Disney+ deal - How to get a subscription for £1.99 as part of huge new offer
Disney+ is offering a rare subscription deal as part of a limited-time promotion
Disney+ has launched a fantastic streaming deal, offering subscriptions for just £1.99, saving customers 60 percent on the usual price. The House of Mouse's streamer has initiated this 'limited-time promotion' which is available to both new and returning customers.
For four months, subscribers can enjoy Disney+ Standard with Ads for only £1.99 per month. Ordinarily, this would set you back £19.96, but it's currently available for a mere £7.96 – that's a whopping £12 discount.
But don't dawdle, as this offer won't be around forever. It's set to expire on June 30.
After the four-month promotional period, Disney+ Standard with Ads will automatically renew at the then-current monthly retail price unless cancelled.
This deal makes Disney+ the most affordable major streamer when compared to the cheapest subscription tiers of Netflix (£5.99), Amazon's Prime Video (£5.99) and Apple TV+ (£8.99). And it couldn't come at a better time, with a jam-packed summer slate of new and returning films and series on the horizon, reports the Mirror.
Leading the charge is the Disney blockbuster Snow White, which is already available for streaming. Also coming up this summer are Marvel's Ironheart (June 25), season four of The Bear (June 26) and the new prequel series Alien: Earth (August 13).
These exciting additions will join an ever-expanding library featuring recent hits and critically acclaimed series such as Andor, Welcome to Wrexham, Rivals, Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun.
The enticing £1.99 deal grants access to gripping titles such as Stolen Girl, Good American Family and the second season of the hit reality show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Disney+ ensures minimal disruption with less than four minutes of adverts per hour, a stark contrast to traditional terrestrial TV.

Pirates of the Caribbean star 'steals the show' in 'near-perfect popcorn entertainment'
Deep Cover has dropped on the streaming platform Prime Video has just dropped a 'near perfect' action comedy that's brimming with exceptional turns from an illustrious ensemble. The eagerly awaited Deep Cover descends on the retail titan's streaming service from today (June 12), promising to meld high-octane excitement with snappy comical moments in a single flick. Anticipation for the rollick was already sky-high amongst cinema enthusiasts following Amazon's premiere of the film's teaser. Leading the cast is Jurassic World's Bryce Dallas Howard, flanked by Lord of The Rings luminary Orlando Bloom and Ted Lasso star and funnyman Nick Mohammed. Per the official description, this trio of London improv thespians unexpectedly get drafted by the Met to infiltrate the most perilous criminal syndicates in the capital. Their objective: conduct covert ops to collar the crooks, using nothing but their keenest ad-lib prowess – all while sticking to the cardinal "yes, and..." doctrine, reports Surrey Live. The narrative springs from the creative minds of Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow, who doubles up as a producer. Trevorrow is lauded for helming the Jurassic World series and crafting the 2012 cult hit Safety Not Guaranteed. The fully fleshed out screenplay hails from Brit comedic pair Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen, who adapted the story to the London location. They're celebrated on the circuit as The Pin. Early reactions to the new release helmed by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow suggest it could be his best project to date. An early review revealed: "Probably the most enjoyable project in years with the names Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly attached to it." The film has also garnered acclaim for its ensemble cast, with one critic noting: "It's near-perfect popcorn entertainment, an action-comedy with okay action and really funny comedy that puts its all-star cast to work playing exaggerated pastiches of their usual screen personas." Orlando Bloom, famed for his roles in Lord of The Rings and Pirates Caribbean, is tipped as the film's scene-stealer, according to a review stating: "Orlando Bloom steals the show in Colin Trevorrow-produced fun, high-concept crime comedy." Rotten Tomatoes at one point showcased the picture with a rare 100% fresh score, but based on a small pool of reviews, final reception remains up in the air. Nonetheless, critics are positioning the film as the top draw for streaming this weekend, with one commenting: "Snappy and entertaining with a strong cast that boasts superb comedic timing, Deep Cover is a fun, if safe, easy watch that's fit for the streaming age." Offering further endorsement, a critic from the esteemed Roger Ebert website contributed: "It's one of the most surprisingly funny films of the year so far, a reminder of how far a comedy can overcome when it hires the right people to land the jokes."
