Where is the Travelodge Crawley hotel?
The budget hotel is a short walk from Crawley Train Station, which is less than an hour from central London.
The walk is easy, going through the centre of town and is a great affordable option near the airport.
What is the hotel like?
The hotel is what you would expect from a Travelodge - simple but clean.
There is an on-site restaurant where you will find the breakfast being served.
Otherwise there are vending machines with snacks for late night munchies
What are the rooms like at the hotel?
My Super Room room is one of the newly designed rooms, with a large double bed so soft that I fell asleep quickly after a late night arrival.
Along with a working desk, Freeview TV and chair there are tea and coffee making facilities (and the classic bottle opener attached to the side of the wall).
I loved that there was USB chargers in the walls as I am always forgetting to bring a plug.
Our bathroom didn't have any hand soap in the machine, so we had to lean over and use the soap in the shower.
Despite this, the room was extremely clean, with fresh towels and extra bedding if needed.
Rooms start from £35 - nearly half of the average price you will pay for a Travelodge near the airport.
What is there to eat or drink there?
The breakfast buffet is small, with a few hot and cold options.
I was slightly disappointed that you had to request vegetarian sausages to be cooked, with just bacon, pork sausages, hash browns, eggs and beans on offer already made.
But if you want something quick and easy without having to go too far, it will definitely fill you up for the day.
Don't forget, kids under the age of 14 get to eat for £1 per adult.
Otherwise the bar serves alcoholic drinks like wine and beer, as well as food from 5pm to 10pm from nachos and pizza to burgers and curries.

What else is there to do there?
Being an affordable hotel chain, there is little else to do in the hotel itself.
But it is in a great location, being a short walk from the nearby shopping centre.
All of the pubs and bars are also a short walk away if you want a night out on the town.
Otherwise it is a great option if you have a flight to London Gatwick but don't want to pay the price of an airport hotel.
Taxis take around 10-15 minutes from the hotel to the airport, while the train is one stop and takes 9 minutes.
Is the hotel family friendly?
The hotel has some family rooms with adjoining doors, as well as cots on request, depending on availability.
Is there access for guests with disabilities?
The hotel has two lifts, as well as a number of accessible rooms.

EasyJet completes roll out of modern navigation software
EasyJet has completed the installation of new navigation software on 54 aircraft to ease collaboration with air traffic control (ATC) staff. The UK's biggest airline said the system shares real time aircraft trajectory information with ATC providers, helping create more efficient route calculations. The future air navigation system-C (Fans-C) software also involves instructions from ATC controllers to pilots – such as 'climb to 36,000 feet' – to be relayed by text rather than radio, reducing the chances of misunderstandings or hold-ups. EasyJet said it has retrofitted the programme on all 54 of its A320 and A321 neo family planes. The carrier's new jets rolling off the Airbus assembly line are equipped with the technology as standard. EasyJet said the software has saved it 334 tonnes of fuel since it began using it in 2019. It said last month French ATC disruption was responsible for the majority of its delays this summer. David Morgan, chief operating officer at easyJet, said: 'Technologies like Fans-C are not only essential for the modernisation of airspace, they will be critical in helping deliver meaningful reductions in fuel, carbon emissions and noise pollution. 'To maximise the potential of these technologies, it's critical that airspace reform is finally delivered, and this means more direct routes to help reduce congestion and delays. 'The UK Government has taken positive steps to redesign UK airspace – we now need those plans delivered swiftly here and across Europe so we can properly harness these technologies and capitalise on the environmental benefits they will deliver.' The Department for Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority are establishing a group of aviation experts to work with UK airports on modernising airspace. It is hoped this UK Airspace Design Service will launch by the end of the year. A radar-related issue was blamed for a UK ATC failure by provider Nats on July 30 which forced the cancellation of more than 150 flights, disrupting thousands of passengers.

TRAVELLERS were spotted riding horses through a river as hundreds descended on a tiny village for Britain's biggest pony and trap drive. Groups were seen in Brockenhurst - one of the New Forest's top beauty spots - as they plunged their horses and carts into a river as families, who were soaking up sunshine on the bank, watched on. 6 6 6 Young guys riding bareback charged in formation up and down the river as part of a tradition to cool their horses after a pony and trap drive through the Forest. It was the dramatic finale of the Tracy Cooper New Forest Drive, the biggest of its kind in the UK, which has been going for over 20 years. Yesterday's cool down came after temperatures hit sizzling point, with some unhappy locals saying the ponies should not be out in such heat. Animal welfare officers were present on the riverbank at the Balmer Lawn in Brockenhurst where scenes resembled the world-famous Appleby Horse Fair. At one stage, one officer shouted at two young riders to 'stop with the whip', adding: 'Stop whipping the horse' when they tried to urge their horse on with one. Riders were also prevented from riding the animals up and down roads with police waving them down and telling them to go back to the river bank. The car park at the popular family bathing spot had been closed off from Saturday evening and all day Sunday with warnings that an event would be taking place there today. But the sudden appearance of hundreds of pony and traps – their numbers three times bigger than the previous day – at the site took some unsuspecting families by surprise. Some goggle-eyed guests from the nearby Balmer Lawn Hotel who had been enjoying a post-Sunday lunch stroll beat a hasty retreat as the horses descended. She said: 'Mine is the only traveller drive in England which has a permit, permission and public liability insurance. 'It is the only one in England that tries to do it the right way.
