the Indian entertainment industry.
Shefali became an overnight sensation during the early 2000s after she starred in one of the biggest remix songs of the year Kaanta Laga . With her confident persona and bold appearance, she quickly bagged the title of 'The Kaanta Laga Girl.' Following that, she signed her first film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. Although she had a limited role, but that became an extent of her Bollywood film career.
In 2011, she starred in one more film- a 2011 Kannada release called Hudaguru . She even participated in two seasons of Nach Baliye as well as Boogie Woogie between 2008 and 2016. Sources indicate that she had been undergoing anti-ageing treatment for the past five to six years, to improve skin texture and promote a younger look. Jariwala is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home. Late-night footage showed her husband, Parag Tyagi, urgently taking her to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival by doctors. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem to unearth the exact cause of death, and the results are expected by today (Saturday). Anti-Ageing Process Linked To Her Death? The anti-ageing treatment Shefali Jariwala was reportedly undergoing involved the use of Vitamin C and Glutathione, a drug commonly used for skin lightening and detoxification. A doctor familiar with such procedures noted that these medications are cosmetic in nature and do not have a direct effect on cardiac health, reported NDTV. However, the precise cause of Jariwala's sudden death will only be confirmed following the results of the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis. Over time, she made a shift to television, appearing with her husband Parag Tyagi on the dance reality show Nach Baliye. She further expanded her TV presence by joining the cast of Bigg Boss 13.
